Gary, determined and clearly explained why my whole house instant hot water heater couldn't accommodate a hot water circulating pump. He came up with an alternative mini hot water heater at my sink(s). I choose to have 3 installed. He gave me a quote, got the units and installed them the same day. It was painless, fast and a reasonable price for something I couldn't install myself. Very pleased with the solution and the plumber!

We live in Mt Pleasant. Our water heater wasn't, I changed out the upper & lower elements to no avail about evening of the second day. Got a couple of estimates from Lowe's & Home Depot CTR'S. Decided to check Yelp and found J. Stephenson Plumbing with great reviews. Called that same evening and got Jay himself. He sounded great, very knowledgeable and came out the very next morning, removed the old heater and professionally installed new water heater, new breaker box, expansion tank, all up to latest code in less than 3 hrs!!! We could not be more impressed and pleased with Jay's service and expertise. He's truly earned all of the rave reviews and we're happy to add to the list. We're having him back to install a new dishwasher we're getting soon! Stop looking for a plumber... He's your guy!! Like his father before him

These guys are great. We had an emergency, no one else could or wanted to come for 24-48 hours. Within 20 minutes of our call they arrived as they said they would. Polite, professional and knowlegable. Without hesitation, on a Friday night, they brought in the machinery to dog and fix the problem and not wait till next day. We will not forget their professionalism and care to help us when no one else seemed to have the time. Highly recommend them for any job, big or small.

We had a slow leak n an outside faucet, I had a call to J Stephens and they were out within hours and had it fixed. Great service by Brandon Coffey and his apprentice. Will be having them or to replace our water heater next!

Called on a Saturday and they came for a free estimate on Sunday. Turns out it was a ridiculously easy fix which took all of three minutes. He didn't bill me and was laughed instead of trying to get some money and pissed. 10000% recommend.

This is literally one of the best service calls I have ever had in any industry. These guys (James and Axel) were respectful to me and my property, knowledgable, eager to share their knowledge when I asked questions, and SHOWED UP when they said they would show up. They initially came on a Saturday to run a diagnostic, and J. Stephens (owner) even stopped by to check-in with them, which added a nice touch. They were not the cheapest, but after calling multiple plumbing companies and getting several quotes, they were definitely the best value when considering the expertise, commitment to get the job done timely and correctly, and their overall professionalism. I think their 10-year warranty speaks for the faith they have in their work. They worked like a well-established team, and that is something very refreshing to witness when in a distressed predicament regarding your property. They even put the tabby back down with care. I can't say enough great things about them, and I'm very happy to leave them 5 solid stars. If only other companies could just do a good job like these gentlemen. Great job y'all!

This is the type of company I really enjoy doing business with. I called late afternoon when our water heater failed. It was old and clearly needed replacing. They were at my door within 10 minutes of my call!! Granted, they had a crew nearby finishing up another job. Even more impressive, they fully installed a new heater with a hot water recirculator before dinner the same day! When I had a stupid question, they offered to come back - the same night. When I had another question, they responded after hours and offered to come back again during the weekend, no additional charge. Thankfully I figured out my stupidity so the service call was unnecessary. Honestly, this is the type of business I love working with, and I'm almost hesitant to give such a positive review because I like keeping these great companies to myself, but they were so awesome I'm willing to share. I just hope they keep treating me with the same level of urgency when I call. I'm sure they will for you!

I called J because my Rinnai RL75 wasn't generating hot water. Other plumbers booked me 3 days out but J showed up within 15 minutes, fixed my issue at no charge as long as I service it with him. 100% recommend him!
