Really appreciate Jonny coming at short notice on a Friday afternoon when big name chains w/ coupons kept telling me they were short-staffed.
One of the long legacy outdoor irrigation faucets got accidentally knocked over by our guard dog's long tie-out, causing a gusher that thankfully got stopped when we shut off the water to the entire house.
Jonny himself has grown up in this area all his life and knew that for roughly the same $250 project price (inclusive of his skilled labor, parts, him driving round-trip to Home Depot for anything else needed, etc), we could either cap that faucet off or just have a newer shorter faucet staked closer to the ground & sealed off by that legacy cement tube we have - but still just high enough in case we needed to hose down anything, may it be our cars, nearby ornamental plants, or a random lightning strike fire.

If it weren't for J&A Handyman Services' hands-on owner Jonny coming to help, we would never have been able to turn the water back on because we would have been on edge about the aged outdoor faucet again turning into a knocked-off geyser!

My pet guard dog's strong tie-out accidentally knocked over an ancient 1950s/1960s-era outdoor faucet and put a gusher onto the front yard, so a neighbor had to get a tool to shut off the water to the entire property until we can seal off that broken faucet area.
Unfortunately, big name/heavily advertised w/ coupons chains kept on telling me how short-staffed they were, so I went on Craigslist Small Biz Ads to find a local handyman/contractor who is familiar w/ old outdoor irrigation systems to either cap off that faucet or shorten the faucet enough so it never gets knocked over.
Fortunately Jonathan ""Jonny"" Gang, the hands-on owner of Escondido's J&A Handyman Services (https://jandahandymanservicesca.com) came as soon as he could on a Friday afternoon and worked through the early evening (even going to Home Depot to get compatible, updated parts, etc.) and got the job done for a fair price inclusive of parts & his skilled labor (all told, only $250 payable by cash, Venmo, or Zelle).
Properties in my rural area generally have a lot of legacy pipes, sprinklers, plumbing fixtures, etc. that not every handyman or contractor may know what to do with them.
Thankfully Jonny grew up all his life around here and is can ve counted on to find cost-effective, long-term solutions.
Long live local businesses and many thanks again to J&A Handyman Services of Escondido, CA fot the timely help so we can access running water without risking another legacy outdoor faucet mishap!*

Needed concrete repair done on my home walkway because of blown water leak. The two guys came out the next day and brought the materials and proper tools to remedy the task. Jonathan came out and knocked out a fairly large difficult project. Our far end warehouse bathroom and been shuttered for a couple years, due to roots in the sewer line, we recently replaced the sewer line, so we were ready to rebuild the bathroom. Jonathan, replaced all the angle valves, water lines, installed a toilet, a sink and cabinet as well as wall panels, all in one day. He works hard and does good work. I will use him again, down the road if needed.
