We needed a plumber that could clear a clogged kitchen drain line, so we called ""R---er Hero"".
Their plumber showed up, snaked the drain and the line cleared of water. I requested a digital camera of the line. Second plumber showed up with the camera. Second plumber said we had major issues in the drain line, gave us an estimate of $4500 for repairs and said they could start tomorrow. Sounds like second plumber was the ""Profit Plumber"" for this company.
We declined and the line stayed clear for about a month.
We decided to get a second opinion and called J.T. Rodgers Plumbing. Their plumber, Mario, showed up on time and was friendly. We told Mario what the other Plumbing company told us and he said he would check for himself.
Mario used his digital camera and found a large amount of grease build up in the kitchen sink line. Mario used a hydro-jet snake to clean the entire kitchen sink line, which pushed the grease clog out to the city sewer line.
Mario told us that the other company simply pushed a hole through the grease clog and that it would clog again. He then showed us the clean line and a small low point in the line using the digital camera.
J.T. Rodgers gave us an estimate for the repairs to the low point in the line, which was half the price of the other Company.
I refer all my friends to J.T. Rodgers Plumbing Company if they want honest work and a fair price.

Needed a new faucet/handle installed on our tub. Plumber arrived on time, the handle replacement was tricky, he stuck with it and fixed the handle. So far so good.
He did not try to install the faucet as it was not a slip on type, he subsequently admitted he never measured the existing piping, he just assumed he would need to sweat on another pipe. I guess he was running out of time, he explained the situation and left.
The caulk job was slapped on and he left the tub/surround dirty.
Disappointing.

JT Rogers revamped two bathrooms for us including completely redoing plumbing and fixtures, adding a new tub and associated plumbing; removing an existing old cast iron tub and replacing with a new large cast iron tub (in a very tight bathroom); and arranging for demoing and installing new travertine shower surrounds and glass enclosures. The workmanship was excellent and everything looks wonderful and works perfect, all done per very reasonable bid.

Horrible experience with this company and their plumbing services ... everyone from the actual plumber and his work, the phone dispatcher and the mid level manager.
Each of these three people were unprofessional and threatened me verbally.
First off, the plumber was very unprofessional. He cleaned out my kitchen drain that was plugged up and filled my garbage can full of sludge from the kitchen drain. He did not dispose of it, did not clean out my kitchen garbage can and left the kitchen floor covered with black drain sludge. The plumber was ""in a hurry"" and left abruptly without finishing/cleaning up the job.
When I called the dispatcher, she assured me that he had cleaned up after himself (which I have a picture to prove otherwise) and they would not send the plumber back to clean up the mess the plumber left. I asked to talk to her mid level manager regarding this matter and it took 3 phone calls to finally get transferred to the mid level manager.
The mid level manager said she was not going to send the plumber back over b/c she had talked to the plumber herself and the plumber said that he had flushed the sludge down the toilet and cleaned up after himself (which was a lie).
This story goes on and on, it literally took up a half of my day.... my advice: Go with some other plumbing service.

When you call a plumber, you are in trouble, right? Inconvenienced, unhappy, and generally put out, true? So what do you hope for when the plumber you call comes to your house to fix your pipes? No fuss. Gets the job done. Charges a reasonable price. Cleans up afterward--well, the last one was just a fantasy--until now.
I called J.T. Rogers after another plumbing service came to our house to fix an ordinary hair clog and claimed the price would be $350. And that would come down to a mere $275 with their almighty $75 off coupon I'd received in the mail. Say what? $275 to run a plumber's snake down our drain, hook it up to a drill and twist and shout to yank the hair out? We said no to the high priced, highly advertised plumbers (they have the word ""Rooter"" in their name--you know the ones). And we said yes to J.T. Rogers on a whim.
In walks our J.T. Rogers plumber and he gets right to work. He's finished in less than one hour, asks for some cleaner, and cleans up after himself. The sink works great. It cost us a mere $85. And our bathroom is spotless. How great is that? J.T. Rogers proves that there are honest, hard-working, and yes, considerate plumbers out there. Forget the big guys with their big advertisements. Go with the good guys. J.T. Rogers gets the job done. Now if only the rest of life's problems were that easy to fix.
