Recommended Customer Reviews

Service and repair businesses, only, are hard to find. Most of the HVAC companies have been and are being taken over by corporations that want to sell new equipment to maximize profits. Ishii and Son does repairs and maintenance and does it very well. Mr. Ishii fixed my compressor fan problem and cleaned the unit for a very reasonable cost.
I strongly recommend.

I have an ancient heat pump. Mr Ishi has serviced for years. Excellent service, honest, reasonable. Thank God I found them.

We've used Ishii and Sons for years. They're a small family business, so they don't always have the fastest response time, but we find them to be capable and fair. Their rates seem competitive to us. We recommend them highly for non-emergency calls. That is to say, our first call is always to Ishii. If it's an emergency and we need a quicker response, we go to plan B.

Last season my heater did not turn on. He replaced the control board. A week later - the same problem. He showed up, could not diagnose the issue, told me to 'test it'. I was able to turn it on by switching to A/C and back to heat, so I lived with it. This season my unit won't turn on at all. Called the guy a few times, left two messages. No response whatsoever. They decided to completely ignore me. I hired somebody else who was able to fix it on the spot. Will never use Ishii again.

Excellent response time. Friendly, knowledgeable. Called ahead of arrival. Fast, courteous service. Fair price. Highly recommended.

Our air conditioner stopped working during the recent heat wave. I called to schedule service and Wayne arrived as promised. He identified the problem quickly, repaired my AC, and left the area cleaner than when he started. We have also used Ishii and Son for plumbing repairs and have always been satisfied.

If you don't mind paying top dollars for labor/parts I would recommend. I will personally never use again. Minimum service charge for a call is $160 and only includes 30 minute labor. If he does not have part in truck and has to pick-up, another service charge for $160. Comfort Master minimum service charge is $98 for 45 minutes labor and they will only charge you one time even if they have to come back the next day.
All said in done, I paid $897 which included a 10% labor discount for replacement of a control board in furnace. The invoice did not break down part/labor price, but he told me part was around $500. So I basically paid around $400 for one hour of labor...should of hired a attorney instead at that rate...LOL.

I agree with Sandra B. Ishii and Sons is an outstanding company. It is very hard to find a company who is willing and able to repair an old (1929) furnace. Wayne came to our house promptly, fixed our problem quickly and for a very reasonable price. We will definitely call him again!

I Called Ishii & Son about my electric furnace. The furnace was working at the time but was not shutting off two days earlier. When I called Wayne, I told him it was working but he said he would come by and check it out. My sister met him at my condo because I wasn't able to be there. Wayne replaced two working components that may or may not have needed replacing (the furnace was working fine). I asked him for the original parts he replaced. He said that he took them but would drop them off and never did. Wayne also vacuumed and cleaned the furnace fan and motor, which I didn't authorize or ask him to do. The final bill was $535 for work that wasn't authorized or even necessary! Needless to say I was livid! I would never recommend or use their services again.

Call them up to have a new water shut off valve put on. Wayne gave me a bid and
I accepted it. Tried numerous times calling him to get an update. Left messages
on his voice. Nada. I guess this guy is good if you can him to return your calls or get
a hold of him. Wayne needs to take a course in PR101.
