Contacted JB Plumbing and Heating to address a couple items from a home inspection report. They responded to the request immediately, and showed up on time (hard to come by these days). Mark was very courteous in making sure their large van was parking somewhere that did not cause issue with our neighbors, and used matting in the house to make sure they weren't leaving any mess behind. All around a great job. I would use them again, for sure!

I hate to give a poor rating but he refused to come and do the work I needed. It was just simple repairs for a toilet and a slow drain but he refused to do the work. Another plumber had fixed it last year but it was acting up again and I wanted to try someone new. He claimed that he refuses to do work when another plumber has not finished their job properly. I guess he stays busy enough and doesn't need the work. UPDATE 5/10/18: BEWARE if you give this guy a bad review he will keep calling you and harass you to change your rating. Anyone can look at my profile, I write VERY few bad reviews, most of my reviews are very positive. My review simply stated the facts: he refused to do the job. I didn't say anything mean or inaccurate. Now he is also claiming that he isn't capable of clearing a drain, doesn't do that kind of work. What kind of plumber can't fix a slow tub drain? Mark has now left me 2 very long voicemails telling me I must change my rating. How many stars should I give for someone who refused to do the job? I'm shocked that this guy keeps calling to harass me. Be very careful if you use him. I'm going to have to call the NJ and PA BBB's and also the State Attorney General if he doesn't stop harassing me.

I called Mark, at JB Plumbing and Heating on Monday to replace the shower diverter in my tub. Tuesday morning he was here, made the repair and even managed to find a spigot that almost matched the old one (and I do mean OLD). He did a great job, cleaned up and was very personable.
Mark even had me e-mail a photo of the spigot so he could match it as best her could.
If you want fast, competent service, you want Mark.

We called Mark from JB Plumbing after the gas company hit our plumbing line and flooded the basement. He came quickly to assess the situation and, over the course of 2 weeks, helped us with four big issues: (1) repairing the water line into our basement, (2) replacing and bracing the pipes around the utility sink, (3) replacing the water heater and (4) replacing the boiler. He came early to each appointment. He came one morning at 7 a.m. and one morning when the rest of the city was shut down for a snow storm. I would recommend him for any residential plumbing issue, especially those that are emergencies and require a quick and effective response.

Called Mark at 7am on Wednesday for an issue with the shower piping in my rental property in south philly and the issue was fixed by 10am. Quick and efficient just like a business should be.

He also came back a couple days later because hot water wasn't getting to the bathroom. My tenant had put out the pilot unknowingly so Mark came and lit it back up with no fuss.

Good service. I would use them again.

I contacted Mark to get some plumbing repairs done to my Fishtown rental property after a pipe failed and I had water flooding everywhere.

Mark was super responsive, came and had a look at the problem, gave me a quotation and then made the repairs same day.

Very reasonable rates (especially since it was in a horrible position to work on) and great workmanship. Highly recommended to anyone needing plumbing or heating help!

I contacted this company for a toilet problem I was having in my house. Mark got back to me within minutes and his team was out the next morning. They were in and out within 45 minutes, problem solved! I would definitely contact them again for any plumbing issues.

Mark is outstanding! I received a response to my yelp request in less time than it took to make a cup of coffee this morning. Mark was out less than an hour later and resolved my issue instantaneously! I have unfortunately had to have a few repairs to my home over the years and i have NEVER encountered such prompt and fantastic service from a contractor. While I hope my plumbing issues are few and far between, I will absolutely look no further than JB Plumbing. Contact them. You will not be disappointed.
