Ray is a true professional, and I'm very pleased he came out to perform a sewer camera inspection for me. The camera inspection was thorough, and I received a detailed diagram of the surveyed area, complete with a summary report and recommendations. I was only expecting to see a basic video, but he took the time to annotate the video footage so I can easily re-visit it any time in the future without having questions. All this at a more than fair price. I'm not sure there's much else you could ask for.

They are AMAZING!!!

They came out same day that we contacted them, did a thorough inspection of the system, clearly marked the sewer line joint locations and distances, and was able to get past a tricky joggle in the line that a previous inspection company got stuck at.

My realtor (who has used plenty of other guys in the past) was also thoroughly impressed and singing their praises.

So the city needed us to provide them with a CCTV of our new sewer line and my new contractor, B&R Creative Builders, reached out to Ray and was able to get him out the next day with an assistant and recorded everything. They were very courteous , professional and efficient. They even have a card reader with them so that you can pay via credit card!

Ray promised me that the link to the video would be emailed to me by Saturday and sure enough it was along with all the proper paperwork in the email where we could just forward over to the city. Super efficient and thorough!!

I highly would recommend Ray if you need to have your sewer line checked if you are doing a new construction, buying a house, etc!

I should have written this review a year ago, but never too late! We were buying a house in Woodland Hills and I had Ray Burns of Independent Sewer Camera Services do an inspection of the drain/sewer lines while we were in escrow. The listing agent had erroneously said the house was on city sewer, but Ray discovered it was actually on a septic tank! He also found some sewer lines under the house that were corroded and leaking. These were not discovered by the general property inspector we already had, so I know Ray was extra detailed. With Ray's recommendation, we also got a septic inspection. All this resulted in us getting an $8000 credit from the sellers, which we would have had to pay ourselves if Ray hadn't caught these things! I've known about Ray's services for years, but neglected to have him do an inspection on another property in Santa Monica when buying it (the agent assured us the owner kept the drain lines cleared every 6 months, so I decided not to spend the money on the inspection. BAD decision!) We ended up having to replace some cracked sewer pipe under concrete slab which cost us thousands out of pocket. If only I had utilized Ray's services then, I could have negotiated on that one too! The drain lines might have been cleared of tree roots, etc, as the agent said. But who knew there was an actual cracked iron pipe four feet under the slab? I could have known, if I'd hired Ray! Bottom line is, if you are buying a house, call Ray for an inspection. It will be worth the investment. And if he finds nothing, that's great! You will be happy to have peace of mind in your new home! And if you already own a home and are having sewer or tree root issues, call Ray too. He is just a very honest, reasonable, professional and detailed guy.

I own a home in Long Beach, CA that is almost 60 years old. I have a 4"" wide 50' long sewer line that is surrounded by 60 year old ficus trees and their invasive root system. I have been trying to clear this line for several weeks. This sewer line is under a cement side walk it's entire run and surrounded by two water mains, one gas main and several 1"" PVC runs. Replacing it would have taken weeks and many, many thousands of dollars. Two previous plumbing contractors told me it could not be cleared and had to be replaced. A friend of mine, who is an architect, recommended Ray, owner of Independent Sewer Camera Services. After about two and a half hours he (and his assistant Jesus) not only completely cleared the 50' line under the side walk, but he also cleared an additional 130' beyond the problem area. After he cleared the line he then sent a camera down showing that the entire line was in good condition, especially for its age. A few hours and a very fair price later, my problem is gone. Thanks.

This is the best service you'll get. I'm not one to write many reviews unless I'm moved to, and this is one of them.

Ray has done several, large projects for us (digging trenches, repairing pipe with high-grade material, etc.) He delivered the goods and came through for us every time. And, last but not least, what a nice guy! Hard working and great service, all with a smile. I felt compelled to write this to express my gratitude, but also to alert the public. Many industries can give you a hard time and it can be troubling, but rest assured you can sleep at night when Ray is on your project. Sorry it took a little while to write, but only a junior-senior moment in web technology was stopping me..lol). I highly recommend Independent Sewer Camera Services, with Ray Burns at the helm!

I highly recommend this sewer camera inspection specialist. Ray communicates well, was punctual, had the proper specialty equipment, and plenty of experience in interpreting the video images. You will be able to see the blockage and then he can show you exactly where a hole can be dug to access the area of the blockage. He gives the option of recording the video and he uploads it to an unlisted you tube link or burns it to DVD. The price is very reasonable. Very professional service.
