We were experiencing a problem with our plumbing today. Our regular plumber is closed Friday-Sunday so tried several others. Finally ran across Jafco, but was informed they don't service our area. Spoke with Garrett who had me describe the problem. His suggestion was to contact our water district as it sounded like there had been a recent flushing done or other water district issue going on. I took his advice and that was indeed the problem. Thanks to Garrett I didn't waste any more time searching for a plumber or paying the cost of an emergency house call. Garrett was not only helpful, he was polite and very professional.

I needed a shut-off valve from underneath the sink to a dishwasher replaced. The company arrived on time and called me to give me the estimate for the work. Perhaps an hour of work, but with potential complications that meant some drywall removal and a couple of 90-degree bends. Still, the work took perhaps an hour and the parts can't have been more than fifty bucks so even with a thirty percent markup on parts a bill of eight hundred dollars is outrageous. I'll give three stars since the work appears to have been done right, on-time, and I did agree to the estimate (though I expected the final cost to be lower if the work didn't take several hours to complete, which it didn't.)

Jafco's team was very responsive and polite when scheduling. We were able to have someone come out within a day, which was crucial for a shower issue. Their staff worked quickly to resolve a shower leak and replaced pipes for us, all within three hours.

Woke up this morning to discover I had no hot water. These guys were great. I called them at 9:50 AM and had my new water heater Installation completed by 1 PM. Installer even had to rush back to their supplier to get a different size water heater which saved me over $2000 Re- plumbing. The installer was super personable and informative and respectful while on site. Everything went very smoothly. I highly recommend Jafco plumbing and sewer!

They worked around my schedule and took the time to explain the work before and after the job. I'm happy with my experience and will reach out to them for future plumbing needs.

Our kitchen sink was backed up and Graydon came to the rescue. He was professional and told us what we needed to do to prevent future backups. He was in and out in less than an hour. We are very satisfied his honest service. Thank you for being awesome!

This is mixed review. After finding that our sewer line was clogged (backup overflow in a shower and under a toilet) I called Jafco. They were very courteous and responded within a couple of hours just like the other reviews mentioned

Two young men proceeded to work on the clog and after a few hours, they started to wrap up. I asked one of them if they got it cleared and he said no, but the other person would explain.

I was first asked to go over the invoice and pay $548. He wouldn't explain what they found or what other work was needed until the invoice was paid.

After paying, he then went on to explain that the problem is most likely due to a root growing through the sewer line and that a sewer line replacement was needed. I asked if they ran a camera down to confirm and he said that they ran their cable as far as it goes and couldn't actually get to the clog.

I told them I would get back to them since the quote was for $8,500 plus tax. On the upside, they offered to get the excavator and other equipment out within hours or the next morning at the latest.

It seemed that a second opinion was in order, so I contacted another company, Conan's Drain Cleaning, LLC. Conan agreed to come right over since he was close by, even though it was now nearly dinner time.

Conan was very familiar with the sewer system in Lakewood. He got up on our roof and ran a jet down the vent pipe and cleared the blockage within minutes.

Even though we didn't have a sewer drain cleanout, he knew there should be one and even knew where to look. After running a locator bar in to the ground a few times, he found it. There will now be a easily locatable clean-out fr now on.

Since we're selling the house in a few months, we are having Conan come back to do a formal sewer line inspection and to make sure that line still look clear all the way down.

So, Jafco gets:
-5 stars for courteous and prompt response.
-2 stars for performance since they didn't solve the problem
-2 stars for business practice since they would not disclose their proposal until I paid for their unsuccessful work.

If you have them do work and they present you with a large quote like this, get a second opinion. Yes, I had to pay twice for the drain cleaning and if I had called Conan first, I would have saved $548.

I prefer performance-based fees. Since they were unable to solve the problem, they didn't earn that fee in my opinion.

Had a backed up sewer system and have had problems for many many years. They were at my house within 2 hours. After sending a camera down my lines we noticed that my lines were starting to collapse. I received a quote for pipe bursting. Though this is something no one wants to pay for they make it easy. They do offer zero interest loan for 18 months just to get you going. The crew was very friendly and Mitch was great to work with throughout the process. Within 5 days of having problems I had a brand new line installed and my yard looks like it did before after they cleaned up.

Additional review. After the initial mysterious disappearance of my service tech (turns out his wife was in labor), and my previous review, Jafco reached out and promptly rescheduled my estimate. They completed the work quickly and well and even came back to hook up my appliances after they were delivered to make sure everything was functioning properly.

They seemed to be competitively priced. They did a great job, finished on time and showed up when they said they would. Everything passed city inspection first time. I would recommend them!
