Established in 1992, J&A Heating and Cooling started as a company focused on heating and cooling services. In 2003, we grew by merging with South Park Heating & Refrigeration. After merging both companies, we decided to incorporate plumbing and electrical services, which led to the formation of J&A South Park, LLC.

We had to use them because of our new home warranty (they assigned them to us, we didn't pick). They were great and the guy that helped us was super nice.

While it wasn't ideal to wait until 6pm without word on when or IF they were coming, once we got in touch with them about 4pm they said they were still coming. I wasn't even sure if they were still coming.

The guy that showed up was very nice and walked us through a really sumo fix with our AC. Apparently they had an older system that was hard to use, so it wasn't even necessarily an AC issue, but more the way the thermostat itself was functioning. He swapped out the thermostat and we were good to go!

Thankful they were assigned to us and it was a helpful experience.

Had J&A recently over to give us an estimate to replace a garbage disposal and limited connecting pipes from it. It was a job that I have done twice myself in the past, but couldn't do not due to a neck condition, and took me between 15-30 minutes to do. I even had the new garbage disposal and all the supplies here. The plumber looked at me and quoted me $300. I basically said no to their estimate, but inside believed that they were charging excessively and trying to gouge me. I can't speak of the quality of their work, as for $300, I refused to hire them

Well, my home warranty sent this to j&a 24 hours ago as a emergency repair. I have had water flooding my basement now for 24 hours I have called five times now to leave a message for their on call person. So far not even a callback. Their hours on their website state 7 days a week. If u have a emergency repair on a weekend, good luck, I am still waiting.

DO NOT USE!! They destroyed the yard and didn't even attempt to fix it! Left giant rocks everywhere with giant dirt holes and no top soil! They do horrible work. After weeks of trying to get a hold of the workers they still refuse to fix their bad work. I have lost patience. Do yourself a favor and find a different company.

I contracted J&A through my home warranty company to fix our air conditioning that was coming off and on intermittently When the technician showed up I explained this to him, and of course it was on at the time. He said that he checked our outside unit to make sure it was clear of debris etc. and he assured me that all looked good and left without doing much of anything. The next day the system was off again and wouldn't turn back on. I hired a different company to come out and they told me that the outside unit was full of grass/debris and needed cleaned in order to run properly. When I contacted J&A back to let them know that their technician had given me incorrect information that informed me that people get different qualities of service when you hire them directly and when you hire them through your warranty company. News to me, I thought all service was supposed to be good service? Just hoping no one else wastes their money as I did!

If I could leave zero stars I absolutely would. I recently received an email from J&A South Park about getting their ""premium services"" package. After gettin a good laugh at the thought they understand what good or even premium service is, and how such a thing is such a rip off from a company like J&A. I was reminded - I never did a review of our awful experience we had with them in January.

In January, our furnace broke. And how our furnace works (we live in a condo), it somehow used the heat produced from water in the hot water tank to heat our home. Well that pipe that held hot water that then heated our home broke, so on top of no heat during a very cold January, we had no water. We had our home warranty, but after another company never informed us the status of our furnace after their initial visit, our warranty company called J&A. We were told we would have someone out soon. And this is the point where you cue the Spongebob-esque ""six hour later narrator. Only six turned into twelve, which turned into forty eight, which turned into we gave up on J&A South Park. I called probably five to six times at least over those two days, and even the operators they had answering their phones felt pitty for us. They kept sending pages to whoever was on call, saying to please call, and we never heard a thing.

Needless to say, while waiting to hear from J&A we were working with our warranty company to get someone else here, but J&A actually never contacted us apologizing for initially saying ""we will call her soon"" and then flat out NEVER calling us.

We did get our furnace fixed, but it was by an incredible company. Long story short. DO NOT USE J&A SOUTH PARK. I hope I accurately conveyed with this review how unpleasant our experience was with them. And I just found it amusing that you apparently need to pay $18.95 or whatever a month to get ""priority service."" Which is probably just ""decent"" service since their regular service was nonexistent for us.

DON'T TRUST - Tried to pressure me into an unnecessary $13,000 job over text!

They were sent out by American Home Shield to unclog a sewer drain on a Wednesday and on that Friday they had to come out again because they didn't fix the problem the first time.

The second time the plumber from J&A went out, he made another weak attempt with a snake then said he'd call me in an hour... 4 hours later he texts (doesn't call) describing a $13,000 excavation job that needs done ASAP. He texts a few more times, doesn't offer to write up anything...

I had to call another plumber to come out and he was able to unclog the stoppage for less than what I paid for the service fee for American Home Shield.

Definitely wouldn't trust J & A South Park with anything after the stunt they tried to pull.

Giving them four stars for effort. Had a brand new (Trane) furnace installed less than five years ago by this Company, they have been back to my home 6 times to attempt to fix this piece of equipment. I would never buy a Trane furnace again. There is no good explanation why a brand new furnace has to be repaired SIX times. By the way, still not functioning correctly today. Takes three attempts at starting before it kicks on. Just disgusted. Trane should be ashamed of this product! Saving money for another new furnace and it will be a better product.

Bought a new furnace from them. It went extremely smoothly.

The furnace manufacturer offered financing. The enrollment process was easy.

The appointment scheduling was great.

The install was extremely professional. They took their time investigating / planning / explaining first. Then they explained the new furnace and changes to the HVAC once they install it.They cleaned up after themselves better than I'd expected.

I received a call a few days later to check up and make sure everything was working properly.

DO NOT USE THEM EVER. Very money hungry. They charge $99 just to visit. Then the repair bill is outrageous. I had a furnace drum wheel (fan) broken. Cost of part $47.50. I estimate it will take a person 1-2hrs to fix it. J&A estimated bill was $451.00! They are charging $250/hr labor. That's more than a rocket scientist makes.
