Intercity Plumbing
Company Overview
We excel in plumbing repairs and renovations. We handle water heaters, faucets, showers, toilets, hidden leaks, sewer blockages, camera inspections, leak detection, repiping, rerouting, gas repiping, and gas line fixes.
We have been a family-owned business in the Coachella Valley, Hi-Desert, and Inland Empire for five generations. Our team includes skilled male and female plumbing technicians. We strive to support our customers in any way we can.
My name is Jim, and I am committed to honesty and customer support. At 16, my grandfather imparted his plumbing knowledge to me. I taught my children the same way their great-grandfather taught me. Our approach is always professional and respectful towards our customers.
I’d like to point out that we collaborate with three home warranty companies and take on over 80 calls a day. We follow stringent guidelines and regulations dictated by their contracts on what actions we can take. Many negative reviews stem from warranty companies not covering certain issues, and we often become the scapegoat. I do not pay Yelp to highlight my positive reviews, despite their regular outreach. Our own rating system through the warranty company explains why we are their preferred choice. If we were as bad as these reviews claim, we wouldn’t have secured these warranty agreements. I appreciate your attention.

Do Not use this company. I have American Home Shield and they sent these folks out for a second opinion for my Hot Water Heater. The hot water heater is dumping sediment and black ""stuff"" into my water supply. The technician stated and put in writing that the Hot water heater needed to be replaced. Then the ""front office"" calls in a ""diagnosis"" to American Home Shield that routine maintenance needs to be done. This is then used by AHS to deny the replacement. Remember, This company is working for AHS and needs to keep getting work so they will call in a diagnosis so the major repair gets rejected. They work together so Do Not use them. I cannot recommend them at all. The Hot water heater has been flushed more than 3 times this year, so maintenance has been done. So the ""called in"" diagnosis is bull crap. The technician states on the Invoice that the Hot water heater was flushed and did not correct the problem. My suggestion is to go with real, independent, plumbing companies that work under their own licence and gets their own jobs, not one that works for Home Warranty companies. Save your money, don't buy a home warranty, and get a real plumber when you need one. It is less hassle and you won't be fighting this company and the home warranty company either. The job will get done in reasonable time and the job will be done right!

Experienced great service by this company today and there plumber Ozzy. Ozzy came in and diagnosed the problem quickly - a broken garbage disposal. He went back to his truck and came back in with a new garbage disposal. He promptly replaced it and even cleaned up the area under the sink and floor. They were chosen by American Home Shield and we would definitely ask for Ozzy again. American Home Shield chose a great plumber!

I would never do business with this company. The were called out to the house I rent thru the extended warranty company for the master bathroom toilet to be fixed. When Randy got here he looked at the toilet and said he could not fix it unless he took the toilet off and that was not covered under the warranty. We called the homeowner and said agreed to pay the $125 to have the toilet fixed and he said that there was a 60 day warranty and that the problem was probably just roots. He took the toilet off and used there heavy tool to put down the drain. When he said he was done he left about 3 hours later i went to use it and it was doing the same thing would not flush. I left a message for All Intercity plumbing that this issue was in fact not fixed. I had to call them back the next morning as they did not call me. The office lady Vivian look at the invoices and told me they would need to come back out and that would be an additional charge for the homeowner. I continued to tell them that is what Randy did when he was here yesterday. Finally they said they talked with Randy and said that there was a bigger issue with the plumbing which he never said anything to me about just that it was fixed. I later found out the they had the nerve to suggest that i put something down the toilet and it was my fault it stopped up again. They refused to honor there 60 day warranty and in my opinion was/is taking advantage of the homeowner due to language barrier. They have refused to fix/help correct this issue Randy lied to the company as to what he said was wrong and what he actually did,.
Please don't use this company they are in Palm Springs, CA

I was assigned from my warranty company. It took four visits to fix/get parts to fix the problem. This was earlier this spring, what was surprising to me and unacceptable was when the replaced a cracked toilet and could not get it level. The floor tile was a little off in the front side. So the toilet rocked, I called them back out and they said its not their fault and would look at it. The toilet was also leaking at the bottom. Anyway they said they fixed it and left. Well about two days later it rocked and leaked again. I simply bought a new wax ring and plastic toilet shims to replace myself. WELL, when I pulled the toilet off they used cardboard to try and level the toilet! I could not believe this would take place, really sad... I fixed it myself and used one small plastic shim and set the wax ring. NO leak and rocking now.
the other problem was replacing the kitchen faucet, when he put the new faucet in he cracked our granite near the faucet and never told us about it, oh vey....

