In August 2000: Our founder, Matt Powell launched Imperial Plumbing in Midlothian, VA.

By June 2001: Matt operated out of a modest shed with a small team of employees.

In July 2004: The company became officially incorporated by the state of Virginia.

By June 2005: The company acquired our maiden fleet of new service vans.

During 2005: Matt celebrated one million in revenue!

During 2006: We expanded into a new location in the Sommerville Court district with a team of ten employees.

During 2007: The company reached two million in revenue!

In 2009: A downturn hit the state of Virginia.

In 2010: We weathered the financial challenges to emerge a leader in the plumbing sector.

November 2012: The company introduced a digging machine for installing sewer and water lines.

In January 2013: Matt purchased advanced sewer snakes and cameras.

Year of 2014: We reached three million in sales!

Back in 2000, Matt Powell was a determined 21-year-old spending 18-hour days as a journeyman plumber. He had one thousand dollars in his pocket and a vision to deliver top-notch plumbing service and quality work to the Richmond community. Fast forward fifteen years, Matt is the successful owner of a prosperous company with over 10 crews and 25 employees, generating an annual income of three million dollars.

In the summer of 2000, after earning his master plumber's license, Matt created Imperial Plumbing, Inc. His business kicked off out of a small shed with a small number of employees. In the early phase, Matt focused on new construction, but it wasn't long before he expanded into complete repair and maintenance for houses and commercial properties.
