Steve, Neal, Earl & Erik from Intelligent Plumbing worked on my clogged pipes, rusty garbage disposal issue and a frozen pipe at different times in the past several weeks. All the service men were professional, knowledgeable and they fixed the various problems expertly. I would highly recommend these plumbing contractors. Their prices are fair and they took the extra time to explain my issues and options. They also came out within the window of time promised. Thank you!

We have used intelligent plumbing twice for emergencies. Both times they were out here within two hours and the first emergency they could not fix, but they told us how to go about getting a new hot water heater through our home warranty program.The second emergency was our toilets backing up and they came quickly and immediately fix them. Since we are trying to sell the house they gave us some options on whether we put in a new toilets or not depending on if we want to upgrade the bathrooms.

I would highly recommend this plumbing company since we've had such a wonderful luck with them and they have always been pleasant nice and efficient. I feel that the cost of their services is right around the cost of everybody else's services .

Neal was awesome!! I had a complicated issue in my basement with a non functional ejector pump and a leaky water heater. Neal had given me the price upfront for both the pump and the water heater. He did an amazing job. I didn't have to stress out about anything. He even took away the damp carpeting in the basement. He is very professional and knowledge able. We would highly recommend Neal to everyone. Perfectly done the first time!

This company is not upfront about how long a job will take, that's why they use the ""flat fee"" instead of an hourly rate. That way they can charge excessive amounts of money for small jobs that really do not take much time. We had an ejector pump that stopped working simply because the switch that detected a full basin no longer worked. The job took the plumber about 45 mins to install a new switch. Total cost to us: $653! The breakdown: (1) Switch cost $193, (2) Labor for 45 mins - a whopping $460! This is a dishonest way to scam customers out of money. I strongly recommend that you avoid this company for any plumbing work. They also charge $39 just to give you a quote. Ridiculous.

I'm calling around to get quotes for replacing the sewer line from the stack to the septic tank. This is a major amount of work and I want to get competitive bids for the job. I called Intelligent and the person that answered was very friendly up until the point that he told me it would be $39 for someone to come out and provide an estimate. Unfortunately, I will not pay someone to try and get my business. It tells you a little bit about the company if they don't want to take the time to provide an estimate and get your business. Either they are so busy that they don't have the time or they loose too many jobs because they are not competitive and they want to try and recoup the cost of loosing a bid.

Either way, I don't pay someone to provide an estimate.

Saw your response. Pure garbage. I pay the bills in our house. Never received an invoice. Out of curiosity, how much was it for - in relation to the thousands of dollars that we paid you over the last 5 years?

This company did a great job putting in our basement bathroom. Everyone working here is very professional and I have no hesitation to call them again for any plumbing needs. They showed up on time, kept the house clean and were flexible with any of our requests.

DO NOT use this company! After many years of service we were recently told that we were placed on a ""do not service list"" and the company was unable to provide any explanation regarding why this occurred. Despite having paid all of our bills in full we were denied service when we needed it most. Worse, we have products in our home installed by Intelligent Plumbing (aka Kerr Mechanical) with extended warranties that are no longer being honored. Call any other plumbing company in Chicago EXCEPT for this one!!

After a bad experience with another plumbing service, we found Intelligent Plumbing simply via Google and they were a life saver. We called late at night and they came the next day. It turns out the situation which we had been told was nothing but a faulty exhaust fan was a leaky pipe and mold. Neil was very thorough and handled everything same day. He made sure that we knew exactly what we were paying for and exactly what needed to be replaced. We would definitely recommend and use them again!
