I've had this problem for 3 years with gas oven range. The appliance stuck out so far that the dishwasher would hit the oven and not open all the way. We bought new appliances and still had the same problem. So we needed to push the gas line back (which hit the back of the stove) or reposition it so the oven could be pushed back all the way to the wall.

4 Stars for:
- Someone answering the phone and getting someone out to my house for a free quote.
- Thayne called and said he would be running a little late. Businesses usually never call when you need to pick something up or to give you a status update, so this was a big plus for me.
- Thayne arrived, very polite, assessed the problem, gave me options, gave me price quotes, and finished the quick job in less than 10 minutes.

The only thing I would say is the labor costs is unusually high. It took 10 minutes to fix the pipe, but cost $215. The problem was fixed and I am so grateful, but the price. Yikes!

So overall, great service!

Needed several things fixed - leaky shower, clogged sink and a tub spout replacement. They sent Thayne the day after my call and he arrived on time even in the worst snow storm this winter. He had two of the items fixed right away and ran out to get the part needed for the shower. He was very clear about the pricing up front, to include calling before buying the shower part. Clear communication regarding price and timeline, and ensured the work was completed correctly. Minus one star only for price which was a bit high on the labor side (not his fault I'm sure), and the lack of caulking on the shower when done - not a problem for me since I can easily handle, but I reserve 5 stars for truly going above and beyond. Will be contacting them again for hose bib repairs in the spring for sure.

Late last Summer my family needed a small (and as it turns out, very minor) repair to a pipe. The man that came fixed it quickly (it took less than 2 hours from the time he assessed to the time he fixed it). I would have normally given a few stars at least for friendliness, but due to the cost I cannot give more than one star. They charged $400 per hour for labor!! Unbelievable. The final bill was $830+. We called on it, as the price seemed awfully high for the repair. They said only that the parts cost roughly $30 and the rest was for labor. No chance for a reduced bill. I understand that nothing is free, but $400 an hour seems astronomical for non-emergency plumbing services. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone who doesn't like paying an arm and a leg to a contractor. We won't ever be making that mistake again.

This is my second time using ira Hansen and sons plumbing and wow! There service is excellent. They show up on time and are eager to work. Recently I had technician Thayne arrive very professional and respectful. I informed him of some caulking that the inspector documented as needing repaired, he visually inspected the work and provided minimal caulking to a shower pan and bath tub, the work was minimal but he still took the time to fix it at no charge. I wish more companies operated in this manner, I plan on calling them again for a utility sink plumbing install. If your looking for an honest hardworking company look no further.

My GROHE kitchen faucet, installed 3 years earlier by Ira Hansen & sons plumbing had become loose. I also had a toilet which was running & I had turned the water, to it, off. When the Ira Hansen ""plumber"" named Tracy arrived & walked into the bathroom, he saw the American Standard one piece toilet and said, ""I don't know how I'm going to fix this toilet if it's anything other than a seal"". I said, I'm sure American Standard doesn't make toilets that can't be repaired"". He said, ""well, I'm going to have to go out & look it up in a manual."" Fortunately, the seal worked. Then came the faucet. He climbed under the sink and fiddled around then said, ""I can't tighten this."" I asked why and his response was he just couldn't fix it and that I would have to get whoever installed it to fix it. I advised him it was installed by Ira Hansen & sons. He reiterated he couldn't fix it. He then charged me a $195 service charge which I challenged because he didn't fix what I had requested. He stated he put the seal on the toilet & he has to charge me $195 service charge for coming out. I called the office and complained and requested Ira Hansen call me. He didn't. I called back no less than 10 times and requested he call me which he didn't. I had used Ira Hansen & sons for at least 15 years. Clearly Ira doesn't value customer loyalty and he lost a good customer. As for Tracy, the only thing I can think, is he must be a relative. OH, and by the way, my daughter has the exact same GROHE faucet and it became loose. Her husband who is a suit & tie CPA was able to fix it. GO FIGURE!!!!!

My plumbing in my kitchen sink was backed up. The plumber, Thayne, arrived the same morning that I called and tried to snake out the pipes. It turned out they are 70 year old galvanized pipes that were so bad they couldn't be snaked out. Thayne said that he wouldn't charge me for the visit because he couldn't fix the problem, even though he worked for over an hour trying to unclog the sink. I thought that was very good service. He showed me the pipes and how clogged they were. He did a great job explaining the problem. He crawled under the house to check things out. He was able to quickly provide me with a quote and a time to do the work. I had him replace the sewer pipes from both my bathroom and my kitchen. He did a great job. He was very nice and professional. I am very happy that he was able to quickly fix my plumbing problem even though it turned out to be a bigger job then I expected.

We've used Ira Hansen in the past and they had always been reasonable. NOT ANYMORE. They charged $225 to snake a drain that didn't even take 10 mins. Then come to find out most companies charge approximately $100 for the same job. Won't be using them anymore.

As a first time home owner, I was a little intimidated on actually looking for a plumbing company after 2 of our toilets were clogged deep in the pipe. I looked through Yelp and called different plumbing companies. All had the same issue...lack of Customer Service. I finally found IHS Plumbing through by reviews, sent a message, and received a message back from Ira the next day. I called today and spoke with Taylor to schedule an appointment and got me scheduled an hour later. Tracy showed up an hour later and ended up fixing 2 clogged toilets. I really liked how he gave me my options before starting the job. Customer Service is a big thing for me. Customer Service has died with most companies trying to make a buck. I was really impressed and felt relieved that a day before Thanksgiving Tracy and Taylor made my day! I will definitely recommend and will use IHS Plumbing if ever I run into plumbing issues again. To all the IHS family, have a Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you!!

I had a problem with my water heater. I called IH and Sons. Taylor was very accommodating and got someone out the same afternoon. Tracy accessed the problem and fixed it right away. He explained things thoroughly which I appreciated. He found out what other plumbers have missed over the years, that our water pressure was not regulated and was way to high. All good now. Thanks Taylor, Tracy and IH Plumbing.

I was referred to Thayne, the son-in-law of Mr. Ira Hansen, and I was very pleased with his services. I started an irrigation project back in April and was quoted an outrageous price from a guy I went to school with to have the back flow preventer and associated pipes replaced. I decided to dig the hole then anticipated somebody to come and do the job for a discount. Now it was late October and I was desperate to complete the job before the first freeze. So I called Thayne and that same day he came over and performed the job in a couple of hours. I was so pleased with his professional service and the reasonable price that he gave me. Afterwards I could sleep at night without worrying about the pipes bursting or the mailman being upset for having to walk around the Big dirt pile. I'll definitely go back to Thayne for all my plumbing needs.
