My dad used them to replace an old boiler in 2019.
He purchased a top of the line Crown - Velocity Boiler. This boiler now is damaged and completely junked after only 2 years. I have no heat in my home. I reached out to them to find out what my recourse was. We scheduled for them to come and physically inspect boiler, that appointment was rescheduled. Then the owner calls me at the time of the 2nd appointment to tell me they can't do anything since THEIR warranty was over. Plus I was told that when I make the claim, the manufacture will ask for me to go through the contractor, but that I insist that the manufacture deals with me only and not them. On top of that, I was told that the only way they would help me with my claim was if I gave them the contract to install new boiler. WOW!!!!! I had them out in 2020 as the boiler was not working and the guy who inspected my boiler stated that the insides of my boiler looked like I had a flood, but the outside showed no evidence of a flood. He wasn't sure what the cause was, but told me that he could change the parts inside. What a joke. I left it alone as the boiler started working. I had another contractor come in to change my water tank and I asked them to take a look, told them the situation, that I was told the insides could be changed. He looked puzzled and said no way you can change these insides, why would Ingrams tell you that? When the new contractor changed my water heater, he also cleaned out my boiler / radiator lines. Me not fully understanding that, I contracted Ingrams to come and do this for me. I was charge a pretty penny for Ingrams to come out to do this work. Was told that this would take a while but they were finished in less than 20 minutes. There was nothing for them to do, did they have integrity to tell me that. NO!!!! they took my money for no work. This company is crooked and I would stay far far far away!!!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would.
WOW! What a rip off is this guy! He quotes me a $65 service call for a leak in the ceiling. After ripping out the wet dry wall he discovers a tiny leak at an elbow junction of copper piping. He then quotes me a $500 repair price PLUS another $500 for dry walling. When I told him that I did not want him to do the job, he then he tried to charge me another $30 labor fee for opening the ceiling--which he did not quote beforehand (and what a hack job he did on the opening the ceiling). BEWARE. This guy is in the business of quoting exorbitant prices to scare you off and collecting his service fee. It's a total sham. He doesn't want to do the work; he just wants to collect his $65 service call and be on his way. I would say just steer clear of this dude altogether!
not only is are they bad at what they do... they are also bad land lords I moved into one of their properties when I was pregnant and right from the door there were problems with toilets over flooding pipes leaking from the ceiling. when my daughter was born and not even a week old, we sitting in the bedroom when out of no where the bedroom ceiling came crashing down on us with water everywhere I was so scared for my daughter I scooped her up and ran into the living room and upon calling them the lady that answered the phone was so rude she yelled at me and hung up the phone multiple times I was so frantic I called the police and the ambulance for my baby it took them all day to come and when they did come it took them 3 days to fix the problem the workers were lazy they just did a patch job for everything and didn't even care about that they didn't have all the supplies they kept having to run in and out of the apartment =just to finish.. I was oo uneasy after this situation I packed up my bags and left
Lawrence L.Please do not use them! This is the worse Plumbung company i have encountered I pad them $4000 to do a plumbing job and they did not finish the job ad insisted i pay them extra to complete the job they should have done in the first place
Abijah I.STAY AWAY! these guys are a bunch of crooks and robbers....
I needed to have my water meter reversed. Couldn't get in touch with my plumber buddy so I called these guys for a quote. Keep in mind this is a 10 min job, real easy. Take the meter off, turn it around, put it back on. I couldn't believe they wanted to charge me $395.00 for that!!! Are you freaking kidding me?!?!?!?
can you imagine if it were a more complex job? I understand wanting to make money and having competitive pricing... $120 would have been much, but i prob would have paid it out of convenience. But $395.00 for a simple 10 min job is freaking disgusting.. Use these guys at your own risk..
Horrible customer service. One of their plumbers (owner?) came out to bid a job and wrote ""repair $x, replace $x"". He detailed over the phone but refused to write down WHAT exactly was going to be replaced and or WHAT would actually be repaired. I wanted him to do the job rather than asking 3-4 people for estimates, but he refused to write it down and fax/email/text picture it to me. He says, we'll write it down once we do the job. I refused because I didn't want him to play switch-a-roo and change it up once he got there and started doing the work and I took time off from work to get it done. No thanks. Reeks of shadiness.
James B.I called this place on a recommendation of a friend because I have an urgent plumbing matter. The woman who answered started taking my info and then asked if I was the tenant or owner. When I said tenant, she , wanted my landlord's info. This really sort of pissed me off and made me uncomfortable because my name is on the lease, I'm the one hiring the service and paying for it, and I shouldn't have to involve anyone else unless I really want to. I told her as much, and she kept repeating ""it's just for our system, it's just for the computer"" and *I* kept saying ""why? you can't seem to tell me WHY."" She kept saying that she would be 'unable to move forward' without the information.
Finally I said that if we were going to go any further I needed to talk to someone who could explain this policy to me. SUDDENLY she was all ""Well, let me go ahead and push through and see if it will let me..."" So she starts taking the rest of my info and then asks when I'm available. I said ""I am available to be here any time you need me to be.""
So she says she's going to send the info out to dispatch and someone will get back to me. I asked ""Well, okay, I mean..can you give me a window of when I should be expecting them? I need someone soon, not just whenever they arrive."" Suddenly she's lecturing me that it's my fault because I didn't tell her a specific time I would be home! It's not like saying I can make myself available to them is the same as saying ""I'll sit at home 24/7, come by randomly whenever!""
The whole situation felt unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. I told her I didn't think it was going to work out, and she hung up the phone mid-sentence.
A real grade-A classy operation here, definitely.
Ames A.OK! WOW!! First of all..Jamar who answered the phone...I am sorry if I don't get his name right....who SOOOO friendly. I felt like he wanted my sewer problem to go away. Friendly, nice, polite, patient almost sweet...
When I called him to say I was in need, available, ready to solve the problem...he said the technician was nearby and would call me. He DID! And within 10 MINUTES of calling me he was there! he solved the problem, fixed by back-up and was gone in 30 minutes. YES...it cost $120 but it was WORTH it. Jeepers! I highly recommend this company!!!
