I hired them to go to my house and do a dishwasher diagnostic. The results they gave me were inaccurate. They also didn't want to give me any results of the diagnostic until they were sure they were paid. Second plumber discovered all the issues that had nothing to do with what Hafke Plumbing had told me initially. I'm glad I didn't do more business with them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Incredibly competent, helpful explanations, above and beyond service. And mine was an emergency service call. Can't recommend highly enough.

I've had three plumbers out this week from Hafke (don't ask!) and they've all be so helpful, friendly, and the office communication has been great. I'll continue to use them for our home. Thank you for your service!

Two stars for the office's work and being responsive to my issue. The rest was horrible. Quoted a ridiculous price to solve an easy repair. In fact, after I sent them away, the next quality plumber told me it would cost him more in time to write the invoice than it was worth in charging for the repair. Hafke has bogus service techs trained to get the dollar over getting the long term customer. Hopefully they are not all that way and I just drew the short straw.

Avoid this plumbing company. Called them after hours, guy came out and said he didn't have a snake in his van, would have to come back later. Came back, dismantled a toilet (for some reason), and said he would have to come out the next day. After working half the day he FINALLY got on the roof and snaked the line - BOOM, problem solved. My friend told me he should have started there. Cost me $650.00 Yesterday my friend had the same exact problem, called a plumbing company, an hour later they were at her house, went straight to the rook, snaked the line - BOOM, it is fixed. Cost her $250.00 The """"supervisor"""" came out and tried to pressure me into pre-purchasing work for them to do, said if I told him that day, I could get a discount on the cost. That turned me off immediately. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You have been warned... ‼

Our main sewer line was all backed up. They were able to get the problem solved the same day that I called to schedule service. Grant and Jordan were very detailed in each aspect of the job, ensuring I was aware of the issue and how they had to solve it. Their manager Michael showed up at a reasonable time to use a camera to check for roots and any other issue that could have caused the back up. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that they were a little pricey based on others in this area, but I was grateful that they were able to be there the day of and fix our issue and they did a great job.

We called Hafke plumbing after seeing their name on the City of St. Pete's list of plumbers they work with. The city had told us that there must be a leak in our water service, due to the fact that we were using a lot more water in the past month or so than usual. It looked like the problem was in the line that runs from the meter to the house, and Hafke gave us an estimate to complete that job. We agreed to go ahead with it. The next day they came out and after they started, it became clear that the real problem was probably somewhere else. They let me know, but we agreed to go ahead because it is an old house and we knew that the cast iron piping would need to be replaced eventually. They also agreed to do some repairs in the bathroom -- and it turned out that it was the toilet and shower fixtures that were responsible for most of the leak. So they finished the job, just a couple of days after we had called them out, and the leak had been repaired. We also had a new line going from the vent, which will be helpful when we eventually need to replace other pipes in the house. I was frustrated at first because they'd told us that they weren't allowed to tie the line that they had repaired into the meter directly, and that the city would do that. They didn't do it right away, and it looked like they weren't going to do it which would have meant that the job was unfinished. I let the technician know about my frustration, so they followed up with the city. It took a couple of weeks, but they stayed in contact with me until the remainder of the line had been tied in. I appreciate that they followed up until the job was done to our satisfaction.

I called James K Hafke for an issue I was having with a clog in my roof vent pipe. When I scheduled the appointment, I provided some detail and when the technician arrived, I explained that there was a clog. The technician immediately started looking at all of the plumbing under the house telling me it was done incorrectly. Having told the technician upfront that the issue was a clog in my vent pipe and that it could be unclogged from the roof, he said he would get up on the roof with a snake for $225. Maybe I should have asked for the granular fine print, but I think it's safe to assume that one getting on the roof with a """"snake"""" is going to """"snake"""" the drain. That's what I assumed so I paid it. After the technician got down from the roof, he told me there was a clog - which is what I said when he initially arrived at my house. From there, he and the other technician that had arrived, proceeded to quote me on replacing all of the plumbing under my house (~$3,000) and/or """"jetting"""" my vent pipe ($~800). So what was a simple issue that could have been fixed in 5 minutes with the proper equipment turned into at least a $1,000 fix...to unclog a pipe. The guys that were here were nice, and I have no doubt they do great work, I just didn't get to see it. I thought their description of services was incredibly misleading (and overpriced) and unlucky for them, they are dealing with someone who will out-petty them any day. P.S. They also blatantly lied about my kitchen sink being disconnected from the main drain line. They said the water from the sink was just running under my house. Once I fixed the vent pipe issue, I ran the kitchen sink by itself and verified (at the cleanout 65ft away from my house) that it was in fact connected and draining.

This morning my 16 year old daughter asked me if we should get Justin and Michael a thank you card- I mean, when a 16 year old understands and appreciates the work that these guys dedicated to our home, that truly means something, but it makes sense. The day after we moved into our new home, anything that could go wrong with the plumbing did. The toilet was backing up into the shower, the laundry wasn't working, when we ran the tub, it drained out under the toilet, and the hot water stopped working. After a camera inspection and snaking, they diagnosed that the newly installed bathroom needed to be completely rerouted and there was a huge clog compounded by orangeburg that needed to be replaced. Of course, after just buying a new home, I couldn't afford any of it, but they really spent time working with me on a few different options that could tide me over until I could pay to get an entire overhaul of the plumbing and after calling a few places about the job, I realized their pricing was more than fair. As soon as I gave them the go ahead, they were there the next day-- they busted their asses cutting through concrete, digging holes, laying new pipe and made sure that at every step along the way that we were able to have at least some measure of working plumbing even though pretty much everything had to be redone. Not to mention, patiently providing a stressed working teacher/mom a course in Plumbing 101 every day for about a week. On more than one occasion, I came home from work and they were still working in the pouring rain-- with a huge smile!!! These guys are super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and will forever be the ones I call when this new house of mine needs some more plumbing love.
