I was given a quote for $250.00 to remove 2 outdoor fans and replace them with lights. All the wiring was there, and lights were provided. James initially came and was here for approximately 1 and a half hours, and unfortunately the one light was too large and could not be put in place. I was charged the $250.00 and ordered a smaller light, which James told to call him when it arrives, and he would install it. I did order the light, and James did come and installed it, which took about a half hour. I was then charged an additional $150.00. As I stated James was here for a total of about 2 hours, and I was charged a total of $400.00 for labor and travel costs. I feel this was extremely excessive considering there were no parts needed and wiring was preexisting!

There are certain things I feel like you need to pay a professional for rather than attempt it yourself. Those for me are electrical, plumbing and hvac. However I also feel you shouldn't need to spend an arm and a leg to find somebody reliable to help you tackle those projects. I was looking for somebody to help disconnect some things from my breaker box as we no longer used the electric baseboards in my home. I was on Yelp and I found reviews for James. I reached out to him and he contacted me very quickly. We set up an appointment he came out on time and addressed the issue. When he finished I asked him about my water softener. He gave me his advice and I decided so move forward with what we discussed. He was eager to get started the next week however I had other contractors at my house so I asked if he could follow up with me in the beginning of June. He called and left me a message in June and I followed up with him and rescheduled when he can come out and install the new softener and whole house filter. The task was completed very quickly and I am very happy with the results. It's nice to find somebody that takes pride in their work and doesn't have the expensive overhead, and is fair with prices. I already have recommended James for family members and will certainly be contacting him in the future.
