The only thing good about this company is Emiel showed up same day. We made a call to our home warranty because our hot water heater was no longer producing enough hot water to sustain daily showers. Emiel let the water run for 5 minutes if that, didn't hear any sounds and left saying there's nothing wrong with it, it's just too small for the house. WHAT??? It's been just fine for the house up til a few weeks ago. Talk about not knowing what he was doing. But that's ok, our insurance sent out a gentleman for a second opinion who diagnosed it within 5 minutes and didn't run the water. Go elsewhere, would not recommend at all!!

I have a couple of leaking pipes and contact my home warranty for service. They were going to send me someone with a bad reputation as listed in Yelp and BBB. I immediately contacted the Home Warranty service department and cancelled my service and they found me J and L Plumbing. Investigated J and L in both Yelp and BBB. Their reputation is great just like the reviews in Yelp. The gentleman assessed the problem before making the repairs. Throughly check the pipes to ensure no leaks before called the job done. Very friendly to deal with and makes no mess for me to clean up. Highly recommended for plumbing services.

I would not recommend this plumbing company PURELY because of the boss named Bill. They showed up at my house, looked at the leak and deduced that it was coming from the toilet. The plumber did a good job in replacing the wax ring and he was professional and informative. However, two days later, the same leak occurred and it was coming from the exact same spot. It turned out to be the shower but the water was pooling up and the only place it could drain was by the hole where the toilet pipe was. Honest mistake on the plumbers part but when I called to explain, the boss Bill spoke over me and told me that they fixed the problem and for me to quit trying to cheat him and that I'd have to put in a separate claim with my home warranty for him to fix the same problem. It's too bad Bill didn't have patience and listened to me as the customer. Another $100 in deductible on my part was a small fee to pay but being rude to a new homeowner is uncalled for.

When we moved here in 2014, we had loud shaking pipes in our rental townhouse. I don't think J&L was the first place I called, but they were the ones who answered the phone on a weekend and came the same day. I was pleased and saved their business card on my fridge. Needed a plumber again this week and called J&L. Again they sent someone same day and solved the problem quickly and for an extremely reasonable price. So far, so good. I thought they deserved a good review.

Wonderful work! I had a clogged kitchen sink/garbage disposal and a previous plumber scared me out of my
mind when he couldn't fix it and said it may have been a broken pipe at the slab. Lee Williams came out to fix it the same day I called the company and fixed it quickly, with the utmost professionalism and courtesy and a very reasonable price. I HIGHLY recommend this company in general and Mr. Williams in particular and will certainly choose this company and plumber again in the future.

I felt they were thorough in determining my needs, arriving promptly at the scheduled time. The technician was courteous. He made all the required repairs without problems. He disposed of the broken toilet that needed to be replaced as well as replaced a shut off valve in another bathroom and replace a section of a pipe and shut off valve in the basement. My only concern about this part of the job was a lack of a recourse if there were problems with the completed job. I was told that none was provided because they did good work.

Unfortunately, the repairs on my main shut off valve, in the basement, created a major problem when the water is turned on. The noise from the pipes created an awful sound. The loudness gradually decreased slightly, but it was obvious the noise would not go away, especially if there was more than one faucet running. After weeks of this situation, I finally called J & L and this is where the problem began. Not only did they deny fault, without hearing my concern, the person I was speaking with proceeded to tell me what needed to be done, including the water line that the county had shut off. He was very argumentative. He was reluctant to send a technician back to diagnose the problem. He finally agreed when I said they were the only ones who had touched my plumbing and that I was prepared to pursue it. A technician did respond within the scheduled time. I did not hear him knock on my door, but I saw a vehicle with the company's name parked across the street in front of a neighbor's house. I approached the vehicle twice, but it was vacant each time. I noticed the vehicle pull off at the end of the open appointment time, however I did photograph the empty truck. I also viewed my security camera footage and observed that the technician knocked on my door briefly twice, about three minutes before I noticed his vehicle. I also observed him cleaning something off the bottom of his shoe on the edge of my porch. Based on this observation alone, I would never hire them again.

Called O'Neill Plumbikng for a clogged toilet at a rental home we own in Falls Chuch. It was a Tuesday. Quoted $250 ""emergency charge"" if they came same day and $750- $1200 if toilet is first floor (thus ""main line clog"")- which it was. I passed on them and found J&L Plumbing. They quoted a flat fee of $150 and charged same...and came same day. Buyer beware!!! And THANKS, J&L!!! I sm referring you to our community website service providers list.

I'm a retired guy in Arlington on a budget. My water heater went kaput and most plumbers wanted to charge me $1500-$2200 to sell & install a new one. Since i could buy a decent 40 gallon one at Home Depot for $500-600 and get it to my home with my son's help, I looked for a plumber who would simply do the replacement and nothing else. I called about six Yelp-recommended plumbers, but most would not install an owner bought heater. Those that would either wanted to charge me for a visit before quoting a price or quoted some ridiculously high price for a few-hour job.

J & L Plumbing gave me a good price over the phone. The installer, Bill, did a perfect job, giving me some tips as he worked. He was finished in two hours, tested everything in front of me and cleaned up the area better than It was before. I paid the exact price quoted on the phone. Great installer, great work, solid company!
