Recommended Customer Reviews

Had a pipe spring a leak in the middle of the day and they were able to come out and replace it. Very appreciative that they were able to accommodate me on such short notice. Not to mention friendly and the price was fair.

Mike and his team did a GREAT job for us moving our washer downstairs, running new pipe for the connection, and correcting the water line that ran from our water heater. They did the job in a day, the price was lower than we expected, and they even set up our dryer exhaust hose as an added bonus. Great work and extremely professional. 10/10 would hire again.

We will never use any other plumber again! They are professional, punctual and reliable. In our previous home, we used them to replace a water heater, fix a leaky shower, diagnose and fix vibrating pipes in the crawl space, and in our current home they installed a water line for our fridge. Their prices are better than expected. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, including with babies and pets. They are the best.

I've been calling on J.W. Ayers for probably a decade now. Their plumbers really know their stuff. I live in an old house, so no job is ever quite standard. Everything requires a little custom problem-solving, but they always have a solution then think ahead to what problems they can head off before they happen. Yesterday, they installed a new dishwasher for me, a fairly basic job, but they took the time to notice that the new dishwasher had just a slightly wider door and would have been blocked from fully opening by the nearby freezer drawer. They did some quick carpentry work and now everything fits perfectly and flows just right. Another time, they came for what turned out to be a quick repair that took less than an hour. Since the work is billed by the hour, they looked around and found other small plumbing issues to address in the time remaining, likely saving me a couple future clogs. They're a great group of smart tradespeople, and I really appreciate their work.

Living in a condo often results in having to deal with water issues with surrounding neighbors. I was referred to JW Ayers by a good friend of mine and I am so grateful to have worked with an amazing company. The owner, John, was extremely helpful, kind, and most importantly honest. He went over and beyond to help me with a situation and did so with extreme professionalism. I would recommend this company to any good friend!

JW Ayers is our go-to plumbers for all our needs at our community pool. They have installed a new instant hot water heater to our bathhouse. Removed and upgraded 60 year old plumbing and fixed a valve in our pump room that failed. When we needed them they showed up with the right parts to complete the job on site. Highly recommended!

I recently read the response from John from the BBB complaint I filed in regards to this issue, John Stated the Following... """"The customer was billed on 12/4/14. On 1/31/15 after the invoice was almost 60 days old we sent out a past due notice. I was then sent an email telling me that I needed to seek payment from the homeowners association. I believe that we initially diagnosed the water heater problem correctly. I feel that we followed through as we said we would. The customer did not send us additional pictures as he stated he would. I just cannot write a letter stating that the drains were common when I didn't think that they were. As much as he wants to believe that the drain was backing up at the time of the water heater installation and then just quit for 76 days is highly improbable. He is just one of those people who wants something for free and is willing to go to almost any cost to get it. I feel like J.W.Ayers Plumbing has given the customer honest, excellent, and timely professional service at a fair and competitive price. And when I am asked to supply a letter to an association in order to receive payment for something that I don't believe to be it's responsibility, I do not appreciate it and will not do it. It is just not ethical and honest. There will be no refund."""" For starters, there was no confirmation from John, other than verbal, that the issue was the water heater. No video or photo evidence was submitted. I did sent John the additional pictures he requested, he was not satisfied with the picture and agreed to investigate further, which he did not. Without evidence that the water heater was in fact leaking, the only logical conclusion is the the hub drain was and has been leaking which gave the appearance that the water heater was at fault. Keep in mind that enough water leaked into the unit to damage all of the flooring in the unit over the course of several months. The issue continued after the water heater was replaced. I have always met my finical obligations in a timely fashion, but I also question shoddy workmanship. We called John to diagnose a problem, which was misdiagnosed, either by John himself or his representatives. Instead of owning up to his mistake he fabricated misinformation, and cast blame back on me. John agreed to investigate the Hub drain in the condo further, he did not. This inaction, to me, is as admission of if misconduct and or guilt. Johns company got $1000 out of us for a $250 hot water heater (that we paid in full in a timely fashion just like all the other times we worked with John), then another $450 to snake a drain. We paid the bill for the water heater in full in a timely fashion, but I am the one who is """"unethical"""" and """"dishonest."""" If you want to get ripped off then have your personal integrity questioned questioned when you ask questions about the work provided, then call John. Otherwise don't call J. W. Ayres. John is more concerned for his bottom line than he is with delivering quality and honesty.

JW Ayers recently installed a tankless water heater in our home. They were fast, efficient, and did it for a fabulous price. I would highly reccommend them for any of your plumbing needs. Loving my hot water!!!

Excellent service! Needed a backflow inspection, they responded immediately, scheduled it for a few days later, and showed up on time. I'll be using them again!

RIP OFF ARTISTS!!!!! DO NOT USE. Was told that first hour was $100 + $40 truck fee. After spending about an hour and ten minutes working to seal off a pipe I was presented with a $300+ bill including $210 in labor. Called the owner to tell him there was a mistake and he told me it was all my mistake. Technician said he wouldn't leave without being paid in full. I felt very uncomfortable and totally taken advantage of by this company. Is padding bills by $70+ any way to run a business???
