First of all, I always use local/small businesses as a way to contribute to the community. Let me tell you my experience with James Plumbing. They came to my house on 6/19 to repair an odor coming from our sink. The plumber used our materials and spent 15 minutes at our home, charging us $172. We paid them and we were never given a paid invoice. The issue was not resolved. I called Wed., the 21st, Thurs., the 22nd, and Friday, the 23rd, requesting an invoice for Monday's work. I was asked if I wanted them to come out again to fix the problem they didn't fix in the first place. I said NO and I wanted the receipt from Monday. The receptionist was unprofessional and hung up on me. We finally got the very late invoice on June 27th. We ended up finding another plumber, who took care of the problem immediately. Up until now, we have had wonderful experiences with contractors and businesses. Not so with James Plumbing.

We had a nightmare experience with this company. They came twice to """"fix"""" our plumbing problems. The first time, stayed about 15 minutes and couldn't find anything. They told us to call if it happened again (after we paid $100). When it happened again we foolishly called them. Upon arriving they immediately found the problem to be with the local water and sewer company. They insisted on staying while this company fixed the problem. Then we received a bill for $300 to apparently cover the cost of the phone call! Strongly recommend you do not use this company!

First rate company from beginning to end. We needed our sink/dishwasher hooked up after a new counter installation. Suzette handled my (repeated!) calls with professionalism and poise. Steve, our tech, and his assistant, Cody, were prompt, knowledgeable and they got the job completed quickly and correctly. We highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again if the need arises in the future!

I had a water heater issue today. The plumber arrived in less than 4 hrs. He seemed knowledgeable and was very professional and pleasant. The problem was fixed and the charge seemed fair to me. I would definitely recommend them.

NMB Heating and Air recommended James Plumbing to us and we cannot recommend them any more highly!!! We had an emergency situation on a Saturday morning and reached out to them. They answered the phone, were at our house an hour later and had it resolved shortly thereafter. They even reached out to the city on our behalf to get them to address an issue they found with the tap near the street. They were super professional, a dream to work with from beginning to end giving us peace of mind in an unexpected and stressful moment. They earned a customer for life in us!

James Plumbing has a pretty good rating and was one of the 3 companies I called to get an estimate to replace my hot water tank in North Myrtle Beach. I called a second plumber and was quoted about the same price, but I knew it was hundreds of dollars too high compared to what I have paid recently for the same job in Rhode Island. As a property owner, I have noticed that several service companies seem to be overly pricey in the Myrtle Beach area. The third company I called did give me a fair price that was hundreds of dollars less, and within a few dollars of what I paid in RI. The cost of the water heater alone was the same price at the suppliers, even with the higher sales tax in SC--so that equates to greed, or a company with higher expenses it has to cover. The company I hired was able to meet my condo checker and replace the hot water heater and added an expansion valve to bring it up to code. I also had them replace my garbage disposal because they actually had one in their service vehicle and did this t the same time, avoiding another service call later. They left my condo spotless. I am sure James Plumbing does a good job, but I suggest you get more than one price.

I contacted James Plumbing this morning with an immediate plumbing need. They had a plumber at our home in North Myrtle Beach quickly and as promised. The work was completed professionally and in a timely manner. We will use James Plumbing again.

I have to say that I'm very impressed with this company. I have used them 3 times in the past couple of years, twice at my rental condo and just yesterday at my home. From the telephone call to the actual service performed, they are very friendly and professional. I found their work to be perfection and the charges very reasonable. I have used James Plumbing at my home and business for almost 20 years. I've had nothing but a positive experience each and every time beginning with answering the 1st call, showing up when they were scheduled, identifying the problem, knowing how to fix the problem, having the supplies or the means to get them quickly and getting the job completed! They have replaced hot water heaters, leaky toilets, pipes with tree roots and broken faucets just to name a few. I highly recommend James Plumbing for all of your plumbing needs!
