We focus on all aspects of plumbing repair and renovation. This includes water heaters, faucets, showers, toilets, hidden leaks, sewer blockages, camera inspections, leak detection, repiping, rerouting, gas repiping, and gas line fixes.
We have been a family-owned business in the Coachella Valley, Hi-Desert, and Inland Empire for five generations. Our team includes skilled male and female plumbing technicians. Our mission is to assist our customers in every possible way.
I’m Jim, and I pride myself on my honesty and willingness to assist. At 16, my grandfather imparted his plumbing knowledge to me. I have passed this knowledge on to my daughter and son, just as their great-grandfather did for me. We maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with our clients.
I’d like to point out that we collaborate with three home warranty companies and take on over 80 calls a day. We follow stringent guidelines and regulations dictated by their contracts on what actions we can take. The majority of bad reviews are due to warranty companies not covering certain problems, making us the middleman who gets blamed. I do not pay Yelp to highlight my positive reviews, despite their regular outreach. Our own rating system through the warranty company explains why we are their preferred choice. If we were as bad as these reviews claim, we wouldn’t have secured these warranty agreements. I appreciate your attention.

I called Inter City Plumbing because I needed upgrades at my home and they had done work for me in the past over the years. The receptionist was rude and short. She said she could not find my information from previous visits, they were able to find my name in the past. She took my information and said she would call me back. I never heard back from her. I have been a customer for years. I won't be calling back.
Alona S.This is literally the worst company I have ever dealt with, plumbing or not. On 9/8/20 I had them come out due to some stoppages. The plumber parked behind me in my driveway. I had a dentist appointment so I was going to leave him here with other members of the household. I politely asked the plumber, who looked like he was on meth, to move his truck because I had to leave. He yelled ""dammit"" and threw his screwdriver, scaring the crap out of me. On October 12th I called them back because the stoppage was still happening. They scheduled me for 10/14. Nobody showed up. I called the company and the, always rude, receptionist basically said ""my bad"" and rescheduled me for the following Monday, 10/19. In the meantime one of our bathrooms was completely unusable. Monday rolls around, nobody shows up. Or calls. At that point my boyfriend came over and fixed it. I have had bad experiences with them in the past and have repeatedly asked AHS to not send them. However They keep coming! I will definitely refuse their services in the future.
Jen C.I had a good experience. The receptionist was nice and professional. The technician quickly identified the problem and assisted with connecting me to the right specialist to fix the problem (it was an appliance problem, not a plumbing problem).

I should've checked the reviews first before i even went to this company.. the lady on the phone that callled me was rude to schedule an appointment, then the appointment day came and here comes Adrian. he was very rude to start offered him a shoe cover and he just tossed it away and said i have one. I reported a plumbing leak that maybe its coming from the jacuzzi. He checked it out and immediately said that the leak is coming from the Jacuzzi (we already know that) and not from the plumbing or pipes. I asked if he will open up the ceiling to check on the pipes and plumbing issues, He said no and he will not open or cut a hole to check the pipes he said he doesn't want to ""make a mess"". how can you ""solve"" the problem and point out that its the jacuzzi's problem when he didn't even looked at the plumbing and pipes??? he started walking away even though I have more questions and just yelled out ""I'm not a Jacuzzi expert"" i didn't call for a Jacuzzi problem I called about a LEAK! I called the office and spoke to a rude lady too, she said that Adrian reported and told her that he didn't cut open the ceiling because there's a sofa, my tv on the wall and an entertainment console close to the water damage. they said that we should've took everything out before he got there if we wanted him to open up the ceiling. we offered him that we can cover it and move it on the side and he just started walking away and just yelled out ""im not a Jacuzzi expert and I'm not gonna that that"". he is the worst plumbing guy, i have worked with other plumbing companies before and it doesn't matter where the water damage is at or whats below or around, they ALWAYS WORK THEIR WAY AROUND IT AND GET THE JOB DONE. but this Company and Especially Adrian just wants to collect the money and leave as soon as possible without doing the job. and submit his report to home warranty insurance so they can get paid. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL THEY ARE THE WORST! check the reviews here and google and look for the reviews they are actually one of the worst out there. just look for other plumbing company or even a good handyman from home depot will do a better job than this company or ADRIAN.
Avoid this company at every expense.
No customer services skills long hold times . Very inflated parts 40 dollars at Lowe's 120 from this company,
Ladies inthe office are rude and act as if they are doing you a favor.
You will wait two weeks for a simple water

