I had JB Plumbing come out a few months ago to check on a leak from my bathtub. Instead of fixing it, they told me it was 100% a brick pointing problem and had nothing to do with my bathtub. I paid $75 for that. Then I paid for a brick pointer to come out, who told me it was 100% not a brick pointing problem. Finally, a good friend came over and told me it was OBVIOUSLY a problem with the bathtub. I reached out to JB Plumbing again. They messaged me back on Saturday and said they had availability on Monday, and that I would have to contact on a work day when they're open (the following Sunday) to schedule. On Sunday, I sent several messages in the morning AND called twice. No response. Sent several messages again, and no response. I called five times in the afternoon and left two voicemails, and they didn't answer. Finally, hours later, they sent me a message asking if I was free before 11am. They sent this at 5pm on a Sunday. I didn't check Yelp all afternoon, and then they said ""Nevermind, we are booked."" Why didn't they call me? Only using Yelp is unprofessional and not helpful to clients. They also messaged me that I should ""make sure it's not tile work."" To me, it seems like JB Plumbing doesn't want to come back and fix their mistake. Would have appreciated an actual phone call instead of random messages spreading out over a weekend.


UPDATE: JB Plumbing messaged me and told me they are calling their attorney over my bad review. Apparently you can't even speak your mind and opinion without JB Plumbing threatening you.

UPDATE 2: JB Plumbing responded to this review saying they ""squeezed me in for an emergency."" I'm shocked at how willing they are to lie.

I recommend JB Plumbing to anyone who wants a stress-free experience. I worked directly with Mark for a larger project to get my curb trap replaced. He was so easy to work with and very professional. I had a great experience with JB Plumbing. I woke up Sunday morning to find my hot water heater was no longer working, since hot water heaters naturally go bad on Sunday mornings or national holidays. I contacted JB Plumbing and I got a response within minutes and was on schedule for a replacement first thing the next morning. The crew arrived on time, and were extremely courteous and professional. They installed a high quality (and high efficiency) Bradford White hot water heater rather than the lower quality products available at chain stores, which I really appreciate. From quick and clear communication, high quality products and quick installation, every aspect of having my hot water heater replaced was handled with finesse by JB Plumbing. I would highly recommend, and I will certainly choose them again for my plumbing needs.

After 17 years with my hot water heater and a toilet that didn't do its job, I sent a message on Yelp to Mark to replace the hot water heater and toilet. After a couple messages to figure out what I needed Mark came over to take some measurement and give me an estimate on the job. We agreed on the price and scheduled an appointment. Only a few hours after he left my heater began clanking loudly so I went downstairs and turned off. I called Mark and after sending him a few pictures agreed that my 30-40 year old boiler needed to be replaced. it was difficult for find an appropriate boiler this late in the season, but Mark persisted and found one. The next day Mark sent Bryan over and in short order he had replaced my water heater, toilet and heater. Now I have a hot shower in a warm house, not to mention the incredible toilet. It was a pleasure working with Mark and Bryan and I will definitely be calling them for my next job. Thanks guys!!

Mark & the team were fantastic! I had a pipe leak and they were out the following day to view. We had it scheduled to fix that day. Fair pricing and honest about how it could change once we open the wall to further assess. Mark was prompt with his emails & texts & I'll definitely utilize JB's services again!

Not enough kind words can explain JB plumbing. I was nervous finding a plumber off of the internet, but when I reached out, I was easily put at ease.

I had a waste pipe in my basement that was soldered shut instead of being cut and replaced. There was also a couple of minor details. I got the quote and Mark also said he'd replace my half bath vanity because it was leaking.

I dragged my feet around the holidays in picking out a vanity, but once I did, Mark and team were able to schedule me within the week to come out. They did a ton of concrete work on top of the plumbing and it all came out wonderfully! The cement dried nicely, the waste pipe in good rider, vanity came out beautifully, and the pipe I asked for to have the dehumidifier go into works great!
