Uh oh, in this day and age of instant visibility on the internet, one wonders how a business can perform in a certain way and still attract customers and remain in business. I am doing a bathroom renovation and I had an appointment with J&R Plumbing & Heating to come to my house. The time they gave me was a flexible window from 9AM - 12 Noon. This seemed reasonable because it's apparently a small business and they may have had other jobs that they were working on, or even a homeowner's heating emergency during this cold winter. However, the time came and went and they never showed up. I waited until 5:00 PM and still no word. They never called to cancel, re-schedule or explain. It's been several weeks and not a peep. This was especially disappointing as I had had a somewhat lengthy phone conversation with the owner/plumber about my project. He seemed knowledgeable, nice and competent. I was looking forward to working with him. But of course, now I wouldn't hire him.
