Paid him and the job was never completed!!!! Told me he couldn't talk because he was mugged, but I had been asking for weeks before. He gave this whole story on how he's different than the rest. But at least the rest get the job done!!!!!!!

This man is a liar and a thief. He took over $1000 from my elderly mother as a deposit. When our family let him know that we did not need the work done and asked for a partial refund (he had done ZERO work at the time) he has come up with more excuses than we have ever heard. Three weeks after the date he agreed to issue that refund and after we threatened to sue him, he finally said he put a money order in the mail. More than a week has gone by and naturally we still do not have my mother's money. He has done nothing other than lie and get a bit ugly in text messages and now he is keeping money he did not earn. We cannot find any license issued in his name or the name of his business. Shame on Jay Bennett for scamming the elderly!

Changed the price and upcharged me $100 after the job was complete with no communication. Nice guy but I won't be using again.

He's a scammer. I paid him over $ 20,000 and the job was done completely wrong. Now I have to pay someone else . He lied about buying parts and did a bait and switch. His neighbor said he's on drugs. The way he kept asking for more money with little progress, I think he's on drugs as well. Do not hire him. He always have excuses and sad stories. He's a major liar!!!!!!!! Do not trust him. Run!!!!!

IF he does the work, it will be done well. However, he cannot be trusted. He will not have money for supplies or tool rental to get the job done. He will need more and more money with little to show for work being done. In the past two weeks, he was hired to do a job, paid over $1000 up front as a deposit and because he had no money to buy supplies. He left the site unattended and house unlocked. My property and lots of the supplies mysteriously got stolen while his people were there. He managed to get some of it back..miracle once I threatened police report. He came up with tons of excuses for two weeks about why he couldn't come each day. It is a neverending list of excuses. He also told us that he has insurance. We called the insurance company to file a claim for property damage (which he stated he had filed). There was a lapsed policy and no report had been made. It is very unfortunate to see someone with a solid talent waste it. Beware!
