A water line into my house cracked and was gushing out gallons per minute. I call JBG, and they sent someone the same day, in the evening. Tyle Garrett came. Not only was he a lovely young man, he did an excellent job. I have water again -- phew!

I called the company because my tankless heater stopped working. Tyler was professiona, diagnosed the problem, relayed it back to the office where they spearheaded getting a warrantied part over nighted from California to get me going again before Christmas! These guys hustled so fast to get my part and get be back on track. Highly recommend this company! Customer service is everything. Thanks again to Tyler and all the staff at JBG!

Do NOT use this company to install your hot water heater! They installed a new expansion tank with a brass fitting connected to galvanized steel pipe. Connecting these two metals leads to corrosion which caused a leak into the electrical connection which fried the unit. They refused to compensate me for their error and charged their typical $99.50 service fee when they came out to see the failed unit. Very disappointing. They did offer to reduce the cost down to $1800 for providing and installing a new unit. Instead, I installed it myself after paying $610 for a new unit.

Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism. We had a leaky Outdoor Water Faucet. The young boy came and spend three hours to unscrew the old one. In the end, he charged me more than $800 for the service. This type of work should not deserve three-hour work. The charge was extra high!

Be careful of creative billing. 1.25 hours @ $99.50/hr magically turned into $264.00 in labor charges. Also discovered multiple problems with the work that was done - corner of the sink is bent, there's a gouge in granite countertop, and no sealant or putty around the faucet base plate which leaks.

Update a month later: They repaired the leaking faucet after 2 weeks, a phone call, and 2 emails, but denied responsibility for the damage to the sink. The $65 surprise additional helper fee was finally removed 2 days before the invoice was due, but they are still billing for 2 full hours instead of 1.25 (a 60% markup) despite no notification of that policy beforehand. They added a 30 day late fee after only 15 days, I think because the owner is all twisted about this review, and just now took it off a day before the invoice is due. I've paid them a small amount, the corrected labor rate and material costs minus my material costs for the sink and the countertop repair, but they are still responding with nothing but threats. And I am left back where I started - needing to buy a sink and pay someone to install it. Along with the possibility of a lien and a court dispute.

I cannot stress enough that this business should be avoided. There are plenty of other plumbers in town. JBG Plumbing is incompetent and dishonest.

We had a leaky toilet and they came and changed the ring on the bowl. That afternoon I noticed it was still leaking and called again. They came and changed the ring again. The next morning I noticed water on the floor again and called. They asked if I wanted someone to come out that day and I said yes since they hadn't repaired it the day before. He came and said the tank had a crack in it. He went to Lowe's and bought another toilet and installed it. I was stunned when I saw that they had changed over $400 for a service call. I called to ask about it and he said they charge that because it was a holiday. It was Friday and no one ever mentioned that to me. I told him that and he said he would check on it and call me back. No call back so I called again and they said they would check on it and give me a call back. It has been over a week and no surprise NO call. Never use JBG Plumbing again.

They fixed three of the four issues--one toilet still does not work right. The plumber was professional and efficient. But they replaced one small part in the shower which cost $160 just for the part. I would have asked about that, but I did not get the invoice until after I had paid. I should never proceed without asking for an estimate.

For years now I've used JBG Plumbing for my primary residence, a residential remodel, and my business's buildout and continued plumbing needs. I wish more business conducted themselves like this one does.
