Heater: 1 technician came to my house to service heater. Minimal ""service"" done to heater. Maximum sales pitch for new heater. Mild threat to ""shut heater down"" by technician due to her perceived repairs needed. Water Heater: 2 representatives ""serviced"" water heater. Found lower element was defective. Tech said ""replacement wasn't part of the service"". Didn't offer to come back to do repair. Drained water heater & left stains from residue on the concrete in my back yard. The 3 techs spent most of their time chatting with each other about office representatives, scheduling & the fact that one of the company vans was currently being repaired & ""wrapped"" after being involved in an accident. I literally had to go outside & call for the 2 water heater techs to come back in the house & finish the ""service"". Very poor quality, value & professionalism. Would not recommend Jake's Heating, Air & Plumbing.

10/10 recommend! From the first phone call to schedule the appointment to the follow up phone call after the service, all people we extremely nice. I received a timeframe in which they would be out and told I would be notified when the tech was on his way. I received a text and phone call when he was 20 minutes out. Chad arrived when he said he would. He was extremely nice and explained things well every step of the way. I was working from home and he was respectful of me being on meetings and was very respectful of my home by wearing his foot coverings, even when I told him he didn't have to. This was the first time we used Jake's and I am very impressed!

Highly over priced! They charge my grandmother $300 to changed the internal parts of a toilet. Was done in less than 15 minutes. They did a good job, but in my opinion, it is robbery for a fixed income senior to pay that price for $20 parts.

Jake's came out to replumb our water softener which had originally been installed to soften only the hot water supply. Our technician did a beautiful job and also rebuilt an exterior faucet which was leaking and could not be turned off. Both jobs were done in under three hours and the price was very reasonable. We can recommend then without hesitation!

Hired Jake's to install a tankless hot water heater and a water softener. This has been nothing but 1 problem after another and was a big ol $4,000 mistake. 1st. The original installers did not seem competent on what they were doing. Constantly having to walk out and make phone calls. Then at the end of the night they had my water heater running from an extension cord because they did not know how to wire an outlet correctly. 2nd. They installed the totally wrong tankless hot water heater. 3rd. They missed their mark when they were running the fresh air and or vent pvc and now I have an extra hole in my ceiling. 4th. Now I keep getting what they refer to as water hammer. They have been out SO MANY TIMES to TRY to resolve this issue and has failed every time. Still to this day 10/25/20 it is doing it. They keep and keep on trying to figure it out the issue but they keep coming up short. They have been here so many times that I feel like I should buy a camper for them to stay in. It is beyond ridiculous that professional plumbers cannot figure out how to resolve this issue that did not exist prior to the tankless being installed. I just don't dont what to do at this point. Do I just give up and live with it? Addition to my update. Jake's came out to my house today 11/25/2020 (AGAIN) to /look at this hammering noise that did NOT start until after they came a/nd did their equipment installation. They still seemed to not be 100% what is was and they used the phrase and I quote this ""I think"" when they were making their new guesses on what the issue is. I am now being told it is a valve that was supposed to have already been replaced but wasnt due to the tech at that time making a different guess on what the issue was. Now they want to charge me for this because they now claim it was just coincidence that this happened. So in the end it is official. I paid thousands of dollars and now have problems that I did not before this ""upgrade"" and will have to pay a different company to come fix this issue. I wish I had this to do over again because this $4,000 mistake would not happen again. I wish I could or knew how to post the videos of the horrific noise that I know have to live with until I can pay someone to come fix it. To who still wishes to use Jakes I wish you luck.

Some of the worst customer service I've ever received from any company in any field. I'm not a regular yelper, but others need to be warned against using these folks. Today is the fifth day Jake's has been scheduled to handle a basic repair to my shower. Two of those days, Jake's staff just didn't bother to show up or notify me. I'm repeatedly told mixed messages about the parts needed--they're being shipped, they're here, they're the wrong parts so we have to go buy more, etc. I've taken multiple days off work to get this resolved and the repair still isn't finished. I'm beyond frustrated with the lack of communication and unresponsiveness.

Jake's has done a LOT of work for us. We've had them fix an old furnace, pump out a crawl space when it flooded, install a new furnace and wifi thermostat, tankless water heating system, water softener, and central air conditioning. For the most part, they've been great - even working into the night to make sure we didn't go without heat. The pricing has always been fair and the techs professional. And, they give me a discount for being a veteran!

The a/c has been the only problematic install. A part was needed to add a circuit breaker to our box and the wrong one came in for the initial install. A/C is a must for me - lung cancer survivor with emphysema - so they temporarily used our stove circuit for the a/c until the new curcuit is installed. These guys do a great job thinking on their feet and finding good work-arounds when they need to. The problem wasn't actually on Jake's. It is a supplier issue. Eleven days later, we still don't have power to our stove because the supplier sent the wrong part again. The right part for our curcuit box seems elusive. I received a call from Jake's - maybe Monday I'll be able to taste home cooked food again. Someone is going to the supply house in person Monday morning to sort it out and I know they will have us going 100% before the day is done. They're almost as frustrated as we are.

Called for service just before Christmas. No show on original appointment date. At least they called. Next day Josh shows up in a pretty new work van with hardly any tools. Couldn't fix the toilet even after I showed him the YouTube videos. Kept going to van to call the shop. Quoted over $500 to fix a toilet he couldn't fix, or $260 to install a new toilet I purchase. Then told me I'd have to make another appointment for that because he couldn't do it that day. Asked if there was a trip charge but he wasn't sure. He had me sign a work order with no charges. Two weeks later I got a bill for $85. I will not be a repeat customer. At least the work van looks nice.

We were having a small problem with our furnace. We called on a Thursday afternoon. They offered to have someone come out within a few hours. However, as this was not an emergency, we said that the next day would be fine. They had someone at our house before 8:30 Friday morning. They isolated the problem, they sent a Nother technician out Friday afternoon simply to bring a filter. The filter that they brought out is usually something you have to order, but instead of making us order the filter, they went and picked it up and brought it to us. They installed the furnace about six months ago. They definitely stand behind their products. From day one, we knew we were dealing with a great company. We have definitely used them for all of our heating, air-conditioning, and plumbing needs. You will not go wrong with, Jake's heating and air. The only drawback is, they don't do electrician work., Darrin R., 22/03/2019, More

My warranty company referred Jakes to come and look at my air conditioning unit after it stopped pumping cool air out. The repair man came out and said nothing was wrong and left after an hour and half. I continued to barely have cool air when 2 weeks later the fan stopped running. The same company came out and after an 2 hours figured out the motor to the fan needed to be replaced. After many nonsense phone calls they said they would come out the next day to fix it. Later that day, I received a phone call from the company asking when I wanted to schedule the repair. I was obviously very confused and frustrated. 4 days later and in 86 degree heat they still have not repaired the motor. Now I am very frustrated, hot, time restraint, the same man returned to my apartment with the wrong motor today. When I asked when he could get the right motor I was told it could take an hour it could take 2 hours it could take 3, but that he couldn't come back the next day. I am now praying the man comes back with the right motor today or I'll be going another 3 days without air. At this rate I could have bought the motor and repaired it myself with YouTube videos. Terrible customer service and repair men have very little knowledge. 5 weeks later the unit has now leaked so bad that its destroyed my neighbors ceiling. I have not have any issues with leaking until Jake's touched my unit.
