I hired this company for my rental property renovation. They claimed the deal they gave me was a "" killer deal"". I admit the price was heavily discounted...about 15000 for painting a 1800 sq ft house, full kitchen remodel, 3 bathrooms remodel, installing basement flooring, installing patio door and front door, and also repairing the ceiling, but there's a saying ""you got what you paid for"", and this couldn't be more true in my case. The contract states that the project would take 2-3 weeks but it ended up taking 4+ months. Honestly, If the jobs were completely finished, I would choose to not write a review. But the job was substantially not completed, and because I already paid them in full , I feel obligated to write this review. The reasons for 1 star review are as following:
1. They installed the front door knob wrong. Instead of fixing it, they left the front door UNLOCKED, and gave me the key to the storm door.
2. They did not hook up the plumbing to the kitchen sink. There's no plumbing to the kitchen sink AT ALL. Not only that, they covered up the hot water valve, making it difficult for the next person to come in and do their job.
3. They did not install shower switches for two bathrooms. in fact, they didn't leave enough room for the shower switch. Whoever that comes in next would have to cut out tiles to install the switch. They installed the shower shell wrong in the basement, leaving too little space for the shower switch. To fix it it would involve tearing down the wall against the shower to get access to the shower switch.
NOTE: Just the plumbing work alone to fix items 2 and 3 would cost $3400 (see attached quote. I'm still trying to get quotes from other places. But it has been really hard because no one wants to finish up other people's unfinished work. The reason I stopped working with these guys was because it took them 3 weeks to just give me the keys to house. They have repeatedly told me the job is finished. Well, here is what the finished work looks like - NOT finished at all. (see quote from plumbing company)
4. They installed CLOSET knobs throughout the house, for all the rooms, including bathroom. I just couldn't wrap my head around this one. Who would do such a thing?
5. They installed the master bathroom shower door on the opposite side
5. They also contracted landscaping work for me. $1000 to remove weeds from the yard, put down weed cloth, put down mulch and plant 5-6 bushes in the flower bed. The only thing they did was removed the weeds, it looks like they just mowed over it, and put down mulches (the cheapest kind). They didn't put down weed cloth, much less planting the bushes. So now my back yard is full of weeds again
Hiring this company was a big mistake on my part. I just can't believe how unprofessional these people were. Please see the pictures for proof.
