We received a 'constant water flow' notice from the city of Glendora. Like a good city should, they offered a leak-detection program, where they would come out for free and find where the leak was and what needed to be done. However, typical Glendora, they were shorthanded and had a backlog of jobs, and would not be able to come out for two weeks! So their 'free' offer was totally useless, unless we wanted to pay for untold gallons of water that were leaking someplace on our property.

We did an Internet search for plumbing leak detection and JB Plumbing was the first name that came up. We had never used JB Plumbing before, and in all honesty had never heard of it. We cast our fate to the wind and gave them a call. From the friendly gentleman that answered that call to Johnny and Walter, who did the brunt of the work, to supervisor Ryan, who stopped by several times to provide input, it was a total professional operation. Every one of them was knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, hardworking, neat, and punctual. Even when they ran into a few unexpected twists and turns in the manner in which the pipes had originally been installed, they understood the situation and were able to quickly resolve any unforeseen issues.

Yes, calling JB Plumbing was a total crapshoot on our part and we won! We highly recommend them.

10 Stars + and many more for Ryan. I had a minor leak at my main shut off valve and Ryan diagnosed, assessed and most of all resolved the problem expeditiously and with a very reasonable charge. Ryan is a well experienced and very professional plumber. I was very satisfied with the prompt response and extremely fast service. I will definitely be using JB Plumbing in the future.. When you call, don't forget to ask for Ryan!

Work itself seems solid and well-done. The reason for my review are customer service related:

1) my original appointment was missed. I had to reschedule later in the same day only after reaching out to the company myself. The reason given was that the system went down this weekend and ALL appointments were lost. Either that was a lie to avoid an awkward situation or they have poor appointment management practices. I can't recommend a business with either of those possibilities.

2) I was originally quoted $1100 (on the high end) by Ryan when he gave an order estimate. His first quote to me when he began work the next day jumped to $1350 which we were eventually able to knock down to $1155 by substituting parts. So my eventual installation price using basic parts ended up $55 above the ""high end"" of the originally quoted price. The reason given was cost of materials, but if you are familiar with the parts used in drains, they are all between $2-$15, the cost is almost entirely in the labor. Once again, either I was lied to or they have poor estimate management practices. I can't recommend a business with either of those possibilities.

I would recommend JB Plumbing to whom that needs fast and experienced plumber. I requested the service from them for sewer leaking. The manager contacted me back in less then 10 minutes. His technician Cory came to my house within 1 hour and gave us a good service.
One big plus point for them is the technician helped us to clean up the floor after he's done.
Good customer service, fast response and experience technician!
