I used this company several months ago for a drain issue in my bathroom. Their customer service was great and communicated everything I needed to know. They came to my home the same day fixed the clogged drain & guaranteed their work for 30 days. I would use them again!

We hired JMF Corp to inspector the sewer at a home we were considering purchasing. The inspector told us the sewer was in excellent condition. After a sewage leak two months later, a plumber we brought in for remediation discovered that our curb trap is located under out front steps where it can't be accessed and doesn't have any ventilation as required by city code. The inspector from James-Michael Fay either didn't bother to fully scope the sewer or didn't disclose these critical issues. Go with someone who knows what they're doing.

CAUSED WATER DAMAGE TO MY HOME. This is a company that does NOT stand behind their technicians. The technicians are NOT certified plumbers. The tech had to remove the toilet to clear the clog, he did not place the toilet on the flange properly and caused severe (sewage) water damage to the ceiling below. The worse part is they are not taking any responsibility to the damage they caused.

I had a back up in my plumbing and being a first time homeowner, my mind went to the worst case scenario. After calling a friend and a friend of a friend, I was referred to James Michael Fay plumbing.
The lady who picked up put me at ease and said that her guys would be out soon.
Within 2 hours, I had workers knocking on my door, however, between the evening and then, the clog seemed to have worked itself out and there was no need for them to come. They took a look anyway and assured us that things looked ok.
I'm happy that it turned out to be nothing, however, I'm sold on JMF for my future plumbing needs.

I called at 1:30 on a Monday afternoon about a problem with the sewer line from my house. Techs were here within an hour and the problem was resolved within another hour. The two guys they sent were very pleasant to deal with and knowledgable, the price was affordable, and there's a 30-day guarantee on the work. I'd recommend them to friends, and will call them again if I have another problem.

I've used these guys twice. The first time, my kitchen sink was backing up, and the plumber said ""We can't reach it, it must be in the drain"". JMF came out and found the clog: a whole lot of food waste at the bottom of the stack (vertical pipe), some 10 or 12 feet down. They cleaned it out-- problem solved.

This time it was my toilet. Again, my first call was the plumber, but again their tools couldn't reach the problem. The number they gave me for a drain guy wasn't working right,* so I called Fay Corp. again. Their man Mike was here and had it cleared up less than an hour-and-a-half from my call.

Yes, their prices seem high to me, but I don't have a scale to compare to and I don't feel deceived. For the kitchen job they told me it would be more on the weekend, so I waited till Monday.

I've never felt more deceived in my life dealing with a business. I had a bad clog in my kitchen sink. I replaced the S trap and still nothing. I was referred to this company and told them that I needed my sink snaked. I was told that it would cost more if I had them come out on a Sunday, so I decided to wait until Monday to give them a call. I called Monday morning and I told the woman on the phone of my news and that I needed an appointment. I told her that I needed an appointment at least after 4pm since I get home from work around that time. The woman said ok and that they would be out by then - SHE EXPLAINED NOTHING ELSE FURTHER. Later that day, the guys showed up around 4:03pm. They snaked our drain through our trap and removed nothing. The snaking worked and it took them only 15 minutes. The guys were nice, on time, and quick. The only star I give is to them. The men charged 1 hour of work for a quick snake of the drain. My wife and I were shocked to realize that it cost $240 for that job! Doctors make less per hour for heart surgery! I was expecting to pay $160 like I was told by my referral (who is my uncle who is a plumber!). The men explained that they charge an extra $80 if the appointment is after 3pm! It would've been nice if the woman I talked to who scheduled the appointment would've told me this. By the way, the guys told me that the woman on the phone is apparently the owner's wife! I called her the next day and she told me that she said that there would be ""an additional charge"" when we first talked on the phone. She BLATANTLY LIED saying that she told me there was an additional charge. Apparently if you deal with her the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG! Her tone could not have been more spiteful. Very rude! BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CHARGED $240 for 15 minutes of easy work! Terrible experience. I will never use them again.

Somewhat quick service but their customer service is not good. We had a drain cleaned out in Philadelphia (just the curb-trap) and their invoice was almost $350. I have never paid more than $150 for a curb trap cleaning (these guys didn't even go inside the house). I called customer service to ask if they can make an adjustment and they didn't even consider it. I'll never use again.
