I wish I would have read these reviews before I hired JCS. I signed a contract and PAID IN FULL for start up and shut down back in late winter. first year with doing this. I called March and they could not schedule me until 4/27. Bet people who didn't sign contract got an earlier appt. the owner came out and the heads were not all popping up. Owner said there is a problem with my well and to call a well company. after further investigation, it seems my heads were not popping up because they were restricted by grass. As a widow and someone who was not use to dealing with sprinklers, I did not know this was a thing. I started digging and one by one all heads popped up. System is working fine. There are a few heads that need adjustment and a few that may be broke so I called JCS back on May 10 and was told he couldn't come out until June 2. Again, I bet a new customer got a quicker appt. June 2 no one shows. the very rude and incompetent person who answers the phone said I was not on the schedule. No doubt I was not happy. She says he is booked for a few weeks and then going on vacation (in the summer?) did I want to be on a wait list. I say no I want an appointment. She gives me June 7 (is that a few weeks? incompetent). I ask for a confirmation email, which she sends and it has the wrong date (incompetent). I call and finally get the correct date. Next day she calls and says the owner doesn't want to replace my heads and would refund my money. I say I DON'T WANT A REFUND, I WANT MY HEADS ADJUSTED OR POSSIBLY REPLACED. They refuse. So now I have wasted 2 months with this company. Called another company they will be out in a few days and I did check their reviews. all 5 stars! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE SORRY.
Horrible customer service. They showed up to do a system turn on and move a sprinkler head as I am having a new walkway installed. I set aside time in my schedule for the service call. When they came the guys were nice enough. But the owner, Chris decided they were at my property too long and had them leave without changing the sprinkler head. Chris is rude and unresponsive and his assistant is nasty as well. Go with Pacific Lawn Sprinkler. You always get courteous people. When they come, not only do they give you the service that you asked for but they go above and beyond. Chris his business promises but doesn't deliver. Run far from this business!
Justin L.We have been using this company for ~4 years to open/close our sprinkler system. This year, we left several messages to schedule our closing and never got contacted back. After my 4th call (in November) and a directed email, I was finally emailed back stating that they were no longer servicing our town and claiming that they had returned our call and left a message. I do not suffer dimensia, nor am I an avid drug user, and I have no memory of them ever calling me back so pretty sure that was all fabricated. Furthermore, wouldn't the fact that I made several calls suggest that I had never gotten that message, if it were actually real? It's terrible to make a business decision that impacts your customers but never send them an update on what is going on. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, or you may be the next person who gets dropped without notice.
Will N.Terrible Customer Service. The owner's wife was awful on the phone. The guys that came to my house didn't seem to knowledgeable about turning on the water system. They recommended the owner coming another day but wanted me to pay for the set up fee even though nothing was set up. I refused to do so and said I would once the owner came and set it up. She refused to let me get off the phone and kept telling me I needed to pay. I requested to speak to the owner and she said she is part owner and the owner's wife and he will do what she says. She then said she'll handle this in another matter and hung up on me. Very unprofessional.
Just had Pacific Lawn Sprinklers on 05/05/18 come to my house because of this situation and turn everything on. They had zero issues and was very thorough and knowledgeable. So glad I had this issue with JCS because I can now count on Angel B from Pacific Lawn Sprinklers for all my needs.
I had JCS for a year to do the start up and winterization of my sprinklers. Before the sprinklers were winterized in 2017, I found a leak in two of the fittings. I called JCS and asked them to fix the leaks. They said they could not fix it during the winterization, that it would have to wait until the spring start up. I wanted the leak fixed last year. However, I made the appointment for the spring start up and to fix the leak way in advance, and I paid for a gold contract. JCS came to do the spring start up, and one of the workers said he fixed the leaks in the fittings. I was there when he supposedly fixed the leak in the fittings. At that time, they said there was a leak in one of the valves. I had them replace the valve. Then they said all the valves needed to be replaced, and I had them replace all the valves. I spoke with the owner personally that day and told him the original leaks were from the fittings, and he was aware of this, and said the leak was fixed, but the valves also needed to be replaced, and I had them replaced. I also spoke to JCS last year and a few times this year about those original leaks in the fittings; they were very well aware of these leaks. The valve issues came up after the original fitting leaks were supposed to have been fixed. I paid a total of $650 to have ALL THE LEAKS fixed, the valves replaced, and for a new timer. I immediately informed JCS after their workers left that day that the fittings were still leaking. I e-mailed them several times, and I called them. The owner came to check on this while I was not home and said all the leaks were fixed. I e-mailed JCS again several times and told them I still thought the fittings were leaking and that I would check again in a few days. I did check again, and I had a certified plumber with me to check also, and the fitting are still leaking. I e-mailed JCS again, told them the fittings were still leaking, they denied that the fittings were still leaking and denied that they didn't touch the fittings. I explained to JCS they did touch the fittings, that was the first thing they were supposed to fix before the valve issues occurred, and I explained to them that their worker did touch the fittings and said that the leaks in the fittings were fixed, and that I was right there with their worker when they were trying to fix the leaking fittings. I explained to JCS that I had a plumber also look and the leaks in the fittings were still occurring. JCS refused to fix the leaks in the fittings that I paid to have fixed, and then became angry and said that they would not service my sprinklers anymore. I was not asking them to do anything that I didn't already pay for, and all I was asking them to do was to come out and fix the leaks that were supposed to be fixed from the start and that I already paid for. They refused to fix the leaks and blamed it on my sprinkler system being old. There is nothing wrong with my system except it has a few leaks, as any system does, and I paid to have the leaks fixed. As a matter of fact, when the owner came out to check on the leaks he did have to fix one of the brand new valves that I paid for that was leaking, but did not fix the fitting leaks. I paid $650 for valves that probably didn't need to all be replaced, I paid for a gold contract, and I paid the $650 to have the original fitting leaks fixed. Again the valve issues did not come up until they were there to start up the system and to fix the original fitting leaks. So now they will only refund me for the winterization part of the contract because they refuse to fix the leaks and refuse to service my sprinklers, and they have now left me to try to find another company to have my sprinklers winterized. And I have to now pay someone else to fix the leaks that JCS was supposed to fix and that I paid for. I was very nice to JCS through all of this and very nice to their workers, and all I asked was for them to come back and fix the leaks that I paid to have fixed. They have refused to do so.
Rolando B.Two sprinkler zones were not kicking in, so I call JCS as I have done several years. They came in right on time, the problem was resolved in a very professional way. The prices in parts and labor were very reasonable. For the past several years I been contacting them to winterize the system. Never encounter any problem. I used to deal years ago with April Showers, but thru the years they stated to lack on service, parts and the prices on labor went to the roof. JCS is highly recommended!!
