Ryan F.I've had Jack Ward & Sons replaced an outdoor spigot, diagnosed why the pipes in my house were shaking, and service the water heater. The plumbers are always very polite and don't seem to mind that I follow them around and ask a lot of questions.
Every time I've call an appointment has been set up for that day or the next. Their prices seem very reasonable, and they get work done quickly. When the pipes inside my house were shaking they quickly determined it was a Metro Water Issue and only charged me for the service call fee.
Thanks for your help Jack Ward & Sons!
Sonya T.I received a call this morning from the very nice customer service lady. She was following up on my kitchen faucet. She explained they had located the part & we confirmed return date. After further consideration, I decided to stop the process. I was going to be charged for the part. I'm going to consider purchasing new faucet. Now, I'm okay with their customer service and overall experience. I've revised to three star rating. Thank you for time and attention.
Camille C.Buddy came by to install a valve behind my refrigerator this morning. He was super friendly and did a great job! The price seemed fair for the job and I would definitely use this company again. Thanks, Buddy!
Chris H.I use Jack Ward Plumbing for our commercial needs. They are very timely and professional. They are also very competitive in their pricing. Also Jack Ward Plumbing services all of middle Tennessee. The greatest thing about them is that they stay until the job is complete and done right. I highly recommend them for any of your plumbing needs, small or large.
Vic W.Good work, personable and affordable. Hired to install a new hybrid-electric hot water heater after the old unit rusted out. Their shop was prompt to have Jeff come out to give me a quote a few hours after I called. Cool dude, he knew what materials were necessary, how much labor would be right away to give a quote. Most importantly, he recommended I purchase the new water heater on my own to save me his mark-up...pretty upstanding thing to do. Thus I was able to take advantage of a sale at the store, saving me hundreds off its regular price. The Ward quote was much more affordable than the other plumbers, who came in with quotes hundreds and thousands higher. The install was quick, they plumbed the drip pan, re-routed and re-soldered the pipes just as we had discussed and got it up and running in no time. They hauled away the old heater and the cardboard packaging from the new one. Nice guys, will definitely call again and I would highly recommend.
I have never in my life encountered a worse-run, less accountable, more financially untrustworthy plumbing business and I urge everyone to avoid this business!
We first used Jack Ward & Sons (JW&S) when we moved to East Nashville. The owner was nice, gave us a good deal, and worked with us to fix a complex problem as simply as possible. So we stayed with them as loyal customers.
Then the ownership changed hands, and our experience changed dramatically. We had a recurring problem while we were out of the country, renting out our house. JW&S came repeatedly to ream the sewer line. The first time, they reamed it through the toilet, messing up the bathroom, even though they themselves had installed two separate clean-outs in the backyard. As the problem persisted, they repeatedly snaked the drain pipe, but were telling us that the entire sewer line needed to be replaced, which would have involved jackhammering up our cement carport and costing us thousands upon thousands of dollars. But after three or four reamings, the blockage was removed and the costly, laborious work turned out to be unnecessary. Imagine where we would be and what we would have paid if we have trusted them!
We repeatedly -- REPEATEDLY -- asked for the evidence of their diagnosis that that sewer line needed replacing. They claimed to have images from a snake with a camera on the end. They kept saying they would send us the images. They never did.
When we returned from abroad, my husband went to the JW&S office with a blank check and said we wanted to clear our bill with them. The whole situation had been very frustrating and we just wanted to pay them and be done with it. We had received a bill for over $500, so went expecting to pay that amount. But the woman at the reception desk said the total was a hundred dollars more than that. My husband paid it and we assumed we were done with them.
I then called and asked them to send me a copy of every bill for every service they had performed while we were abroad so that I could figure out the strange accounting error. The new owner was conciliatory on the phone and promised to send the bills. They never came. I was concerned about where the extra one hundred dollars came from, but decided to let it slide, just for the sake of being done with it.
Then, three months later, I got another bill from JW&S for $175! This was well after we had gone to their office with a blank check and said we wanted to clear all accounts with them, which was weeks after their last ""service!"" I went down to the office to demand an accounting. They claimed ""computer difficulties,"" at first, but I waited. Then on a different computer, they pulled up my file, but couldn't find a complete accounting. They did find the bill that was marked unpaid for $175, but by now I had no trust in them or their accounting. The owner started leafing through original work reports and said it was all there, but by now was becoming belligerent (as was I).
Finally, I told them that they should credit me the $175 since it was their mistake. They refused, saying that it was my fault for leaving the country! I agreed to pay them (which I highly regret) but promised that I would make this story known to the general public. In total, we seem to have paid them over $1,000 for running a snake down the sewer pipe three times.
Kate O.Called with a fairly minor issue; they sent someone right out. Both the dispatcher and the plumber were polite and friendly. The plumber showed me everything he was doing in case I needed to do it again myself. The only reason I'm not rating them five stars is that for a very basic service call that took about half an hour to fulfill, their rate struck me as pricey. But otherwise they were great to work with.
Morey K.Fast response and excellent service! I'll be calling them for any future plumbing needs.
Be careful of this company. They came out and provided an estimate. I authorized the work, 2 months after, the problem still occurs. I called and told them about it. They came out again and charge me for the same drainage problem. I did not authorized for them to fix the toilet (my tenant) unit, but they when ahead and fix it without my authorization. They charge $10 for the parts and $175 for the 1 hour labor. Later, I found out the toilet is not fix. I am having Metro investigating on these people. It's so rediculous. I have file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Please think twice before using this company.
David O.Thank you Jack Ward & Sons for answering the phone when no one else would!
They showed up within 10 minutes of calling and were done very quickly. After 2 hours of fooling with a toilet it was totally worth it to get the job done quickly and easily.
If I have any future plumbing problems, Jack Ward & Sons will be my first call.
