After reviewing local YELP reviews we decided to call James to fix a couple of leaks occurring under our kitchen sink. He was honest and repaired the leaks in a timely manner. He obviously is very knowledgeable. He returned my calls quickly and gave me a couple of suggestions to try to see if I could repair the leaks myself. When I was unsuccessful, he came right over. I would definitely recommend him to friends and with future plumbing needs, he will be our first call.

We used James on a number of occasions and I'm grateful I found him. James came out to my Dad's house on a Saturday night on short notice to help us with plumbing issues (without charging overtime prices, I might add). This may have been the same night he was late for a family birthday party because he came out to help us. While he was at the house, he noticed that my Dad was relying on a refrigerator in the garage because the one in the house was non-functional. He volunteered -- without being asked -- to move the refrigerator into the kitchen for us. Several months later, he cheerfully dug up our front flowerbed to find and replace the sewage leaks caused by our 50-year-old orangburg pipes (thanks, Janss Corp, for going cheap when you built the house). Not that he was cheerful about taking out the plants, but cheerful about the hard labor of digging a trench at least 12 feet long and 5 feet deep. On each occasion we called James, he went above and beyond for us. His pricing is eminently reasonable. He richly deserves 5 stars on Yelp and all of our gratitude.

OMG...!!! I called to have a sewer drain cleaned out on a late Friday afternoon. Expecting no answer or a very high fee for the service. I was pleasantly surprised that James was available and his fee for the service was very reasonable for the situation. James arrived on time as promised with his helper and proceed to review his options. He was very professional and easy going. James was able to take care of the problem with ease very quickly. James even took off his shoes before entering my bedroom where the problem occurred, what tradesmen actually does this! I thought that he is very considerate and consciousness about his service. I will definitely refer and recommend his services to my clients, friends and family. There should be more tradesmen like him!!!

Right before the holidays, I had a kitchen sink line that was draining slow and would back up into my kitchen sink and garage sink. This line was connect to our dishwasher and laundry washer line that was located in the garage as well. I originally had another plumber out to snake the line. He worked on it for 45mins but said I had a broken line. I was a bit suspicious since it looked like this other plumber was using a blunt end to go ""fishing"" as James calls it...lol. Needless to say, I was not looking forward to shedding out $7-10K to replace my lines that run under my house and this was what the other plumber said he would do. Like going to the doctor, I called on James for a 2nd opinion. He showed up on time and did a great job walking through the issue, asking questions and laying out his plan of attack. He was generally interested in fixing the problem without doing unnecessary work that would hit my pocket. 30 minutes from starting he had unclogged my line and even helped me with another small issue. He also has a 30-day warranty just in case the line somehow clogs again.
Needless to say, I'll be calling James from now on!

I've been waiting for a good rain to review. They came out a few weeks ago to clean our outdoor drains. It was a little more expensive than other companies, but they were able to schedule quickly. With the previous light rain our outdoor drains were flooded. They cleaned all the drains in about 2 hours. With the recent rain we do not have a single area with excess water. I would highly recommend them.

James does everything right. He returned calls promptly, made a next day appointment, showed up when promised and fixed the problem. We had a serious drain blockage that another company could not remedy with two separate crews. James was a recommendation from our regular plumber who no longer does drain opening jobs. This was a very dirty job but James protected the entire area with plastic sheeting and cleaned up afterwards. Even his rags were brand new and white!

James repaired out bathtub drain in expert fashion. During the job he actually sliced his finger open with a sharp tool. He and his assistant were going to leave the job to visit an urgent care center (understandable) since he was bleeding and likely needed stitches. They left our house and a couple of minutes later came back saying that they wanted to finish the job first. He proceeded to wrap his finger with gauze and duct tape, then finished the job. We greatly appreciated his work ethic and professionalism. In addition, he charges a very fair price and worked very quickly. I highly recommend James for all of your plumbing needs.

Our tankless water heater died and - well - good luck finding a plumber that works on those in the Conejo Valley! After a few calls, I was referred to James, and he was absolutely terrific! Prompt, polite, efficient and well worth every penny. In our modern world where honesty and honor are sometimes sacrificed in favor of the quick buck, it is refreshing to find someone like James who takes true pride in doing a great job for a fair price. Will definitely use again, and I highly recommend him to anyone who's looking for a good, old-fashioned working soul. Thanks James! :D

We had a clogged drain on our kitchen sink. I rang our regular plumber but he doesn't cover rotor rooting, however he suggest James Alexander and promised they would do a good job at a competitive rate. He was right!
I called and managed to get them to fit me in that day inbetween other jobs. They arrived on time, were very friendly, did the job quickly while explaining to my husband what they were doing (the blockage was only about 6ft into the drain but they cleared it through to the street for us to make sure there weren't any other clogs) and tidied up after themselves too. I suggested they take a look at our bathroom drain which is clogged with hair (yes we have someone with long thick hair in the family and it is always clogging the bath/shower) but they said what my husband was already doing was the best way to attack it and keep it under control. They could have just gone ahead and charged us more but they were honest.
$125 later and they were off to their next job, promising if we had any further trouble with the drain in the next few weeks they would be right around to fix it at no further cost. However, I don''t think this will be a problem.
I'd definitely recommend them and will be using them again in the future if I have clogged drains.

I moved to TO about 3 months ago and needed some plumbing done. I called James Alexander and he was excellent. He is prompt, courteous, personable, and priced right. I will use him again!
