Jerry has been servicing my boiler and other plumbing needs for over 10 years. He and his team are really nice. They do a terrific job and never try to upsale me extra services or equipment.

We have been working with JJ Lay for over five years and have always been very happy with them. We have a 1940s house with very old plumbing that also has a furnace, boiler and swamp cooler. Not only is Jerry is very knowledgeable about all of these systems, he is honest and reasonable in his pricing. Two other family members have started working with Jerry on larger projects this past year and have also been very happy with his work. We plan on using JJ Lay for an upcoming renovation project and would highly recommend them to anyone I know.

I do NOT recommend this company! They do not follow through, they do not return phone calls, and they do not stand by their bids. Also very difficult (and rude) to deal with... I strongly suggest you find a different HVAC or plumbing contractor.

We needed to replace our ancient (35 yrs?) air conditioner on the roof with a new evaporative cooler. Jerry made it very easy with the bidding process all the way through the install. He made it possible to take advantage of the existing duct work to make the switch out very easy keeping the new cooler on the roof. Jerry and his crew took out the old AC and had the new cooler installed in a day and a half. I would highly recommend Jerry and his company for any plumbing project you might need!

We had a leaky water main that I originally contacted Roto Rooter about, but after they missed their window three days in a row my wife canceled and I called JJ Lay. Bonnie got us on the schedule for 12-2 the next day and said they would send their technician Levi out. She explained about the $59 diagnostic charge which a couple other reviews have mentioned, and that seems pretty reasonable for them to send an experienced technician out to a site to assess a repair, plus it gets waived if you have them do the work.

Levi came out around 1 the next day to check it out as planned. I wasn't there but my wife said he was great and answered all her questions and said he'd get it taken care of. I talked to him on the phone after he'd already gotten the leak to stop and he recommended replacing the section of pipe and the old valve with a ball valve shutoff. I was more than happy to have him do this while he was out and probably never have to worry about it again. The fixture he replaced was about 60 years old and he said we could leave it but that it'd probably just have to keep being tightened whenever it was turned - not something I want to deal with every time I have to shut the water off.

So we got the leak addressed, upgraded the shutoff, and Levi also located and dug up our curb stop to turn off service to the main. I checked out the new pipe and shutoff when I got home and was happy with the work, thought what they charged was totally fair, and my wife was really pleased with the customer service. I'll definitely use them again.

If you are expecting quality work for a fair price, I recommend you call these guys. My wife and I had them out to multiple properties and they did a very nice job on all of them. Just amazeballs as to what they did for us in one visit - Serviced the tankless water heater, furnace and non-functioning fireplace on a recently purchased home. Gave sound advice and further recommendations to repair some outstanding issues. Our dog always barks at unfamiliar folks - not this plumber. He was the most friendliest service professional we had ever had!

Horrible scheduling process, plan on multiple trips of the technician coming out to fix something easy. Their technicians do not carry the necessary parts on them to fix the problem, they simply come out and charge you a $59 diagnostic fee then have you reschedule (at a later date). Here's a play-by-play:

My water heater's pilot light went out so I call JJ Lay and they were able to squeeze me into the end of the day for the technician. I provided a detail description of what was going on hoping the technician would be able to fix it. Technician comes out, scratches around the bottom of the water heater and determines I have a bad part - the same bad part I described to them over the phone. Well since you're here can you fix this bad part? Nope, technician doesn't carry spare parts on him and tells me to reschedule and since they're booked up for the rest of the week it will have to be next week. Great, no hot water for another 4-5 days. This is the process with working with JJ Lay......

I even called in and the scheduling lady states ""yes, that does sound like an error on our technician"" . Thanks for the help lady, you were more than accommodating getting me scheduled but now you'll just take that $59 diagnostic fee and be on your way, thanks.

Jan, 12, 2015. This is, by far the WORST company to deal with. Not only are they entirely unprofessional, they are unreliable and completely overrated. If I could give them zero stars, I would.
I had a leak in the basement and already had somebody else come look. The other person already did all the work (cut a hole in the wall, told me what needed to be repaired, etc.)
I was trying to be nice and give these people business and not only was the tech an HOUR late (with no phone call), he was in and out of my house in less than 5 minutes. He was very unprofessional and said he would send me my quote and never did.
I called to discuss the $60 bill they sent me and I never got an answer, claiming their computers crashed and the lady would take care of it. 6 months later (today) I get to speak to a very rude lady, Kay Eddleman, and claiming what I had talked to the lady before about didn't matter b/c she was no longer there.
Don't waste your time with this pathetic company. There are PLENTY of other reliable companies out there. Good luck!

Terrible Company, we got their number from our insurance company. The girl who picked up the phone whose name is Bonnie, is terribly rude. They came over to find out our odor problem in the basement, ended up they find nothing and want to charge us $59.99, and when they sent the bill, it is $79.95!!!!! --- For doing NOTHING and didnt inform us the payment when we made the appointment.!!!!!!

Basically WORST plumber company you could ever imagine! NEVER USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
