I needed help installing a large ceiling fan that needed to be hardwired. Jack Of All Trades came out on time the set up and clean up was nice and neat and the fan works fabulous. I would recommend them to anyone and I will definitely be calling them again. I thank them for helping with an otherwise impossible job.

Jim (Jack of All Trades) no-showed our first appt to bid the work, but got back to me the next day and we rescheduled. He bid the work and we scheduled at start date and a start time, confirmed with Dan. No one came to do the work. When I said that I would charge them at their hourly rate for my wasted time, they tried to make it a calendar mistake. It wasn't. I did not schedule the work to begin at 10:30, I scheduled to it begin at 8:30, because I had work obligations. Unreliable.

0 stars. Jim Beltran is neat, bills promptly. Other than that, he is defensive about customer complaints (his mistakes), talks himself up the whole time you are explaining repairs needed to him, and sets his own agenda regardless of your priorities. Would not recommend him.

I hired Jack of all Trades from a recommendation. I was very happy of his job. Very friendly, professional and reasonably priced.

Unprofessional. Left job unfinished. I hired ""Jack"" to re-tile my shower and install a new shower head/ handle. The worker was not adequately trained nor supervised. The job took four weeks instead of the promised two weeks. My shower was left in-complete. There is no hot water coming out the shower head. And I had to clean up a huge mess of buckets half filled with grout and cement. When I called the owner to correct the situation, he cut me off mid-conversation because ""his girlfriend was calling"". Amateur work at a high prices. Avoid Jack of All Trades.

I almost never leave bad reviews, but after having found some truly gifted and professional handymen in the Santa Barbara area, I'd have to say that our experience with ""Jack of All Trades"" was really dissapointing. We booked him for a job that we thought was straightfoward, but was clearly out of his skill set. Luckily, we found an incredible cabinet maker to come in and fix the mistakes and finish the job in 1/5 the time and 1/2 of the cost. Lesson learned.

AFTER 5 WEEKS:
The dam guy never showed - I sent the range hood back to Loews - AFTER 40 DAYS

Jim (the owner) was prompt in getting help out to me immediately (on July 4th, no less!). The work was done well and even inspected (no charge) after a few days to make sure everything held up with no leaks (plumbing). I highly recommend Jack of all Trades.

I called Jim late in the evening on Monday night. He answered my call and let me know one of his guys would contact me the next morning. In one word: WOW!!!
Brett, came over and just inspected the HECK outta my rodent proofing tasks. Brett took the time to listen to the issues I was having and then did the most through inspection. Attic, dryer, vents, access panels, under decking, on top of the roof and then in laymans terms explained what his recommendations were. He drove to ACE and collected necessary items to wrap up the rodent proofing of my home in time for the vent and pest control guys to do their jobs. He was SO polite and friendly. I cannot say enough about this guy. I was really and truly just blown away.
Thank you Jim and Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Brett!

No show on the day we agreed and didn't contact us. My husband took some time off from work that day, and it was a waste. We requested that he would call us before he started working the next day, but instead he entered our house without contracting us and started working while we were at work. Quality of the work was poor. We had to spend extra four hours painting and retouching after we paid him. The welding of the wrought iron is very poorly executed, the screwing of the bolts are not flush against the walls, and dry walling is bumpy. Plus, they left the place without picking up after themselves (i.e. used cups, sharp materials, paint drops on floor, etc.) He wasn't very receptive when we asked them to redo some things. Plus, everything that was on the list of things to fix did not get completed because he was not good at communicating with us. We do not recommend using them nor will we ever use them again.
