Michele R.Called them out for an estimate for a simple installation of valve to connect a BBQ to our gas meter. Trip charge to come give the estimate was $96.00. This charge is applied to the job if you choose to hire them for the work. This is industry standard and to be expected. What was not expected was the charge of FOURTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS for an hour's worth of work and a few inexpensive parts you can pick up at the hardware store. We were absolutely shocked at this STUPID bid. Well I guess you may be able to make some money on $96 trip calls... but trying to send a kid to college with every ridiculous overpriced fee? How can you even do this with a straight face? It's a major scam for rip off plumbers. If you are Rockefeller's you may not be bothered with asinine charges for an hour's worth of work. Don't bother with this company and hope there are plumbers out there who actually do work at acceptable prices for normal homeowners not millionaires.
