I wish I had read the reviews before using this service. I needed to purchase a new water heater last August 2023 and needed a specific type that would work in my mobile home. I located one at a local dealer and, per J & J instructions, sent them the specs for this particular model. Mallory at J&J said, yes, this model will work. They came and installed the water and left after having me sign the invoice. (There is a 1- year warranty on parts and installation.) Fast forward to June 26, 2024. I was having a new furnace installed and the gas had to be temporarily shut off. Avista was called to relight the water heater pilot light, and they discovered that this was the wrong type and/or improperly installed it was a PROPANE tank and should have been Natural gas. SNAP also came to inspect the water heater and agreed that it was not the proper tank and was badly installed. Long story short, J&J was rude and basically kept saying, 'you bought the tank' putting the blame on me. I'm not a plumber, or water heater expert. I trusted them to do the right thing. And they never called it in for an inspection. The office manager basically laughed at me and just said 'well, it's your house'. Whatever that's supposed to mean. I do know that a bonafide contractor has the duty to call L&I for inspection of their work. I guess they knew it would not pass inspection. Now I have useless water heater and have to have a new one PROPERLY installed.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!! Like I said, I wish I would have read theses reviews before hiring them. They really deserve ZERO stars.
We purchased several appliances from Fred's, here in Spokane. The appliances arrived and a few days later these guys showed up to install the Range, Fridge etc. Evidently, they forgot the 'LP Conversion Kit' for the Range. The 'install guy' remarked that I would need to pay another 200.00 trip fee for them to come back to fix the stove - due to no fault of my own. That didn't go well.. but wait ... there's more....
I thought, ""At least we can plug the fridge in to make some progress"". They guy then informed me that would cost an additional 130.00 'minimum install fee'. The fridge was 12 feet away from its final place and only needed to be plugged in! It would have taken 5 minutes, at the most, to do this and they wanted 130.00 bucks to do that? I said, ""No... Let me settle the 200 trip fee now and I will 'install' the fridge on my own."" I know how to 'run' a hand truck and plug in an appliance! I fired them on the spot!
They will NEVER step foot on my place again. I'm not against folks earning a living but to pay 130.00 for 5 minutes of work is fraud.
Do yourself a BIG favor. NEVER have these guys do ANYTHING for you. I'm still pissed off about it! :-(
We needed gas lines extended for a new gas range and a tankless hot water tank. The plumbing was done in a timely manner but somehow the inspection was not ordered until I did it myself a full week later.
The install was then finally scheduled but now a full week later than what could have been because of the delay in the inspection that was never ordered.
The day of the scheduled install of the new tankless hot water tank we had the old electric hot water tank disconnected and the electrical connection converted to 110 from 220. Then they (j&J) called us to say they screwed up and did not order the needed parts so we were now without hot water until they could get the parts.
Six days later they showed up and still did not have the correct parts so we still had no hot water. And the office had no intention of scheduling someone to fix it the next day. Six days later we finally had someone come out and get our hot water working but the vent cap looks like a redneck cap with a bucket on the top. It is now two weeks later and we still have that redneck vent cap and no tray under the tank. The system faulted this evening reset but god know how long it will be before someone can come look at it.
If Home Depot is still using/recommending these clowns, shame on them. I have spoken to them several times expressing my displeasure with an install of a product I bought from them.
This is the second time we have used J & J. First to install dishwasher, microwave and fridge. This time for a new garbage disposal. Andy was very professional, quick and through. He did a great job. We will definitely call them in the future.
Paid $300 for dishwasher install. They were contacted with Fred's appliance. Hooked up incorrectly and now have to wait another 10 days for them to come back and fix it. Do not hire.
I bought a new kitchen faucet from Home Depo and J and J plumbing was contracted to install it. I almost cancelled the installation because of the bad Yelp reviews. I'm really glad that I didn't. Workmen arrived on time. Called ahead of time to let me know they were on the way. They replaced my worn valves and installed my new facet in about 1/2 hour. Courteous, clean, and professional. Thank you Andy and Chris for doing such a wonderful job. Thank you Home Depo for turning me on to such a reliable company. J and J plumbing is a ""go to"" in my tool box, from now on.
Would highly recommend.
Horrible customer service when you call the office! The lady that answered the phone and makes the appointment is very rude and not helpful at all. On that note that's why I wouldn't recommend them! If I could give zero Stars I would but I can't If I want to leave a review.
Terrible phone scheduling. No flexibility on times. When they do get there to install something, watch out. Short cuts will be taken. Actually saw one of their employees loading his warehouse truck for customer deliveries. He had a range on a hand truck and just dropped it real hard to the ground. Did not have any concern for the product. Too bad for the person buying the range. I'd recommend calling other electrical or plumbing companies.
They either broke my toilet or installed a broken toilet, and then they laid the blame at my feet by stating that I must have cracked a newly installed porcelain bowl in the 2 hours between their messy install and the toilet's first use. Amazing. Home Depot clearly doesn't care who installs their appliances, but in their defense, they refunded the price of the install (after about 2 total hours of text messaging and phone calls), though I still have 2 toilets that I've paid for since I can't get a refund on the broken toilet until it is returned...which I can't do until the new one is installed. Just a mess, and all because these disreputable, failures at life are allowed to do this sort of work again & again--read the reviews. And check out their website, wait, I mean photo of a trailer. Come on, Home Depot, I thought you were better than this
Geneva S.I purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot and paid for installation and removal of my old one. They were very unhelpful, inflexible and rude when I asked if they could install near the time that my dishwasher was delivered, delaying installation a week. They do not care about their customers and are seriously lacking customer service. I would highly advise taking your business elsewhere to a company that actually deserves to stay in business. I spoke with two different employees who interrupted me and were quite unpleasant.
