If a plumber doesn't know how to do basic plumbing job, then he needs to seek another profession. If AHS assigns this joke of a company, please request another. They left the job worse than when they found it, claimed a clogged sink needed $800 worth additional work, damaged my pipe and wasted my time. The kitchen sink was unclogged by another plumber in less than 15 minutes.

The worst plumbing company in history. Recommended by our insurance company, Dave came out on a Friday afternoon stayed for 10 minutes and ran away. When told by the insurance company they had to do the work they did not show. Complete bunch of cowboys, do not use!

Why can't I leave zero star!! I won't even give them a single star but I had to. IRH plumbing is the worst business I have dealt with from simply answering the phone to fixing a plumbing issue. Please please when AHS assign this company to your work, tell them to change the contractor for you. When AHS assigned them to me, I looked them up and saw the worst reviews and 1.5 rating but I only had a simple job to unclog the kitchen sink drain so I gave them a try but even with this simple job, they were very bad. As you can see that no one is happy with their work and professionalism. They will make your problem worse and leave. They will laugh at you, they will leave you a big mess, they won't answer your calls, they will tell AHS that the cause of the problem is not covered before even checking so that you will pay them out of your pocket. I will say more and more and more but I won't waste more time for this shitty contractor. They mad my day like hell

Any company that won't ever, ever answer a phone is a horrible sign to begin with. Service call was on 11/28. It is 12/23 and I left with zero communication.
They clearly don't care about Yelp reviews because they rely on a contract with American Home Shield for their business. There is ZERO communication between them and AHS. They came to my house to fix a toilet. The technician was a nice guy. He said probably not worth replacing the part and would submit to AHS for a cash-out. Never went through.
IRH NEVER answers the phone, not for you, not for AHS. AHS tried to reach them 6 different times while I was on hold forever and never could! Also not by email! Instead of submitting for a cash-out they went ahead and ignored me and their tech and got approval for the part. Fine, if you actually order it. The toilet company is local. I called them and part could be delivered in 3-5 days. I even offered to drive to the warehouse an hour away and get the part myself. No response. I am now 22 days sitting here without a toilet with houseguests here for Christmas. Thank you IRH.
IRH also stopped responding to my emails. They did early on and said they would have to check with their tech. You have to check with you own tech? You don't have records? Do you own a computer? RADIO SILENCE after that. 6 or 7 calls, 6 or 7 emails, stonewalled by AHS (which is a horrid company too) and stonewalled by IRH.
Thank you for ruining Christmas for my parents, IRH, who do not have use of the toilet and have to walk downstairs in the dark to use the half bath.

very Unprofessional. They just missed the appointment, and no one called to cancel or reschedule. I lost my whole day waiting for them.
Very upsetting.

The worst company I've ever dealt with. Showing up way past appointment ""hours"" 2-5. then sending COMPLETION docs to American home shield, fraudulently, because NO WORK was done. Checking for fraudulent signatures.
Plumber D told the tenant ""there's a ton of calcium build up in this water heater and would take forever to fix"" so he replaced a part... AND left... of course, the water heater is still broken...
Cant call their number at all... blocking all calls EXCEPT for the corporate number of American Home Shield, almost trolling at this point.
These kind of people dont deserve to be in Southern california, much less have a business...
They cant get any other business except through AHS. AVOID if AHS ever suggest IRH plumbing.. give them NO business

We've received service from IRH on one occasion, through our Home Shield Warranty not work with this company! Horrible customer service and rude. They don't know what they are doing and all they want is for you to give them extra money for the service. Ask for another company if you don't want problems, bad services, work not finished or with a problem that they can't fix and they don't know what they're doing.

