My honest plumber referred this company to me. He cannot go to Palo Alto and so he referred this guy Robert to me. This guy Rob sent 2 workers to our apartment. Carlos and Lois are good workers. Carlos was showing Lois how to cut open the ceiling nicely. Obviously Lois is the apprentice. When they looked at the leakage and opened up the ceiling, Carlo said it's not a big deal. I asked them how much would they charge, Carlos said he does not know. He usually will send in the job done and have Robert do the billing. Since they are referred to me by my regular plumbing guy, I thought I could trust them. The job was completed and finished in about 2.5 hours. Then I received an invoice of $886.00. The material, which is the wax ring that might costs $57.99. There is no material receipt that shows the material is $57.99. Then the labor was @180 per hour for Carlo and $130 for the apprentice Lois. So I have to pay $310 per hour for the labor. The charge is three times of the Union Workers. I don't understand. Then there is 1.7 % Venmo charge and $30 tax charge.
Then he filed a mechanical lien on me and gave me another invoice, in which the amount is $1380.39. Pls. see the photos attached. Then the material goes up to $75.39
I don't want to say further. Please think about it yourself of this guy Robert's professional ethnics.
You beg, I am taking him to small claim court. I do this not because of the money, but because of my moral responsibility.

We've been using JB Lind Plumbing services for the last 15 years. They have worked on a variety of small and large projects for our home including remodeling and enlarging our walk-in shower, repairing toilet leaks, sink and replacing the water heater.

When we renovated of our kitchen and dining room in 2018, Robby and his team helped us planned and did an incredible job of rerouting pipes, installing gas line, garbage disposal, water filter and the faucet at the sink. Robby worked well with our General Contractor and his crew. The entire project went on without a hitch thanks to Robby's efficiency, expertise, problem solving skills and his collaboration with the contractors.

We can always count of Robby and his team to help us with all of our plumbing needs. Their work is top notch, service fees are fair and everyone we worked with are professional.

We are planning to remodel and update the bathrooms in our home and we'll definitely be using JB Lind to help us with the project. It's very hard to find a good and reliable plumber in the city and we are very fortunate to have found a good family own and run company.

Each job was completed on time and at the estimated price that was originally quoted. Robby and his team are awesome because they pay attention to the details in their work. We're sticklers (borderline fussy) and these guys do really clean work. We have no hesitation recommending Robby and his team to anyone who is looking for a reliable plumbing at a reasonable price. He's our ""go to"" plumber.

Can't say enough good things about how great Robby and his team were. I remodeled my master bathroom and with their help it came out just as I was hoping. Jim drove out to my house in Antioch to replace two toilets. He was very professional and finished the job in a timely manner. He made sure everything worked well before he left. These guys were great. Had a running toilet after a house party that no other plumber could get fixed. Turns out someone flushed a bunch of Jimmies down there when they were done, Robby got them right out! Would've given them 5 stars but Robby left my place with one of those Jimmie's stuck to the bottom of his shoe...

If it was possible to score a ZERO star that would be our mark. This man is on the take, after a judge ordered that he pay amount due 10 days after court which was two weeks ago, he has yet to follow through. This man Jim Lind was not even hired by us, he was hired by local Realtor. Acrued a total of over $8000 amount of so called plumbing and handyman work to payment landowners. He did not provide proper invoicing and demands payment in an unprofessional manner.
He has unethical business practices, takes advance deposits for material and does not deliver. His billing is unbelievably unethical, charges for drive time to and from location. He is a con man does not produce receipts for anything. Absolutely a negative experience we should not even be having to deal with him. He has been a waste of time and energy. Stay away from this man, do not hire him!

Worst experience we have had with any repair in 20+ years of home ownership. Charged us $250 an hour for driving time without telling us in advance that they bill for travel time. We later learned that this travel time was not to/from their home/office location but on their way home from a project. The project is in San Carlos, and they live in Glen Ellen. We live in Marin, 5-10 minutes off the freeway, so we were right on their way home.
In replacing a faucet, they threw away a piece to our water recirculating system, which we realized when the system stopped working the day they did the work. They refused to take responsibility for their error and would not pay for the part or the plumber we had to hire to come in and re-install the part. I called the main office and talked to someone who said he had 20 years of plumbing experience but did not know anything about the check valve that we need for our recirculating system.
The numbers on their invoice do not add up. They charged us $30 for tax on an $80 part, and they never provided the receipt for the part. They refuse to discuss the invoice and our concerns with it, so now they put a lien on our house, adding $500 to the invoice without explaining why.
Not only do they not know plumbing, they are completely unethical. I would not recommend hiring them under any circumstances.
