Sent them an email asking for a quote. I indicated no others I had contacted had replied so I hoped they did. They did, saying they were booked up ""for the next several weeks"" and asked when I wanted the work done. I said in 1-2 months. They said good. We went back and forth trying to get someone to come out to look at the job which I had budgeted about $10k for. Not a huge job, but not small peanuts either. Over 2 weeks went buy with no success of nailing down someone to come out, when I get an email out of the blue saying they're too busy to take on new projects. Huh?! They claimed they told me there was a chance they would not be able to do the work. Really? I have the entire email chain and NOWHERE was I ever warned they might not be able to take on the job. Their initial response was my 1-2 month time frame was okay and nothing to the contrary was ever said until that email saying they were too busy. So here I am after 2 weeks back exactly where I started. They apologized, which is fine for them, but it doesn't help me. This shows a lack of respect and empathy and is pretty bad service. If they were in my shoes they'd be pretty p.o.'d, too, but they're plumbers so they'll never have this problem.
