I wish I could gave a negative rating. This place is awful and I want to warn other consumers about my experience so they do not have to deal with this rip off company. Many years ago I needed a rod out. I called Ivanhoe. They had trouble getting their rod through the pipe and could not remove the cap leading to the outside pipes. I went upstairs while they worked on this. A short time later they advised me it had been repaired, water was flowing again. I paid. I came downstairs after they left and noticed they had drilled a hole in a pipe then covered the hole with black electrical tape. I learned 2 lessons. Never leave workers alone in my home and never use Ivanhoe Plumbing. I never called them back. In February of this year we needed a rod out again. (roots in the pipes) I sent a handyman over. My son didn't like the price quoted and called Ivanhoe. I was at work and advised my son not to let them in my home. I do not trust them. He did and what a mess they made. They started the rod out from the correct location but their rod got stuck. I arrived home and there it was, this rod sticking out of an open pipe. My son paid them and they left the job undone. They said they were unable to get the rod out, it was stuck. I called the next day and they were rude to me, told me they had already tried and explained to my son they could not get it out. They did say for an additional fee, they would dig in the yard and access the pipes to get the rod out and clear the pipes, of course this would be much more money. It was a nightmare. My son was eventually able to get the rod out and a local plumbing company performed the rod out. They did advise me that Ivanhoe used a cutter that was too large. SMH, NEVER again.
