Having spent more than 20 years in the plumbing and heating field, I kicked off my career as a ""Shop Runner"" and swiftly moved up the ranks. Through trade shows, training sessions, workshops, and invaluable experience alongside licensed professionals, I have acquired a wealth of knowledge.
Now, I proudly own J-Goods Plumbing and Heating. We provide fair pricing and diligent work by licensed professionals.
Having been in this field for nearly two decades, I first worked on organizing parts and fittings. Much of my knowledge comes from my colleagues and a few exceptional speakers.
I aimed to find the top installers and service techs in the area and would not compromise. I feel I have gathered the best team that any plumbing and HVAC company could hope for.
The crew is the backbone of my success; they are the stars, and I just steer the ship.

Trish S.What started as a drying well has turned out to be a fortuitous relationship with J-Goods and their very knowledgeable staff. At the urging of our well expert, we started watching for leaks and drips that might be adversely affecting our well's supply. Sure enough, the ancient front spigot was losing a fair bit of water daily (in the dry conditions, it was hard to notice until we got a pail under the spigot). One call is all that it took for Dan to make his way over to look into the problem.
I had hoped it was just a matter of a gasket, but the age of the spigot put the easy fix out of reach. Dan assessed all of the spigots and recommended shut-off vales for all of them, which brought me great relief. Now we are in control of the water situation and will (hopefully!) eliminate future surprises. Based on our discussion, I felt very well-informed to make the decision and I'm super pleased with his work.
While he was in the basement with us, he mentioned the fact that we're still using fuel oil. While not ideal, we simply hadn't started moving that project ahead. Yet. Insert Dan, who talked to Andy, and just two days later Andy was here to similarly educate us on a propane conversion. Talk about full service! Just one phone call and I'm crossing things off my list of house projects; badda-bing! Suddenly the weight is off my shoulders, our list of house ToDos seems so much more manageable and I feel like we are in good hands. Thank you to the J-Goods team for making us newcomers feel like VIPs!

Feather D.My dad is friends with one of the plumbers so we used j goods to install a new hot water heater and gas furnace in my home
For some reason they left the old hot water heater full and as a holding tank for water? Despite it being rusty old and replaced. I was never given that info so when I was at work.at my 13 year old son found the tank burst in my basement spraying water everywhere. ($300 water bill that month) I had to call in an emergency plumber and shut off the water main.
Recently I got an efficiency inspection uncovering what I had been saying from the get go... I smell gas. I was right there is a leak. I live here as a single mom with 3 kids and a gas leak I cant afford to fix.

Was a fortune
I now use swick for all my needs including maintenance.
On top of everything they refused to tighten one small pipe for less than 200 extra dollars on top of the furnace install. My dad did it. Tightened it a quarter turn and that water pipe is still good to go 4 years later.
Lois O.The company was very professional. They called to let us know when Matt would arrive. He knew what was wrong right away and fixed the problem to our satisfaction. We certainly will use J Goods again.
Peter S.Although the Company appears to be technically competent, their customer service levels are lacking. After spending over $2,400 to have a gas wood stove installed, a small problem developed within a week of the install that appeared to be an installation issue. After several calls and emails over three weeks in which I asked to speak to the installation tech about the issue, I received an email stating their technician was very busy and suggesting I contact the stove manufacture or dealer to resolve the problem. This was in spite of the fact that I had already told JGoods I had contacted the manufacture and they suggested it was an installation issue. Regardless, for $2,400 you would expect the courtesy of a simple call back! Also, I agreed to and paid a $140 estimate for the job which was not credited against the work despite the fact the company's Facebook page promotes ""Free Estimates"". Going elsewhere to solve the problem. I do not recommend using them and I will not hire them again.
