Don't bother wasting your time to call. Not a very professional company. April, the alleged manager, is rude and inconsiderate. Her team does not keep the customer informed as to the status of repairs, and then April blames you the consumer for wanting timely information. Despite being promised twice that I would be called regarding the status of my repair, April told me (after my complaint) that they close at 4pm on Friday and no one would have told me that I would be called back after that time. So after the implication that I was a liar and after having waited three days for an update from them, April then said that she couldn't help me. While waiting for a return call from JD (the answering service promised me that they would call as well), I called other much kinder customer-service oriented plumbers. Do yourself a favor, and skip JD Earl, and find someone else. When you are dealing with something as critical as plumbing, you should be timely informed as to the status of your repair. In addition, (we have a Bosch) April blamed Bosch for the poor response time--she said that Bosch was a "horrible company to work with" and told me everyone else in our community switched to a different water heater. True or not, plumbers should no berate the manufactures of their customer's products and blame the manufacturer for their own inadequecies. I believe I was spared a horrible experience--my only damage is lost time--please use my experience to avoid have to endure something even more costlier.

This is the contractor used by my builder to install plumbing and drainage for the house. Less then two years ago I had an issue where when I bath tub was used it would flood the garage when drained. JD Earl was required to come and repair under warranty. The college student who stays in that room returned from college and took another bath. Lo and behold you will not believe it but the drain pipe still leaks.

Now they will not work with me to come up with a fear way to resolve the issue. $225 trip charge ( increased from $175 when i first called in this morning) plus full cost of repair.

Question if they could not do it right the first time, or fix it right when given a second chance why would i throw money at them to try a third time? Oh, by the way if this warning is not enough and you do want to use them anyhow, don't use the web page to request contact. I have waited 4 days now for a response to my request over web, and called them twice. They have claimed to call me back but when i look at my carriers records i don't show any calls to my number today.

JD Earl was the contracted plumbing service used during my house build. They have serviced the plumbing a few times & have been great, but now that my warranty is out I needed to pay for my service call, which is fine, I expected this. Unfortunately, they do not accept credit/debit cards. Only cash & check, which was not communicated to me ever. This created an issue for me today & was very unexpected given they have been in business for more than 5 years & are the contracted plumbing service for a major builder in Houston. I realize credit cards charge a fee for transactions, but the plumber just charged me $125 for less than 20-minutes of work & they didn't fix anything. Seriously nothing. The plumbers themselves were very nice & knowledgeable, but considering they couldn't fix my issue (as it turns out my leak was not from plumbing), the charge was disproportionate to the work provided.