Please do not use this plumbing company!!!! This is a warning!! I would give them zero stars but that is not an option.
I was stuck with this company because my home warranty assigned them to me.
Not only do they not come out during their scheduled time, but they do not call to inform the customer that they are not going to make it out! They are not willing to work with customers schedules, I tried several times to reschedule with them but they were not able to go to my house after 2:00 pm! I had asked if someone could be there at 2:30 the guy showed up at 1:00, I of course was still working! They were not willing to come out any later than 2:00 which is ridiculous if you work! As an added bonus, they have the worst customer service, to the point that the person that answers the phone will hang up on the customer!! They are rude, incompetent and unprofessional! DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT HIRING THIS COMPANY. If your home warranty assigns them to you I recommend that you ask for a different company.
Dealing with Intercity Plumbing was one of the worst experiences I have ever had.

This company was sent out through my home warranty. Horrible experience on two separate claims. The first time they came out , I had to recall them out a second time because the plumber left me with a pipe leaking that was not the original issue. It leaked after he removed and re secured it. When I tried to call him immediately after he left he did not answer his phone. Today I took off work as the window of time I was given was from 1p-5p. After no one had arrived at 5pm, I called the company and was told the plumber was running late and had just clocked in at another job a couple of cities away. I was told that he would call me once he was on his way. Having been told this, I ran a errand and was back home within 20 minutes to find a business card on my door from them! When I tried calling them a recording told me they were closed (mind you the business card said 24 hour service!). Had I not had family flying in the following day, I probably would be okay waiting with only 1 working toilet in the house. Even the first claim this same company had me waiting past the given time frame and then also I had left work early to make sure I was home. It has been a very frustrating experience dealing with this company.

I was assigned inter city plumbing by my home warranty company AHS, then looked them up and saw all the negative reviews. My experience was good. The plumber was on time, polite and fixed our plumbing issue. As to cost I can't speak because mine was a flat fee due to my home warranty, but based on quality of service and my experience with the plumber I'd call again to get a quote and if the price was fair use again without hesitation.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR SERVICE! READ OTHER REVIEWS!. I am a customer of American Home Shield and notified them of a leak in my garage caused by a toilet in my upstairs bathroom. Intercity Plumbing was assigned to come out and address the issue. The technician stated the toilet had a crack due to possible corrosion and stated he would recommend AHS replace the toilet. A week goes by and I called AHS and was notified that my claim had been denied due to the technician saying my toilet was cracked due to someone leaning on it. REALLY! Who leans backwards on a toilet in a space where you can hardly turn around in! I called Intercity and asked why was the technician telling me one thing and then telling AHS something else. I also asked why that information was not put on the concluded work order, Intercity said they did not know. Clearly if that was the cause of the leak it should have been noted on the completed work order...right? I think the this is ridiculous and the company is a scam. I wish I would have read the reviews before I let them come to my home. What a joke!!!! I called AHS after I spoke with InterCity and advised them to take a better look at this company and read the reviews.AHS should consider terminating their contract with this shady company. SMH!!!!!

Wow! If you want poor service and to be ripped off call these people. I made a claim through my home warranty expecting great service as always. This tech came in and jiggled the bath faucet I needed replaced before informing me that hew was going to call and make sure that he would be able to complete the repair. He stated that because I turned off the water and loosened the faucet that he was not able to complete the repair and that it is not covered under my home warranty. As soon as he got of the phone with my home warranty he offered to install a faucet for $250 and he still wanted me to pay him the $75 service fee. I was not home and he talked my wife into giving him a check for doing nothing.

Can not be leave it. Called home Warrenty company about backed up kitchen sink Sunday. Intercity called Monday would be out Tuesday afternoon . Arrived did not have right tools so job now rescheduled for Thursday morning. Tech had to use my waste basket and my drinking glass to empty sink. I see 3 locations for INTERCITY PLUMBING the phone number I have is 760-323-3455