My experience was positive with this company. The office staff was courteous, the technician, Randy was prompt and efficient. He diagnosed the problem with my water heater and had it repaired and working in less than 1 hour.
Ronald T.My home warranty sent Intercity for a slab leak. Luckily Jim was my plumber. It took Jim all of 15 minutes to identify the leak and he suggested options to fix the leak. Jim also identified a serious mold problem which I had to address. As scheduled by Inter-cities professional staff Jim and his crew showed up on time and repaired the leak. The job was done professionally and neatly. Jim explained exactly what needed to be done and completed the job.
When I read the reviews from these cry babies who expect the job for free. It makes me more appreciative that I now have a professional to call for all plumbing problems.

G T.We were referred to Inter City Plumbing by American Home Shield, our home warranty company. The technician ""Adrian"" arrived and asked what the problem was with our garbage disposal. After I opened the cabinet and showed him our unit, he noticed it was a Badger 5 Plus. He immediately went into ""up-charge"" mode by saying he is only authorized to install a ""builder's standard"" product and that it would cost an additional $125 due to a modification, but that I can upgrade to the existing product for an ""up-charge"". I immediately told him not to work on our site because my AHS policy covers ""everything"" including materials with a comparable product. He seemed annoyed and quickly walked out of our home without performing any work. As he was walking out, he said, ""It's nothing personal."" I immediately called the company and was told by the bookkeeper (who was working as a substitute) about the situation. She took down the information and said it would be relayed to the office manager who was out sick.
About one hour later, I received a call back from the book keeper who said the technician was correct in asking for $125 to modify the authorized product, but that it would only be $100 to upgrade to a Badger product. I will dispute the $100 deductible paid to AHS and request a different plumbing company be assigned to our home repair.
***** IN SUMMARY, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE DISHONEST, UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL AND A BAD TESTAMENT TO THE PLUMBING INDUSTRY ****
It is obvious they prey on Senior Citizens who often do not voice their concerns and inequities. I will definitely be filing a formal complaint with the BBB and County Senior Social Services.

A representative from AHS contacted Inter City Plumbing for an explanation and diagnosis of repairs. She was told it is routine for Inter City to charge the service fee to AHS, and ""squeeze"" an additional $125 or $100 from the pocket of the customer. Per AHS THEY WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE REFERRAL LIST AS THEY DO NOT REPRESENT THE QUALITY OF SERVICE EXPECTED BY AHS CUSTOMERS. FURTHER, due to the inequities displayed by Inter City Plumbing and technician "" Adrian"", a complaint and reimbursement of the $100 deductible will be processed.
Stay away from this company!! Horrible plumbing service, and customer service. Same as everyone commenting here, office people are rude and do not even try to be nice to an unsatisfied customer. Specially when their own plumber didn't do a good job. Home warranty sent this plumbing company to take a look at my water pressure, because it was really low. Plumber took out the pressure regulator from my garage, put it back in and did not tighten the bolts hard enough, so now I have a leak in my garage for the past 24 hrs!! Called the office to send the same plumber or any one else to fix their mistake and of course nothing was done! Called in the morning and office lady said that I need to create another ticket with home warranty to send their plumber over to fix a ""new problem""??!! Yes a new problem that your plumber created!! And that's not it, their plumber also broke my kitchen faucet and told me to call the manufacturer so they can send me a new one!!? Wow! I will give them 0 stars but of course you can't.
Very unprofessional and rude. Does not know how to appropriately communicate with customers. While they expect you to stand by for 1-4 hours; if it is confirmed it is confirmed !!!!! Since I missed the technician calling while I was in the shower; they said I missed my appointment. How dumb is that! Yet I called the tech back, he didn't answer, and they stated he couldn't come back the same day. If we have a confirmed appointment for 1 to 4 hours of ""my"" time; then show up first. I don't need a pre-call. Honor our appointment time. Very unprofessional...........
