Our water heater developed a big leak, so we called American Home Shield on Monday Nov 29 at 10 am. They said JB plumbing would be assigned, and that I would hear back within 24 hours. I followed up with a phone call Monday morning and was instructed to leave a message They said he was an authorized vendor. Home shield emailed this guy. I followed up with a phone call to the business, the message was if you have an emergency leave your name and phone number and someone will contact you as soon as possible. I had an emergency, so I did. I looked at his Yelp review page and wow 5 stars. No callback on Monday, i called again Tuesday, no response. Called Home shield they called him and got the machine and no callback. Called again on Wednesday left a message, and here we are at Thursday, December 2nd and No response. Called Home Shield, they tried to call him again and got leave a message. They quit him and referred me to another service provider. That business called me back within an hour and a said they would be here at 9 am tomorrow, so far so good. I'll post how that went and the name of the businesses.
If JB plumbing had simply called back an said he was swamped and I needed to call someone else would have been satisfactory. All the good reviews I feel we're probably solicited by the business. Maybe friends or family, who knows. But if you did use him for a repair and were unhappy with his repair and needed a follow up visit, this failure to return calls should worry you.

Awesome service. Very fast and courteous. Owner, Jimmy, is full of information and even knows the temperament of old houses (while also keeping up w new technology). He grew up in the area and is super friendly and professional. Keeps the house clean as he works. Responds to texts quickly. Very reliable, overall!

It seems I never need a plumber unless it's an emergency ( in my mind). I have used JB several times and got great service and prices. He has worked on hot water heaters in two of my homes and put a new recirculating pump on my home. He's wonderful about explaining what is needed in layman terms. I highly recommend them!