We've received service from IRH on two occasions, through our Home Shield Warranty. Once at the beginning of the year, and once in the last couple of weeks, and the outcomes couldn't be more different, it's utterly bizarre.
Back in January, we had a trazillion problems -- multiple hose faucets leaking, multiple toilets doing weird things, washing machine backing up. IRH sent one guy out who took care of almost everything in one day, even stuff we'd been warned might not be covered. (The one thing he didn't handle was explained as a physical impossibility, so no complaints.)
This time around was HOLY MOLY horrible. There's a smell coming from our bathroom we wanted to have diagnosed and fixed. We figured it was something to do with one of the toilets that was repaired previously, so we were thrilled to have the same plumber come out. It was NOT the same plumber. This guy -- Oscar -- was not prepared in ANY way shape or form to take on a plumbing job. He was dressed nicely, came in a BMW (not a work truck), and brought no tools with him. He said he didn't want to check under the house because he would be too dirty to take his next call. But he would check back in with IRH to set another appointment. After a week, we didn't hear back so I called again and spoke to Mike to set the appointment. He said he was taking DETAILED notes, and that the person would definitely know he was going to need to go under the house and to do some work.
Same guy came back, same COMPLETE INABILITY TO DO ANYTHING. He didn't even have so much as a flashlight. His first words to us were that Mike said Home Shield wouldn't approve any of the work so sorry ? .... So why is Mike making this appointment?!? Why not tell me over the phone?!??? But this fella comes to the back to try to take a look and even tried to get under the house (after asking for a towel so he wouldn't get too dirty?!?!?!), though he didn't fit. He kept pointing to soil that wasn't wet to say there's no leak, so he doesn't know what the problem is, so that's all he needs to do! He didn't do any kind of diagnostics at all, insisting that Home Shield wouldn't cover it so that was the end of what he could do. (Never mind that he never called to check.) He spent the next half hour telling us that he could personally take the job on the side, and that he WASN'T LICENSED to be able to go on his own Another week later, we called Home Warranty to follow up and discover the case is closed and the problem was determined to be a SLAB LEAK EVEN THOUGH OUR HOUSE DOESN'T HAVE SLABS AND NOTHING WAS FIXED!!
Our theory for why there's such a difference in service is that Mike hires subcontractors and hopes for the best. There's definitely some sort of scam here that I wish I had the time to uncover.
The whole situation was so frustrating that we've actually changed Home Warranty companies so we never have to deal with these folks ever again.

Watch out for shady business practices. They were Assigned through home warranty and came up with a bunch of unneeded ""modifications"" to get us to pay out of pocket. I confirmed with another plumber after we fired three guys that no modification were needed.

We had pipe burst in concrete from powder room to laundry room into garage & towards the main front door. We have AHS Home warranty svc and AHS sent IRH for water leak detection and repair. With our help with past experience 6 hr leak detection was done within an hour. As IRH was referred by AHS and we needed to get the leak stopped and resolved asap. We got estimate from IRH as well as another company. As IRH already had detected & stopped the leak, we went with the company though they raised their initial estimate by $3500 for full repipe whole house removing Copper to Pex. within 3 days was supposed to be completed. Extremely unorganized, miss managed company. Company owner Mike never came to see the job, Fred was the one supposed to be the lead & supervisor. He never supervised unless he personally did something. Left 12-15 random people (workers) at job site. No one supervising to make sure job was done right. My husband caught so many things these people were trying to get out of doing. If we had not caught & brought them up they would have cut corners and moved on. Place was left unclean, crew did not carry their shop vac, or any cleaning products after each day. Missed few dry wall areas, did not change copper pipe going from shower control to the shower head because they had to cut dry wall or stucco to do the job right. 3 day job took more than 3 weeks. Extremely unprofessional owner and crew. Fred was doing mediocre job as he was following Mike's orders. We should have trusted reviews and not gone with this company. But than again we thought this company was referred by AHS warranty co so went with it. I would NOT recommend this company for anything. We are supposed to have life time warranty with IRH as long as we own this home. Time will tell if they respond. Their invoice does not even break down itemized work or replacement being done. very unorganized and unprofessional IMHO. when one is in this type of water flooding all u think is how to stop and remedy the situation. No time to get estimate from 3 companies and wait. Incur double expense or reroute and than repipe. I have many pics I could post here. Stay away from this. company pls. Good luck who ever reads t
