Recommended Customer Reviews
Leaving a review strictly from the communication, bid and personality perspective. We chose a different company to do our sewer fix project. We worked with Brandon Zimmerman thru the inspection and bid process. He was prompt, clean, courteous and knowledgeable. We'd consider them again for any further work that may come about with our home.
These guys did some major sewer work for me this past week, a $9000 job. The price was competitive with other quotes I got. I went with Jafco because Dwayne was very aggressive with his follow up. Because of this, I felt they really wanted the work, more than the other contractors I spoke with, and they would get it done quickly. They did do the work remarkably quickly, starting within 2 days of my deposit, and finishing within a week. Dwayne always returned calls within an hour or two and I appreciated that. The work seems perfect as far as I can tell - toilets flush like they should now. Totally satisfied.
Archit B.Giving 2 stars since one of the jobs was completed but the other job which was part of the package wasn't completed. The person sent for the repair took 4-5 hours to complete the PRV replacement job which our neighbors mentioned was generally completed within 1 hour in most of their houses by other companies (for offered or less cost) and then the other job of flush replacement which was aligned as part of the package wasn't completed citing the number of hours spent on PRV replacement (we were charged 100 dollars extra as well).
Kim F.We had to replace about 20 feet of our sewer line that was under our driveway in Northwest Seattle. We had 3 different bids and Jafco's was the most competitive. I interacted primarily with Dewayne who did a nice job proactively keeping us updated on progress. His crew had to dig out our cement driveway and did this quickly and the clean up was done so well it was not detectable. They even put a bit of grass seed on the area they were using in case they impacted the grass (which they didn't)! Very professional, quick, courteous and fairly priced. Definitely will use them again.
I explicitly told this work is about fixing/resetting kitchen undermount sink under the countertop/quartz and provided pictures at the time of schedule.
When a plumber came to my house, he didn't even know this is the case and refuse to work. It's okay since he honestly responded. However, I wasted my past two days waiting for this appointment.
The thing is the scheduler (Andrew) didn't seem to communicate this info to the plumber. Then I wonder why he asked me all the details including pictures in the beginning.
Very happy with the work. Had a 100 year old sewer line completely clog. Work consisted of an initial survey/attempt to rooter it out. The clog/collapse could not be cleared, but the video survey allowed Jafco to figure out where it was. They excavated and replaced a 5 foot section of the line where it had collapsed. they then surveyed with the video system, and found that the rest of this line (another 10 feet in total) was cracked on the bottom and needed attention. They relined this additional 10 feet. Warrantied for 25 years, with the liner having a manufacturer's warranty for 40 years.
So the work was:
Initial survey and clearing attemp
Excavation and replacement of 5' of 100 year old concrete sewer pipe.
Relining of 10' of 100 year old concrete sewer pipe.
Quality of work was excellent, and coordination was easy.
Price was higher than I'd like, but typical of other bids (a little lower than some of their competitors). Total cost: $8100 before tax for 15' of line replacement or relining (5' replace, 10' reline).
For planning, if you find yourself in similar circumstances in Seattle, plan on a cost of something like $500 per foot (that's a little less than the $8100 divided by the 15' of repair). This cost per foot would go down some for longer runs, but will never get near the low costs per foot you see on plumbing companies' websites, which don't include costs of digging the holes, etc.
Very happy with Jafco Sewer. We needed a sewer scope as well as three outside drains hydro jetted to clear years of debris. All work was done in a professional manner and I am very happy with the result.
I highly recommend Jafco Sewer.
Izzy R.Excellent service! They were the only company to reply to my inquiry after 5 PM & also provide an estimate over the phone. Most companies want you to schedule a tech to come over and provide an estimate which I don't find time or cost-effective. Ronnie came today to fix the clogged toilet. He was professional, courteous, & efficient. Will definitely rehire for future needs & recommend to friends.
I've had the misfortune to need plumbing services multiple times. Seattle concrete sewer lines are definitely problematic.
They've been out, took care of the emergency clearing flooding my basement apartment. They had a hard time clearing root balls, but didn't give up requiring it to be dug out.
They did the clearing, came back with multiple option for the long term. It's not cheap, and I'll compare prices, but their quality of work and people have been primo.
Sewer lines are not something to mess with. I was impressed with Josh for estimating and Ron for the learning.
Following our second sewer back-up in 2 years, we realized the need to finally arrange for some form of expensive, but permanent pipe-lining for our 95 year old clay system. After interviews with several contractors, we chose Jafco Sewer and could not have been more pleased. Although Jafco was not the lowest bidder, Josh Lemory, their manager on the project, exhibited superior knowledge and significant experience. In particular, his approach was the most comprehensive of all the bids, and he provided us with clear explanations. Further, each of their employees, who worked diligently and effectively under cold and damp conditions, were unfailingly pleasant. It is difficult to imagine such disruptive activities as pipe bursting and CIPP lining proceeding smoothly, but they actually did. The bottom line is that we were extremely pleased with their work and are happy to recommend Jafco Sewer enthusiastically and without reservation.
