I needed an immediate repair to the main water line going to my house. This was after the city water meter. The city came out and turned off the water because the pipe after the meter was broken. I called J McCabe and spoke to Jamie. He was at my house within 15 minutes, and finished the job within 2 hours. His rate may be a little higher than others, but his response time, and completion time was well worth the extra cost. Yes, there might be others out there that could do it for less, but then I would have to go without water for 1 more day waiting for them.

Jamie responded fast, fixed the unit, and we had water back on withing 2 hours from the initial phone call.

This was the most expensive water heater $8500, do not use this company they are professional but they over charge for hours, do not recommend unless you have money to burn...

Jamie with McCabe Plumbing is the best! Very professional, honest and upfront. Gerry installed my tankless water heater (also very professional) He did an amazing job. The difference in the job that he did vs. the original job is night and day. The price was a little higher, but they use quality products and you truly do get what you pay for in this buisness.

I have found Jamie to be a very classy and professional guy. He has been a pleasure to do business with. Most importantly he has done great quality work for me several times but most all I enjoy the interaction with him and his company. His company is very reliable, punctual, and overall a great family owned business. You will find Jamie and his technicians to be a pleasure to have in your home. In regards to prices, honestly if you want professional, upfront and honest plumbing services then Jamie is the man you want. You truly get what you pay for. And for those yelpers who put 1 star based on price alone is unfair to the guy. Give him a try if you are really looking for quality and an overall great experience. These guys are great have had them do some drain repair work 3 times and each time they do a great job and are honest and fair with their pricing.

I do agree with others that they are very expensive. I paid for 2 hrs. of labor and the job only too 40 min.. the part was 30.00 and the service call was 90.00 . the total bill for a 40 min job was almost 400.00!! this is outrageous in my opinion. I was told this included travel time for both the day before to come out and access the job and then the next day to actually do the work as well as time to go to the store and get the parts... is this normal??? I had appliance people out before and they have parts with them and then they waive the service fee if you go ahead with the work... I feel as if I was taken and next time i will either get a second opinion or try another plumber!
Be sure you know what all the fees are upfront and what they are for!!!
I would like to add that the work done was good and the leak was fixed..

We used McCabe Plumbing a 2 years ago. We were overcharged, the water to our sink did not work, and when we complained that we had NO WATER NOW, they did come back out and fix it...BUT...tried to bill us for it. I said no way, we didn't know we had to pay extra to get water out of a line you just installed! Anyway, we have always had low water pressure in that bathroom after they did the work. This weekend my husband finally took the entire line apart to check, and low and behold, the line was FILLED WITH METAL SOLDER! These guys were way over priced and did not do quality work. Check around!

Yes - as the reviewer above says, please be sure to ask for a quote or hourly rate ahead of time. We were shocked with our greater than $700 bill as well in which the hourly rate charged was $145/ hour. Do attorneys even make that much an hour? Pretty ridiculous.

My rating is not reflective of the job done, but rather the shocking price charged.

Should have called Fifteen Dollar Sewer & Drain. But I didn't because the landlords trusted these guys and sent them in. Unfortunately, the landlords never thought about getting a written quote nor did anyone ask what their labor rate was. I HIGHLY suggest you do this so you don't get crushed with a $775 bill to ultimately drill a hole in a plastic pipe and snake 15 feet of sewer main....like we did. I get the impression that this type of work is a necessary evil for them during an economic downturn as our guy had to leave to get the right piece of equipment. Now I have a dug up sewer main with a oblong-ed hole in it....covered up with duct tape. Nice job.
