Be aware of this company, .. I called them for service so they went to take a look of my boiler bc it was not on so they called me to let me know how much it was going to cost me to fix my boiler. Very clearly they say the fee for the visit plus the parts it will be $138 TOTAL they asked me on the phone if I authorize the technician to proceed With the work. I said yes! next day I got an invoice in my email for $373 ??? and also a call from them to collect the money after reviewing the invoice I have asked for an explanation and the lady said the price they told me on the phone was the price internally for them not for the customers ??? and the lady who called me by mistake gave me their internal total price. So I think this is ridiculous!! how this companies are over pricing the service and taking advantage of us!!! I was very upset bc I wasn't counting on paying 3 times the amount they asked me to authorize on the phone?? bc we agreed on much much less and now they are charging me way more!! Very unprofessional people! nobody in the company did anything to try to honor their word!! Or discount someth bc of their mistake! so I end up with my day ruined and paying 3 times for a switch and service! I am not happy about it! very disappointed and very sad to see how this company is taking advantage of customers. I have all documents as proof of this situation I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

Interstate Heating Service tech came over to clean my furnace. As soon as he left , the furnace was making a loud rattling noise , they came back and could not fix or find the rattle
i had to call another heating contractor to fix Interstate's damage. They have been harassing me to pay BOTH service calls.

Interstate Heating came to clean our furnace. After the cleaning, it started making a loud noise that did not exist prior to the cleaning. They came back to fix the problem, but couldn't fix it and sent us a bill for $99 for trying to fix a problem they created themselves. Stay away!

Today, Tuesday 5/28/2019 I found the check for 300.00 in an envelope, attached to the front door. It was not presented to the bank for deposit. There was no note of apology. Therefore, I ask what took you guys so long to do what is right and correct?

Considering the reviews on this site about your company practices, it is my opinion that winning the trust of potential new customers is not a priority with Interstate Heating & Air.

BTW What happened to the previous review I made of the company's poor practices?

Had a very positive experience with Interstate. They gave me a fair quote for the work required. Delivered the products as promised and completed the work in a professional manner. Understanding what is covered and not covered by your warranty is very important. You get to pay for non warranty items whether you like it or not.

If you need a new heating or air conditioning unit installed in the Finger Lakes, go somewhere else!

I bought a house in 2010 that has a Tappan central air unit covered by a 10 year warranty. The only company I can deal with for work on this unit is Interstate, and they have been very shady and manipulative. For example, this summer I had to wait 2 months for a part for the air conditioner to work. Conveniently, all of the freon leaked out and I was given a $250 bill to refill the coolant when the part FINALLY came in.

And now, the heater isn't working (of course) and it needs a new heat exchange which should be covered under the warranty, but I was just given a long reason about why I'm going to have to pay $1000 for the part which may or may not get refunded, even though it is covered under warranty.

Long story short, this company is a perfect example of the stereotype you worry about with a service company... they are all about nickel and dime-ing you in every possible way.

No wonder there are numerous complaints about this company with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General!!

My experince with Interstate was horrible. They provided shoddy service and equipment. (ie, left a gas lined uncapped near an open flame) and would not stand behind their work. Dealing with Interstate was an absolute nightmare -- go elsewhere for professional and reliable service and equipment
