We had a clogged drain on our kitchen sink. I rang our regular plumber but he doesn't cover rotor rooting, however he suggest James Alexander and promised they would do a good job at a competitive rate. He was right!
I called and managed to get them to fit me in that day inbetween other jobs. They arrived on time, were very friendly, did the job quickly while explaining to my husband what they were doing (the blockage was only about 6ft into the drain but they cleared it through to the street for us to make sure there weren't any other clogs) and tidied up after themselves too. I suggested they take a look at our bathroom drain which is clogged with hair (yes we have someone with long thick hair in the family and it is always clogging the bath/shower) but they said what my husband was already doing was the best way to attack it and keep it under control. They could have just gone ahead and charged us more but they were honest.
$125 later and they were off to their next job, promising if we had any further trouble with the drain in the next few weeks they would be right around to fix it at no further cost. However, I don''t think this will be a problem.
I'd definitely recommend them and will be using them again in the future if I have clogged drains.

If your outside drains are plugged call James Alexander. He is one of only a few plumbers who have the right equipment to unclog it and fast. Bearing there is no major root system that require additional work, you will be pleased with the quick results and fair price. He is so sweet and personable as well. As a single woman I am always skeptical about hiring contractors. James put me at ease on the phone and backed it up in person. THANK YOU!!!!

What a pleasure to get someone who knows what they are doing, and out to the problem within a couple of hours!! Knew exactly what could be wrong, troubleshot and confirmed, and had it fixed and back up and running within 90 minutes. Found James in the Acorn newspaper. He's the first plumber I called and he took the time to discuss the best solution to my problem. He researched different products and got back to me when he said he would. He worked very efficiently and for very fair rates. He even waited around for a few minutes to ensure that the newly installed parts were in fact working properly.

So glad we found James Alexander (from yelp). Due to the recent heavy rain we found out our outdoor area drains were completely clogged and our patio/backyard started flooding.

James came promptly when he said he would, was extremely nice to my wife and did a good job clearing out the drains. There were some areas that needed extensive work (digging up, etc) and James was honest and candid about what he recommended doing (which by the way, he recommend going through someone other than him for that job b/c of costs).

He seemed to only have our best interests in mind and I appreciate that. Will call him for any future plumbing needs.

Today I had a leak in a pipe in my ceiling. James was able to come right out after he finished his current job. He was timely, efficient, polite and reasonably priced. He found the leak in no time and fixed it. I would highly recommend his work. I come fro a family of contractors and I know a good one when I see good work!!!
