I've read all these reviews and some I can attest to and others I can understand why the anger however not everything is perfect timing. Jay from day one was very patient and understanding. Not the pushy type which is what we are grateful and the main reason why we choose him ultimately. He was nice enough initially to explain the installing process of tankless water heater vs traditional tank heaters along with the pros and cons. Ultimately for our purposes we decided to go tank.

Now going back to the perfect timing aspect of things. Jay and I went to home depot to pick up a water heater and boy is that place a mess. It's the reason why anyone could get lost trying to find the right parts rummaging through the fittings for the right size because everything is so unorganized. Even trying to hail a forklift person to help us get our water heater took 25 minutes +. Over all, we were there for well over an hour getting parts and checking out. While checking out the fittings and parts were so poorly tagged, it took another 20+ minutes trying to identify the parts so they can correctly ring up the item...... So give Jay a break, he can't control ever aspect of a situation. He will definitely make the best of a worse case scenario.

Jay spent the next 4 hours making sure everything was exceptional and answered all our questions which we had many for him. It's hard to find someone as patient and honest like Jay. We will definitely be going back to him again for our plumbing needs!

Bumped into J at Lowe's while looking for parts and a water heater to be replaced. He is a friendly person who suggested the right things to buy to meet city codes. I asked him if he can take over the installation and he came right away and got the job done clean. After this, though it was already late, he fixed a clog in the bathroom also. He is a friendly person and his price is right. Will highly recommend him for getting plumbing done right.

The first trip to my house for a water heater losing hot water, he was great. Attentive, timely, and fixed the issue with a 90 day guarantee, flexible with how far we live and driving in traffic to get to us at odd hours. So I have a 5 star review because he even texted me a few days later to check in. What service!


Come a few days later and we message him saying our water heater is still losing hot water. He asks if he came come out one day, but then, after husband arranged to come home early from work that day to be home, he doesn't show up, with no message but I think 3 says later saying he had car issues. Im thinking ok, that sucks but I understand.
Flash forward to last week. I take the day off and arrange for him to come back around 9 because he wants to avoid traffic (i get Morgan hill is far, but he came highly recommended by my realtor). This I understand and am fine with it.

10:00 day of roles around nothing. I message him and he says between 11&12 because his last job ran long. I'm thinking ok, sure.

1:45 roles around and I ask where he is and get NO RESPONSE. It's been a week and no response.

I'm a pretty understanding person. Life happens. But accountability is important in businesses and we didn't experience it with this plumber.

Yes, I paid a decent price but the issue didn't get fixed and there was no reliability with returns to fix it despite promises his work was guaranteed to 90 days.

Please note I'm writing this after another cold shower after a long, hard day at work, in case you were wondering how things were going.

Spent 2 hours with J to unclog and clean out a laundry sink. Excellent service and professionalism. Spotted and changed out a corroded trap pipe, was expecting to be charged extra but wasn't. With a month of workmanship guarantee, definitely gives you a peace of mind that it would be a job well done!

I had a water leak at the box on a Saturday and called plumbers frantically to come out. Another plumber came out and said I had to replace whole line ($3,800). Jay investigated the issue at no cost to provide an estimate. He said it was just a small break and replace it for $400. Jay is a great plumber who is totally fair and honest.

Jay came to my mom's house to fix a water heater. She's really picky about cleanliness and Jay was accommodating of that. He also explained the exact issue and fixed it promptly. It's been working great ever since. Can't ask for more than a nice, straight-forward guy who does good work when it comes to maintenance issues. So many other convoluted and shady tradesmen but Jay isn't one of'em.

If you're looking for an honest, experienced plumber, and one at a reasonable price, then look no further cause J the Plumber and Team have it all.

I hired J the Plumber to replace my brokeged water heater with a new one. Before installing a new one that I had bought, he tried his best to see if he could revive the old one with some minor adjustments/cleaning. However, due to the age of my unit, it's time was up.

I consider myself very fortunate to have found J and his team. He made sure everything was up to code and offered many useful maintenance tips/suggestions along the way.

I highly recommend J the plumber for any general plumbing services.

Jay is extremely good at what he does. He did an amazing job fixing our broken sink garbage disposal which made the process a pleasant one. I highly recommend Jay as am sure once you connect with him, you will share the same experience.

I find J to be a great plumber. The first time I used him was in Oct 2017 for a cracked drain pipe. I've lived in this house for over 30 years and I'd never used a plumber before as I'm mostly a DIY type of person, but this cracked pipe was right where the pipe met the foundation so it was more than this DIYer felt comfortable tackling. Before going with any company for any project I like to get 2 or 3 bids. In this case I got 2 bids: another plumbing company gave me a quote of $1200 minimum saying they'd have to bring in a saw to cut-up my stucco wall and some of the adjacent outdoor sidewalk to expose the crack and determine the extent of the crack. J said he'd fix it from under the sink for $450 - he fixed it the same day - GREAT SERVICE & GREAT PRICE!
Based on my first experience with J, I asked him to return in Dec 2017 to sweat a copper pipe for a bathroom shower - I had remodeled my bathroom and had sweated the copper elbow near the shower head, but obviously messed up as it leaked whenever someone took a shower. J came and was in and out in under an hour ... and at a good price.
I just used J again today, 4/26/2019, for a clogged drain pipe. While J fed a snake through a ""clean-out"", I ran water down the sink. Since the pipe was clogged, the water was running out of the clean-out. But suddenly, the water stopped leaking out of the clean-out - this is the point when the snake broke through the clog and the water drained naturally. The snake had a meter on it which indicated that the clog was some 30 feet down the drain line. J finished in under an hour, and gave me a discount as I was a repeat customer.
I see someone else had a bad experience with J. I'm not disputing what that person experienced, but personally I find J to be an experienced plumber who offers reasonable rates, is easy going, polite, and is willing to explain the what & why of how he intends to fix a problem. I have no problem with J and I will definitely use him again. J, thank you for being my plumber!

J, you are a fraud. Any postings on here that are favorable are a fraud also. Everything you touched was done wrong and had to be corrected. The toilet tank part you actually did put on correctly, however it wasn't adjusted properly so water flow didn't work. The actual plumber corrected this. The leaky hot water faucets in the upstairs bathrooms you advised you could fix, you couldn't so you cut my faucets off and made me buy new ones, which you told me you wouldn't charge me for since this was your issue. You are so stupid you threw away the stopper for the master faucet so I have to replace the faucets for a third time because of you. The shower valve was the cheapest piece of crap you could have gotten, the plumber yanked it out and put a decent new Delta set in (that he bought at plumbing supply- since he is a REAL plumber). You didn't seal anything, it all had to be sealed as it leaked. And you never said anything about the wall, you said it would look just like it was. The real plumber corrected the wall as well. You are a liar and stop posting lies. I did not give you a bad check, I stopped payment when I saw your work. I did end up giving you $500 cash, which if you return, we will not take you to court. The real plumber said you were the biggest idiot he has encountered. All work was redone, corrected, and was finished in 3 and a half hours. You were in my home 4 days, and scared me with your talk. Unless you return our $500, we will see you in court.

Let him in your house..I've had so many people message us to say the same thing. This idiot can't fix anything. CHECK THE PICTURES WE POSTED OF THIS IDIOT's WORK!! No one in their right mind would call this person, he needs to go work at Walmart or somewhere where he can't talk to people.
