Do not work with this company. Jack Berleth & Sons did work on gas line leaks prior to my family moving into our new home in 2020. After their work on the gas line, our hot water heater had a broken apparatus resulting from their work on the gas line, which they confirmed to me. They were unable to replace the apparatus prior to us moving in so they offered to install an entirely new water heater since mine was covered by warranty. After the new water heater installation, I got sent a large bill for the labor installing the new water heater, even though they caused themselves the additional work as a result of breaking the apparatus.
I called Jack Berleth and negotiated to pay half of what they were charging me because they caused themselves the additional labor and significantly increased the total cost of the work I needed done due to their breaking the apparatus. I spoke to the owner personally, said he understood my frustration and he said ""pay what you think is fair"", so I paid half.
Fast forward a year, they refused to come to my house in an emergency today when my burner broke down, because ""I didnt pay my full bill"" in 2020. Definitely within their right to refuse me service, but I'm leaving this review so people can see how they operate as a business.

Jack Berleth Plumbing has always been there for the list of plumbing issues we've had. I've been using them for many years. They are professional, safe, clean and fair. Today they serviced the mixer valve in my shower and again were a wonderful solution to my problem. I can always trust Berleth to solve anything and be pleasant along the way! I highly recommend.

We recently had Jack Berleth and Sons remove our 65yr old heating and hot water boiler system and replace it with a new Peerless boiler and Becket burner. Additionally, a 50 gallon indirect water heater was installed to ensure that we will always have hot water. It was a big, dirty job to remove the old commercial grade combination boiler/heater that weighed more 3,000#, but Steve, Paul and their assistants were able to get this done and left the house cleaner than when they arrived. All floors and stairs were covered with drop cloths and everyone wore shoe covers, as well as face masks. Installation of the new system happened during a power outage, but Jack Berleth and Sons had their own portable generator to guarantee that the job was done on time. Our entire 4-zone heating system was connected to the new boiler with all new copper lines, valves and circulating pumps. For such a large, important home improvement we are very glad that we chose Jack Berleth & Sons. Their price was competitive with others, the job was completed on time, the basement/house was left cleaner than before, and the improved efficiency of the new system is outstanding. We highly recommend them to anyone requiring a home heating system replacement/upgrade.

These guys are not only great plumbers- they are great people and we have trusted them for multiple projects. Their work is impeccable and every single person we encounter - each and every time- has been courteous, professional and overall a pleasure to deal with.

It is often hard to gauge how 'trustworthy' someone is- we often assume people can be trusted but never have real experiences to back up our assumptions. When Jack Berleth & Sons worked on our first project (master bath plumbing) - my husband and I could not be home on one particular day. We got a good vibe from the guys initially and felt it would be ok for them to work while we were not home for a few hours. We also have a dog at home and have a Nest camera set up to check on him throughout the day. The camera is set to not record UNLESS our Nest smoke alarms go off- unique feature so you can watch your house burn down??-- Anyway. The day they were working the smoke alarm went off - presumably from the soldering, etc. I receive a notification on my phone that this is the case and check the Nest camera. My dog is freaking out and barking- he's locked in the kitchen and so upset. All of a sudden I see one of the guys race down the stairs and start comforting my dog. I heard him say 'its ok buddy, its ok', and watched for a few seconds. I was so touched and felt so grateful- not only did he check on him, but taking a moment to talk to him, pet him and give him comfort brought tears to my eyes. I know this has nothing to do with plumbing...and may sound a little dramatic-- but these are the type of people who we want in our home, around our family and pets! To our family, this is priceless and it is the reason we will only use Jack Berleth & Sons for all of our projects.

We just finished up a whole house renovation and again their work is second to none. I have needed them for a couple emergency things that happened along the way as well - each time they have been prompt to respond and fix the issues.

My family used Berleth starting from their earliest years. But from recent experience, I knew that Berleth had become overpriced as all giddy-up. Recently, I called around 7pm and there wasn't even an answering machine - they didn't even answer their phone!! The line was just a fast busy for hours, so I gave up. Berleth used to be the go-to plumber for my neighborhood, but they've gotten above their raisin', as the country song says. I have found someone who picks up the phone instead. Sad to say, but there it is.

Moved into home to take care of mom. Noticed water filter under kitchen sink, with a label from this company, installed back in 2017. Called to set up appointment so they can replace the filter. They never showed up.
Called again the following week, was told the previous appointment was not on the schedule. Made another appointment. Again, no show.
I have no idea how good their work is, because I can't get them to show up.

I had a boiler emergency (pressure relief valve failed and was spewing hot water out of the heating system onto basement floor) a few weekends ago and got in touch with Jack Berleth since they have the 24/7 emergency response hotline. Got a call back within the hour as promised and Eric showed up shortly thereafter. Eric was professional, personable, and took the time to discuss/educate me on the issues with the boiler - he did an excellent job and made sure everything was working 100% before departing. Weekend/emergency service pricing is higher but it was expected due to nature of the situation. The work included replacement of the pressure relief valve, pressure reducing valve, the expansion tank and a full bleed of the air within the baseboard heating system.

Lifesavers during two emergency situations back to back weeks after normal business hours (9-11 pm). Tom was knowledgeable and professional- even troubleshooting the problem via FaceTime to view my system so an in home visit wasn't necessary (some levers simply needed adjusting - no charge). Second time was one of the coldest nights of the year. He arrived in less than 15 minutes and fixed the boiler situation in an hour. Im now a loyal customer because this company and their staff are both reliable and trustworthy.

We were getting our house constructed and wanted to have new water pipes installed to which we contacted this company and requested them a quote. They estimated us a price that we found very reasonable and then we scheduled them for a date. At that exact time and date they were at our home installing the new pipe lines for us. We were very impressed by their hard work and dedication towards the work. 100% satisfied!!!
