As with anything in construction and repair, your experience is dependant upon the person that the business sends out to do the job. Over the years we have used Jayhawk Plumbing several times, for both small and large jobs. While most were great right away, another may have needed to be tweaked. The constant is the ownership. Brandon appreciates his customers and stands behind the work and experience they provide. I think we all try and do our best to pick a company that will be stellar 100% of the time. With the variable being the tech, at the end of the day if the owner makes sure you are satisfied, that is what matters most.

Here's an update-albeit a little late... Soon after the shower head was installed, it immediately leaked into my basement. I called Jayhawk Plumbing back out and they found the shower head they just installed was cracked. It was obviously over-tightened and cracked during installation. I purchased the part on ebay in new condition because the finish was discontinued by the manufacturer. Since I did not purchase the part from Jayhawk, they would not replace the part, or even install a new part if I purchased it. Instead, they wanted me to purchase all new shower heads for a spa shower from them which would have been around $1400 for parts alone (and they would not have matched any of our other fixtures). I sent them on their way, ordered another part on ebay for $30 and had their competitor install it in under 10 minutes.
They were very helpful at the beginning, but they don't stand by their work. They did a poor installation job, broke a perfectly good part and created an opportunity to gouge me for a couple thousand dollars. Beware!!

Long story short. They had to come out to my house twice to do a job that they should have had done the first time. difficult to reach them by phone as well as they just never returned one of my calls (left voicemail)

If he conducts all his business like he has ours, it is a poorly run business. We had him do work for us in February 2016. After months of asking for a bill, finally gave up. Then in Jan 2017 we received a bill. He said that tickets were lost and he sent a bill with no itemized information. Just an amount. He couldn't tell me how he came up with what he charged us and when i spoke to him he had it wrong about at least part of the work he said he did. He didn't do all he said. Anyway, i stopped arguing and began making payments, I figured it took him a year to bill us, I could get him paid over a few months. I wrote him notes so he would know what we were doing. Now I get bills that don't have the amount we paid deducted from what we owe and a stamp saying overdue for the full amount. I will get him paid and then find someone else to do business with.

I needed a gas line extended into the kitchen because my stove died and I wanted to replace it with a gas one. He worked us into his schedule on short notice right before a holiday. He did the job right. And the price was reasonable. A consummate professional.
