Our pipes backed up really good and gray water started backing up into our showers. We had company visiting from out of town in a couple of days. We unsuccesfully tried to snake it ourselves. At the recommendation of some friends, we called up J. McCabe plumbing.

Nick came by and was very courteous and professional. After failing to clear the drain from the cleanout, he climbed on the room and snaked from the roof vents. This cleared out the blockage and we have fast flowing drains ever since.

I first used McCabe plumbing earlier this year when my general contractor hired them to do the minor plumbing work for a kitchen remodel. They did a great job on that project. I then purchased a new (20 year old) home and asked Jamie McCabe to give a quote for a variety of things (add seismic gas shutoff valve, rebuild piping at the house to add a pressure regulator and Flo by Moen water leak detection system, video scope the sewer line as well as adding an expansion tank to the hot water heater and replace some leaky fittings under the sink and at toilets). Jamie was not the lowest bid, but because of my experience with him, I accepted the proposal and had them do the job. Within a few days, they had the entire job done, and I wanted to give a shout out to their plumber Jerry who did perfect work as can be seen in the pictures - he is detail-oriented and made a complex plumbing task look perfect. I'm pleased to have McCabe plumbing do my work.

Jaime has saved us many times gas leak, plumbing leak, and diagnosing a smell in our bathroom with a phone call. His tagine says ""Now you know a good plumber"" for us is ""Now you know the best plumber in the business!"" I'd give this company 10 stars if I could!

Always make sure to get the price estimate and hourly cost prior to getting work done is the lesson I learnt after dealing with these plumbers. And don't ever start the work without getting the estimate written.
Don visited us to get the plumbing done, he was very nice and professional but he needed 3 trips to fix our leaking tank+to set up a bidet and semi fix shower knob (temporary fix). Due to this we got charged a whooping 650$ 15 days later. When I kept asking person who came to service for cost estimate
, he kept on saying don't worry we will chat about it later. Now I understand why. I was expecting a reasonable charge but what we got charged was outrageous!

If you have to use this company, get your quote in writing! And have it be clear if you are paying hourly for the work or a set price for the job. Jamie told me one thing and then billed me way differently. I've never had a plumber charge me for drive-time to and from my house, as well as time to ""gather materials"" from the stock they have in-shop. 2 guys, less than 2.5 hours total, 7 angle stops and 16 flexible lines = $1800. He told me that it would be $195 an hour for the labor. When I'm not there, he tells my wife that depending on the job, it might be up to $1800. When the guys left, I thought I'd be getting billed for about +/-$1200 (5 hours and some materials). When we talked on the phone, he insists that the job was quoted for $1800 and the hours don't matter and I've got to pay $1800 but he's doing me a favor by letting me pay $1650 'cause of their billing error. He tells me that the price reflects the hourly of really 8 hours labor because of gathering materials and drive time to the job and back (20 minutes from their shop). He also didn't and wouldn't send me an invoice that explains this. It only says, ""labor and parts, total, $1650. Total B.S. and needless to say we won't be using him again, and I don't think you should either.
2-stars instead of 1 because the guys that came out were prompt, friendly, and their work was good.

I was in HD shopping for a few faucets/springs/chamber and trying to figure out what I might need to help my handyman to finish my leaking faucet in tub. My handyman was doing a terrible job and he almost ripped the shower knob as it was eroded. I met this gentleman (Adrian new owner for JMcCabe) who was wearing his company T-Shirt and I approached him and asked if he can advise. He took me around showed what I need and checked what I bought and gave me a idea !! A $4 hand saw. This immediately stuck me that yes this will do. He told me where to cut it how to remove. I would next time definitely call Adrian for my plumbing issues. No more handyman for me. Thanks Adrian. Kishan

Our water heater broke down in 2018 and Jamie McCabe came out and installed a ""new"" one. Now it is broken again and the plumber who is fixing it says Jamie McCabe installed a used, refurbished 2014 product without our permission. We trusted him to provide a new product as detailed in our invoice. Jamie was so unethical and difficult to dealt with after the installation that we do not want him back again and will allow the home warranty company to replace the water heater. Terrible service and a total scam. Please for your own sake, stay away!

My water heaters needed to be replaced. Jamie came out to assess and gave me a few options and suggestions. His quote for 2 water heaters replacement with new tanks and shutoff valves was very competitive among the four others plumbers.

On the day of the job, the 4-man crew was very professional and efficient. They laid down paper in the hallway to minimize any mess inside the house. The 3.5 hours job went very smoothly. No issue with the installation and they were very tidy and cleaned up everything prior to leaving the house. I am very happy with the experience and would recommend their services to others

Love them! I have been using them for years. Today I woke up to no hot water in the house and a flooded garage. J McCabe came to my house within 30 minutes and installed a tankless water heater!!!! I did not even know these things existed!!! it provides an infinite amount of hot water, can never leak, connects to an app on my phone and is so small it hardly takes up any space. My garage is so much bigger without a large, leaking tank!!! J McCabe saved us again!! (And, they are all really nice people.)
