Called them for a bathtub clog. They came within two hours and got the job done within 5 minutes. Super friendly technician. Would definitely call again in the future for any problems. Thank you

I called this place like last week for a sink leak and they came the same day you can't get no better than that it wasn't even an emergency situation then I called them again to fix a cracked pipe nothing but remarkable service i even tried to YouTube to try to fix these things myself but I changed my mind real quick! I will definitely use them for all my plumbing needs. The prices were decent can't really complain about that about 400 total for both services. And their service truck looks beautiful and clean not no raggedy truck many plumbers come in. Thank you for being sufficient and professional!

I can't say enough good things about them! Quick service, polite and helpful and very reasonable prices. When you're a landlord dealing with a tenant long distance there is nothing more valuable than an honest, professional business. I will definitely use them again!

My sump pump wasn't working properly after all the rain we had on Friday. Came downstairs to a flooded laundry room and a feeling of panic since it was the weekend before Christmas. Searched through Yelp's reviews to help me decide who to call since the last guy I called randomly from the internet was a real dud. I called Island Sewers and after brief questioning I was able to get someone (Manny) to come to my house within an hour or so to look at the sump pump same day. I was quoted the cost of a new sump pump installation which was what I expected and also the cost of the service charge. Manny was courteous, quick and efficient. He discovered what caused the sump pump stalling and now it's working properly. Happy to know I now I can call Manny if I have future issues with the sump pump.

Had a kitchen sink back up called Island Sewers spoke with a very polite Danny who told me they would be out within 1.5 hrs. Alex and his co-worker arrived with in the hour. They assessed the situation, explained what had to be done , gave me a fair price and completed the job . Work was quick and neat. I am pleased and would recommend them and use them again. Absolutely perfect. Always, having lived in an apartment I never had to worry about plumbing issues. This is an important aspect to remember for anyone reading this review. As I now own my house any issues are completely my responsibility. Sure enough I find myself with what I thought was a major plumbing issue and I needed a plumber at my house as soon as possible.

That's where the fun began. I went on yelp and simply went down the list of plumbers. Each different plumbing company had various excuses as to why they couldn't make it that ranged from ""we are too busy to deal with this right now"" to ""we do not go to Staten Island"". Eventually, I found Island Sewers. They picked up my call right away, somehow interpreted my vague and hard to understand explanation of my issue and did not hesitate to assist.

I explained the situation to the guy who I was on the phone with and he not only assured me that it will be taken care of but it will be taken care of the same day. The price was more than fair. This is they most important part to note, as someone with zero plumbing knowledge he could have told me anything he wanted and I would have no choice but to oblige and pay whatever amount I would be charged. However, they did the exact opposite. They told me exactly what it was and I paid a great price for the service.

Therefore, as a new resident in the area you now have a dedicated customer for life. Although, I hope I don't need too much help in the future =)

I had a clogged bath tub. We tried Clorox and some other product that purchased at Home Depot. Nothing worked. I found them on Yelp and called right away. They were here within the hour. He snaked the drain and cleared everything. $140 well spent. They were professional as well.

So it's 9:45 pm an I'm panicking trying to find a plumber to come out at this time of night 911 call pretty much.

So my tenant calls an tells me that there's a leaking coming in from one side of the home into in home

GREAT just what I need at nearly 10pm

Mind you I gutted this 2 family from top to bottom inside an out everything brand new there shouldn't be no leaks or drops at all.
Anyway there is an I call island sewers an he calmed me down gave me a quote from $225-$275 max I explained to him what was happening an he said it sounds like you just need to snake the drain. Listen $225-$275 at that time of night in a emergency sounds like nothing in the moment I'm like fine when can you come. He had his partner Alex arrive within 30-45 min. Very very professional nice man he fixed the issue in 3 secs. Easiest $225 I ever seen someone make on that amount of time. Hey well worth it for me. My tenant wouldn't have yuck water in their home.

Overall I found a reliable professional plumber who came to my needs last minute.

I'm super pleased with their service an I would be using them in the future for my other homes.

Thanks guys I appreciate the fast response

I called today because our sewer was backing up, and the website said they would give an estimate over the phone, which was $165, and there was a 10% discount on first time customers. The guy was there very quickly, and we were happy about that. He brought a piece of equipment into my cellar (maybe it was an electrically powered snake?), and I heard it running for a bit. He came upstairs and told us the sewer was completely blocked by roots, he couldn't get through, and our sewer pipe could possibly be cracked. He said he needed to call in another guy to get a camera, to try to see if it was cracked, and that would be $850.

I remembered that I purchased insurance through the DEP to cover broken sewer pipes, and told my husband to call them to see if this would be covered. The DEP said they would send an independent contractor within 45 minutes. We decided to use the contractor who would be replacing the pipe, if needed. We paid the guy from Island sewers, plus a very generous tip, and apologized and explained that we would be using the contractor that our insurance supplied. We figured that we would have to pay the next contractor to diagnose the problem, then our insurance would pay the rest.

The contractor (Liberty Water & Sewer) was there quickly and took the same piece of equipment into our cellar, worked for about ten minutes, and unclogged our sewer. No charge! So, we paid Island Sewer to do a job that they didn't do, and they wanted $850 to use their camera to ""diagnose"" our problem. Thank goodness I had the insurance, or I would have paid twice. I can come to two conclusions based on what happened here today: Either the guy who came here was incompetent, or they were ripping us off. The only reason they deserve one star was because they got here fast. Otherwise it should have been zero stars. Buyer beware.
