Joedy and his group have done multiple jobs for us over the last several years. They gutted and custom remodeled our kitchen. They added a second bathroom and walk in closet and most recently, they added a beautiful deck between our house and our pool. Besides being great craftsmen and knowledgeable contractors, they are also all very kind.

We worked with Joedy and team on a big home renovation project last summer (June - November). We bought a very old fixer upper in East Sacramento - the before and after pictures are the best testament to their work. I did a ton of research and was let down / did not align with many contractors I met before Joedy. Starting from our first phone conversation through to the end of our project, he and team exceeded our expectations. They were super flexible, accommodating, and communicative (hard to find in this industry!). We are so happy with the final product - which included a room addition, a full kitchen and bath renovation, removing a wall, replacing a window, and so much more. We're thankful and hope to continue to work with Joedy, Blake, and the team for projects down the line (as they never end!).

Johnny, Joedy, and Antonio restored our ~70 year old 3-stall barn. A couple other contractors were not interested and even suggested demolition. JAZ saw the possibilities and we are delighted with the result, it's better than when it was first built! We had our house built over 40 years ago and was long overdue for a major facelift. Every year we would go Home & Landscape Expo at Cal Expo in January. We had several contractors come over to share ideas and give us estimates. We just never pulled the trigger. When we got serious about remodeling our kitchen, I started looking at contractor reviews on yelp. JAZ Developments stood out. I called and Joedy Zapara come out to look at our project. I was immediately impressed with his experience, honesty and sense of humor. His references were unanimously positive. Joedy's bid was competitive, complete and prompt. His time frame worked for us. Hired.

Joedy worked with Sac County's building permit folks to get our plans approved quickly. Demo began on the contracted date. We only added 8.5 square feet to our kitchen nook area, but it required taking out an external deck, removing a wall and resupporting the ceiling. We now have new cabinets, countertops, kitchen appliances, tile flooring, windows and a wall seat. We had the house painted inside and out.

Joedy and his crew became family when they were here. No smoking, no alcohol, and no swearing. They showed up on time and cleaned up their mess before they left. There was at least 2 workers (often more) here every day. His subs were excellent (Sergio-cabinets, Capital City Granite-countertops, David-painting).

We love our ""new"" house. We can't say enough good things about the process and the results. Joedy is a real pro and I'm so glad we used yelp to find him. Things worked out so well for us that our daughter is having JAZ (Joedy) build an 3-car garage with living quarters above it behind their house in Midtown.

Jonny is awesome. I have so much good things to say about him, who is easy to communicate with, good at what he does, gets thing done on time, goes over his way to fix everything, got our budget under control, respectful to customer, responsive to our requests, clean up all the mess. Highly recommend him to anyone need a reliable contractor. We originally hired him to repair and replace two stairs, but end up with couple more things because we like his work and his work ethic. Good job Jonny!

Couldn't wait to write this review - Joedy and his team just completed a massive remodel of my 1939 colonial. We completely demolished the kitchen and built it backup including opening up a wall, moving laundry room upstairs, and adding a master bathroom into existing space. This project was a labor of love and JAZ took care to pay attention to the details AND never lost site of the big picture. Here are a few reasons I never hesitate to recommend.

Professionalism - top notch. Always on time, kept a clean workspace even though no one lived in the house during construction, entire team showed a high level of respect for materials and their work. Their whole team has been together for a few years, and they are all great. Blake and Ricardo led the charge, and Justise and Harrison were always ready and willing to jump into any challenge and find a solution. These guys would always stop to walk me through the work with a smile on their face explaining exactly what was happening.

Communication - many a time I'd call or text Joedy or Blake after hours or on weekends, and I always got a response back (usually immediately). They were proactive in communicating if we hit any issues - hello unknown roof leak causing water damage. Joedy saved me many times with good advice while i was shopping for finishes, brainstorming last minute ideas, and coordinating with the other trades or the city building dept.

Craftsmanship- superior work. So many details and oddities in an old house, and they really impressed with the quality of their work. They preserved the character of the home while modernizing for our family.

Problem solving - giant construction projects have unknowns and managing issues as they come up is such a huge part of picking the right contractor. This is were JAZ shines. When problems came up, they found solutions. Example - I designed our kitchen cabinet layout, and it required a tricky wall layout. Joedy and team moved the new wall 3 times to make the cabinets work. No change order, no extra charge. That 6 inches of wall space made all the difference in fitting the cabinets just so. Having just done a massive project with multiple trades, I've learned that It's impossible to avoid things like this. JAZ made problems go away.

You will not be disappointed if you pick JAZ. I interviewed 5 other GCs and worked with several speciality contractors - paint, flooring, etc- for this project. These guys stand out from the crowd.

This is a long overdue review for Joedy and his team. He has helped us with numerous projects around our house, and as I sat down to get ready to call him this evening about another one... I realize I haven't done my due diligence in reviewing him!

We live in a Sacramento house that is over 100 years old. Joedy and his team came in and converted our nook into a nook + 1/2 bath (much needed in a 2/1), as well as updating some cabinets in our laundry room to give us some much needed pantry space. While he was here he even looked into a problem we were having with our roof, and took care of it for us.

His quotes were fair and always came in accurately. His timelines were spot on. He was communicative, responding to texts and patiently answering all of our questions, and most importantly - we trusted him in our home. Additionally, all of the projects he worked on he was very careful to consider the original charm of the home and ensure that it was still featured.

We recommend Joedy to any of our friends looking for a contractor, and if he can't fix the problem/project, he will refer you to someone who can.

Joedy is fantastic! He and his crew just completed some minor remodeling to my kitchen and family room. New built in cabinets beside the fireplace, new quartz counter, sink, faucet and backsplash. Joedy worked with me in structuring the bid with and without a fireplace remodel. Great communication, even when project was off schedule due to custom cabinets which are made off site which Joedy could not control. Joedy is very professional and I would highly recommend Jaz Developments!

I was very pleased with the work they did to tile my bathrooms. Joedy and Ricardo are extremely customer-service oriented and they ensured that every detail about the work was done to my complete satisfaction. Joedy even came out several weeks after the job was done, at my request, to address one or two minor issues. They tell you when they are going to be there and the actually show up when they say they will and are very responsive to communications. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
