Not plumbers at all! At the time, I had Landmark Home Warranty who sent J Star out 3 separate times. Never repaired my plumbing issue. Only suggested I pay out of pocket, $795.00 to put in a clean out valve. Finally, Landmark approved me to call a 'real' plumber who repaired. my problem first trip out and Landmark covered. Btw: I had 2 clean out valves, already. I Strongly recommend Against them. IF they're even still in busy.
The very reason I got a bad taste in my mouth for Home Warranty. Definitely did Not renew with Landmark, or purchase any home warranty.

They are so unprofessional. Don't even bother to try and make an effort on helping you at all. They are hire by American Home Shield Warranty which does not help either at all.

"I wish I could give zero stars" I see this phrase on reviews all the time.... I now know why people say it. I hope I never have the misfortune of dealing with this fly by night company again in my life. American home shield assigned them as my contractor... I have had success with the warranty company, until my phone call with J-STAR SERVICES INC. The woman that answered the phone was so absolutely rude I finally hung up on her. I was calling to set the appointment, she informed me I am outside their normal service area and they "will get to me when they get out that way..." I live in the country, I get it I am ok with a wait. I just wanted to know what day. She said they get calls on the weekend and would schedule me Monday after those calls come in. I then asked her just to be clear you won't even schedule me till next week? She asked me if I "really expected same day service on a home warranty account." At that point I quit asking questions because I knew no matter what she said I would not be using them as a company. I did not expect same day service but setting the appointment would have been nice. She made sure to tell me they were still within the time frames provided by the warranty company. I pulled the reviews for them, so many people with AHS warranty have had issues. I no longer felt like I could even trust having them in my home. I hung up with the rude woman and continued reading about the company.... they are not BBB approved and have even more bad reviews there. They are less than 3 stars on all platforms. I am glad I refused service and disengaged from rude woman on the phone. It sounds like she becomes really nasty if you disagree with her, it felt it was going in that direction. If you own this company or work there please work with the woman answering your phones. You won't have many clients if you keep her working there. If you are a home owner looking to them for repairs, I SAY Don't!!! Or at least be informed look at the reviews they are horrid beyond just scheduling.

There arrival window is always 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. They were supposed to be at my house on 9-3-2020, but never showed, never called, never emailed or texted. I sat at home all day and my time is valuable too. I tried to call and got their voicemail and left a message. The next morning I tried calling them again and no answer and left another message. Shortly thereafter I got a message from American Home Shield that my appointment had been rescheduled to Sept. 8. Now, all this time, water is pouring out from under my sink and all down my countertops. I called American Home Shield to complain and to get them to send someone else but they said that was their only contractor. I told the representative from American Home Shield that I had spoken to Moen and the problem was a bad O-ring. The representative from AHS said he spoke to the contractor and he told him the problem was more major than that. Now I had paid my $75.00 fee and he had been here twice for 5 minutes each and did not fix the problem. I now asked for my $75.00 fee to be returned but I think I can kiss that goodbye. I went out and bought an O-ring to fix the faucet myself and no more leaks. Do not call these people.

Not very impressed ... the receptionist is rude as could be ... their technicians not very knowledgeable... I had a new hot water heater installed and had to hire another Plummer to replace the piping to remove the black pipe

Unfortunately, I also can not leave a 0 star review for this company. I am in the customer service business and the professionalism and intergrity of both the Office Manager (Angie?) and the On-site Plumber are terrible. Fidelity Warranty Services dispached J Star Services to our rental house for a leaky faucet issue. The Plumber replaced 1 of 2 faucets with a different brand/model without consulting us and now the warranty company won't help us an further. Who gave them the authority to make decisions on our behalf..I own the house? Anyways, I have tried to reach out to them with several VM's over the last 2 weeks and no return calls. Today, I reached the Office Manager to get a correct model number on the faucet and when she looked up my file, she shouted over the phone and hung up on me. Hmm. Y'all do yourselves a favor, move on and try someone else... there's plenty of good and honest plumbers in the The Woodlands/Conroe area!

Made an appointment with them, and they never showed up. When I called to talk to them about it, the lady got really rude, stating that she sent me a cancellation, which she didn't. Very unprofessional, and will never try to use them again.

Guy came out fix the issue but did not tighten the toilet screws back, which is understandable we all make mistakes,
. However, I Spoke with someone in the office and she was completely rude. I called once again so my sister could speak to her since she stays at the property and she was still rude and hung up on us as we were trying to get clarification. Never again!!! I will be reporting to them to ge BBB.

If I could give a zero....it would be a zero. They are unprofessional and rude. Avoid this company. They lack communication skills and never showed up for the appointment. Did not reply to texts or emails. After waiting all day for them to arrive I receive a text stating they were rescheduling for the next day. I responded why and never got an answer. The following day I waited around again for a full day, their window of services is 9-6pm for both days. So I wait all day AGAIN and then call at 5:15 to find out what time they will arrive since the day is almost over and they didn't answer. So I log onto my home warranty website and the status says cancelled at 10:39am. No explanation, no messages, no calls just cancelled. If you use a home warranty company check on the vendors available before scheduling. The warranty company also reimburses for repairs made on your own. We will fix it ourselves. This company has many reviews with an overall 2*-3* reviews on Google, Angie's list and Yelp with many far worse complaints about overcharging and not wanting to provide documentation/receipts.

I called my home warranty company on Sunday for a non-emergency. J Star called Monday morning around 9:30 am and said they were on their way and would be here in about an hour and Bo was here when he said he would be. I told him I had a problem with the back of two toilets leaking and a shower knob with a problem from the last plumber. Everything was fixed in under an hour and fixed right. I would definitely call them again.
He told me I would get a text msg from my home warranty company but I never did.
